Problem: Using brands as subcategories is wrong. I suggest a proper custom field relational system.
1. Admin Setup
Brands
Create global brands (Apple, Samsung, Nike).
A model can belong to only one brand.
Models
Create models under a single brand (e.g., iPhone 15, iPad Air → Apple).
Brand–Subcategory Assignment:
For each subcategory, choose which brands are allowed.
Smartphones → Apple, Samsung
Sneakers → Nike, Adidas
2. Seller Posting Flow
1. Seller selects subcategory.
2. System shows only brands allowed for that subcategory.
3. If brand has models for that subcategory → show Model dropdown.
4. If brand has no models → hide Model field.
3. Field Options
Each custom field (Brand, Model, Color) should allow:
Show in Filters
Show in Search Results
Include in Search Index (e.g., typing “Apple” finds all Apple items)
Depends on another field (Model depends on Brand)
4. Key Rules
A model cannot be reused by another brand.
Model dropdown must show only models that belong to the selected brand AND the selected subcategory. Eg ipad Air can’t appear as a model of the iPhone though it’s “brand” is Apple.
Brands with no models must still work (e.g., Nike)
Otherwise this is the best classifieds script ever.

Regarding the brand/model structure: the current setup in our script is designed with multi-level categories and subcategories, where each category and subcategory can have its own custom fields. Subcategories can also inherit custom fields from their parent category, giving full flexibility in how you structure your data.
The demo content (brands, categories, subcategories, and their fields) is added purely for demonstration purposes so buyers can quickly understand the system. You are free to fully customize it according to the structure you’ve described — including creating your own brand, model, and dependent-field logic exactly as you prefer.
Our system fully supports adding custom fields to parent categories, subcategories, or both, and you can manage them in a way that fits your business workflow.

Thank you for the reply, you guys are awesome. I would like to clarify the suggestion because the main issue is still not addressed.
The current problem is duplication. If a brand such as Apple is created as a subcategory under Smartphones, it will also need to appear again under Laptops, Tablets, Accessories, and many other categories. The same applies to Samsung, Lenovo, HP, Tecno, etc.
This results in:
The same brand repeated across multiple categories
A very long and crowded navigation bar
Hundreds of brand subcategories that are difficult to manage
No practical way to handle the large number of brands in some industries (phones, laptops, electronics)
In real marketplace systems, brands are not categories because brands are global and reused in many product types.
To avoid this duplication, the suggestion is:
1. Use “Brand” as a global custom field
It appears only in the subcategories where the admin chooses to enable it.
Categories like Jobs or Services will simply not show the Brand field, which is correct.
2. Use “Model” as a conditional custom field
Model appears only after the user selects a Brand.
The system should show only the models that belong to that specific brand AND that specific subcategory.
Example: Under Mobile Phones → Apple → only iPhone models appear, not MacBooks or iPads.
3. Brands and models should not be duplicated inside the category tree
They should be relational fields, not navigation items, so:
Apple is created once globally
Models like “iPhone 14” or “iPhone 15” belong only to Apple
Each subcategory can decide which brands are allowed and which models apply
This keeps navigation clean, avoids redundancy, and reflects how real marketplaces like OLX, Facebook Marketplace, and others handle brands.

Thank you for the detailed explanation — it really helps. To clarify:
1. Our system allows you to create global custom fields as well as custom fields for specific subcategories. This means you can show “Brand” only where needed.
2. However, multi-level dependent custom fields (Brand → Model → Variant) are not supported. The conditional flow you described, where models change based on the selected brand and subcategory, is not available by default.
3. Our system does support multi-level categories and custom fields at each level, so the admin can still manage fields based on their requirements as mentioned earlier.
If you need the exact Brand → Model dependency, it would require custom development.

I have notice that the app is laggy and slow, and after i search in comments, i found out that this issue was mentioned many times in the last 8 months ( if you search for slow, you will find comments dating back 8 months stating that the application is laggy and slow.)
You habe released several updates since then, yet you have not improve that, and the app still laggy and slow.

Hi, I have the Place API enabled, but the maps seen when selecting locations all seem to be Openstreetmap? Am I doing something wrong?
Also, why cant you select location by entering an address or postcode? Making the user select a pin on a map, or having to select country, city and state seems a bit old-school.

The map may appear as OpenStreetMap, but all locations are coming from the Google Places API as long as billing and your API keys are correctly enabled.
You can type your location in the search bar and Google will show suggestions based on your input. Additionally, you can directly select the location on the map and pick it from there as well.

1- I have an important suggestion to avoid relying on in-app purchases. It’s possible to add a wallet that users can top up, and then use it to pay for the services they benefit from in the app.
2- can add recent searches made by the user, or the most searched terms, and display them on the search screen.

Looking for a directory booking and got this. The booking feature was not available, please add it too.
