Hi, Is there a way to receive a notification when a shared file is opened or downloaded?
Also, could you clarify why the “share via email” option only works for existing accounts? If I want to send a shared file link to an external email address, it would be much more efficient to do this directly from the share settings.
At the moment, I have to copy the URL and send it manually outside the system, which feels like an unnecessary extra step.

There’s only a notification for when file is shared with you currently.
If you mean the “invite people” option in the “share” dialog, it will just send a link to specified users, but share the file with them as well.
I tried your android app, but there is no option to auto sync folder to bedrive?

Do bedrive support webdav or ftp or ftps for user to upload the file to their account?

Yes, both ftp and webdav are supported. You can configure it from “admin > settings > uploading” page.
I mean can user connect via FTP apps to upload files to bedrive, not FTP or Webdav as storage backend.
Files need to be uploaded either via BeDrive site or the API currently.
Do bedrive create image thumbnails of pics and videos if we use any s3 compatible storage providers instead of local disk?

Yes, thumbnails are created regardless of where uploaded files are stored.

Thumbnails for video are not generated currently, but it’s something we are looking into adding with a future update.

If it does, with Rclone it would be possible to send files from Google Drive to Bedrive.
We do have support for WebDAV for uploading files and you might be able to use that for Rclone, but there’s no built-in support for google drive currently.

We are still facing the same unresolved issues that we have reported multiple times since purchasing this script.
After updating to the latest version today, we performed fresh tests with the same results:
• Uploading a small ZIP (~2 MB) works correctly • Uploading a ZIP around 70 MB fails with an error
At the same time, the script reports:
> “Maximum upload size on your server currently is set to 5000M”
Server limits are correctly configured (`upload_max_filesize` / `post_max_size` are higher than this), however the script does not appear to read these values and seems to rely on `memory_limit` instead, which is not correct for file uploads, especially when chunked uploads are enabled.
Additionally, when files are uploaded and then deleted via the application, the files still remain on the storage (SFTP), leading to orphaned files and incorrect storage usage.
These are not new issues. They have been reported during our active support period and have never been properly resolved. Please do not advise opening a new ticket — the problem has existed since purchase and remains unresolved.
We are requesting:
1. A clear explanation of why uploads fail above ~70 MB despite detected server limits 2. Clarification on how the script determines the maximum upload size 3. A fix or explanation for why deleted files are not actually removed from storage
We would appreciate a technical response addressing these points directly, not generic server configuration advice.

It’s hard to say what is causing this exactly without taking a look at the site. Could be a limit on hosting provider’s side, or cloudfare, or on the external FTP server. Reducing “chunk size” in “admin > settings > uploading” page should avoid these limits in most cases though.
How to upload files and save them their original (as-is) format, for example – .jpg, .mp4, .pdf, .zip, .iso, etc.?

You can restore using backup of any previous version of database. Visit “site.com/udpate” page afterwards and it will migrate database to latest version.

Currently PDF preview depends on native browser support, so if mobile browser does not support PDFs, they will not be previewable.
