Hi, I am about to purchase but do you have the ability to place orders from the Online Menu?
Placing orders through the online menu is not supported at the moment.
Ok when will this be available..like an ETA because its key to our operations. Also can the online menu have more features like the company logo and and name so people can tell what coming menu they are looking at

There is no SaaS version.
There is no PWA or mobile-app version.
Regarding the online menu features (such as adding a logo, company name, additional customization, or enabling orders through the menu): There are no improvements planned for the online menu at this time, as I am currently focused on developing other major features in the system, which require a significant amount of time. Once those are completed, I may consider enhancements to the online menu in the future.
Pls i need support …having some issues with installation. The documentation is not updated
I recently purchased Forkiva POS and have set it up for testing to see if it can work for my operation. Overall, I’m impressed with the features and functionality so far they seem well-designed and intuitive.
I do have a couple of questions/points I’d like to clarify:
When checking out an order, I don’t see an option for the cashier to enter the amount of money received from the customer, as most POS systems allow. This feature is important so that the amount of change due can be calculated and printed on the receipt. I’m not sure if this is a setup issue on my end or if it’s currently unavailable.
Is there a plan to allow receipts to be previewed and printed via the browser? This would be very useful for our workflow and would make it easier to fully replace our current POS system.
I really like what I’ve seen so far and would love to move fully to Forkiva, but these features are critical for our daily operations.

Regarding your first point: The option for the cashier to enter the amount of money received from the customer is not available in the current version. However, it will be included in the upcoming update. We have completely redesigned the POS interface, including the payment and invoice pages, and this feature will be part of the new workflow.
As for your question about receipt preview and printing through the browser: Yes, we are currently working on enhancing the printing system, and browser-based receipt preview and printing are planned as part of the improvements.
These features, along with several other enhancements, will be available in the next update. The update is in progress but requires some time to finalize and fully test before release.

Yes, creating, editing, and deleting are all disabled in the demo version to prevent any misuse or data tampering.

There is no print preview available at the moment. The supported printing method is TCP printing only, and it currently supports English language only

How scalable is this system for a very busy restaurant?
Ingredient deduction has been supported in the system from the beginning, and you can review this functionality in the Demo. You can view all running orders directly from the POS page. Table orders are also managed within the POS, where each table is clearly assigned its active order. The ordering process has been greatly simplified, and it is difficult to make it any simpler while maintaining efficiency and speed. Order printing is supported; however, it requires installing the Print Agent, which enables automatic order printing to the appropriate kitchen printers. Regarding system readiness and scalability, you can review the Demo to confirm that the system fully meets your operational requirements and can handle very busy restaurant environments.
i have reviewed, and can see the system is great. i noticed however, the pos screen, posting items to order, takes very long r lags, waiter must be selected manually instead of automatically by loggein waiter.
Where do i defined which food items print in which kitchens, for KOT. is it possible to have Captain order, that lists all order items, irrespective of kitchens.
We also need pin login support, with onscreen number keys, for waiters, and cashiers.
is there room for waiter, order App. etc. Will you support indexdb for offline support, where necessary, or Desktop companion, etc
You can define which food items are printed in each kitchen through the Kitchen Account settings. In each kitchen, you can select the categories that belong to that specific kitchen.
If no category is selected for a kitchen, then all order items will be sent to that kitchen by default.
I can’t see the invoice format after making a sale from the POS. I also can’t view or print invoices from past sales. I’d like to see the invoice format before making a purchase. Please share a screenshot or make it available on the demo.
Currently, there is no invoice preview after making a sale — the invoice is printed directly once the printer settings are configured correctly.
At the moment, there is no option to view or print previous invoices, but this feature will be worked on very soon.

Customer management has already been implemented and fully integrated with the POS and sales modules. Additionally, discounts and voucher features have been added, and we are currently working on the customer loyalty system along with several other enhancements. A new update will be released soon , in shaa Allah.
I could not able to place the order? I just want to see to see bill, are we able to customize the bill?
Once the order is placed, the bill is not shown on screen — it is printed directly if a printer is configured.
can you make order payment more easy that user can select multi payment for example user make the payment 2 times by bank transaction so allow to select same method many time with writing ref number for each transaction if not clear send me you email i will give you example

hello, will you add in seperate kitchen feature in future? Like bar counter and hot kitchen, which will also print out different menu item on different printers
Yes, in Forkiva, when you select the Kitchen printer type, you can assign specific product categories to that printer. This allows you to create separate kitchen zones like Bar Counter, Hot Kitchen, etc. Each printer will then only receive the relevant items based on the assigned categories, so orders are automatically routed to the correct kitchen station.
We’re also planning to enhance this feature further to support even more advanced kitchen workflows in future updates.
I purchase the product but i did not find PostgreSQL
PostgreSQL is supported in Forkiva. When you run the installer, in the Database Setup step, you can select PostgreSQL from the database driver dropdown (next to MySQL / MariaDB).
Just enter your PostgreSQL connection details (host, port, database name, username, and password), and the system will work with PostgreSQL without extra configuration.

This is expected — the demo is a beta version and certain actions are disabled to prevent the content from being tampered with.
Waiter Screen Feature
The system already works based on permissions. You can adjust the waiter’s permissions from the Roles & Permissions settings so that completed kitchen orders will appear in their list, and they can update them as collected.
As for multi-payment per order, this is already planned and will be available in upcoming updates.

Yes, Laravel officially supports both MySQL and PostgreSQL. While Forkiva is primarily tested with MySQL, I’ll run tests with PostgreSQL soon and confirm compatibility for you.

Thank you for your interest! While it’s not fully automatic—since each order type (like delivery, dine-in, drive-thru, etc.) may have its own workflow—we are planning to support all common order types. You’ll be able to define which order types are available per branch.
The same applies to payment methods (cash, bank transfer, online gateways, etc.)—they can be customized for each branch based on your business needs. We aim to make the system as flexible as possible to suit different restaurant operations.
Please send me the specific order types and payment methods you require, and I will review and consider implementing them accordingly.

- Dine-In – Customer eats at the restaurant, order is linked to a table.
- Takeaway / Carry-Out – Customer places order, collects it, and eats elsewhere.
- Delivery – Order is delivered to the customer’s address.
- Drive-Thru – Customer orders and picks up food without leaving the car.
- Curbside Pickup – Customer orders in advance and food is delivered to their car outside.
- Online Order (Website/App) – Customer places order via website or mobile app, then chooses pickup or delivery.
- Self-Service Kiosk Order – Customer orders and pays directly using a kiosk inside the restaurant.
- Pre-Order / Advance Order – Customer schedules the order for a future time (e.g., birthday, event).
- Catering / Group Order – Large orders for events, offices, or parties.

Is there direct printing feature with multi printers, cashier printer, kitchen printer?
Currently, Forkiva supports standard printing through the browser. Direct printing with multiple printers (such as cashier and kitchen) is not supported at this time, but we’re actively working on adding multi-printer support in an upcoming update.
