Hi. Using latest version on a clean WP install but when I try to send a test from the contact form, nothing happens after hitting the submit button. I have the target email set up etc – any suggestions please?
You should check if “wp_mail()” works on your site.
If no, install an SMTP plugin.
I already have WP Mail SMTP installed and working, which is sending test email successfully. The submit button on the Arnica form just doesn’t seem to do anything.
Did you fill in Target Email address in Arnica / Contact Form?
https://prnt.sc/hkDY5saL1tDNYes, as mentioned in my original post, target email is set in Arnica to the same as the SMTP plugin, which delivers tests fine. I’ll try and record the button press event via Chrome in the morning to see if that highlights anything.
You should wpdebug to see PHP errors.
It’s a clean install on managed PHP hosting. If it doesn’t work in that environment it’s not fit for purpose. I was looking at the Vespia option but won’t bother now. I’ll just turn the contact form off and find another option.
You just need to check contactform.php code which includes “wp_mail()” function.

The plug-in does not currently meet the requirements of the GDPR and cannot be used in a compliant manner in Europe. The transmission of a website visitor’s IP address constitutes personal data and may not be transmitted to external hosts without a legal basis.
There must be an option to load Google fonts and the jQuery code locally from the website instead of getting them from an external service.
Could you please integrate an option that allows the data to be stored locally and offers a choice of whether it should be loaded locally or externally? Otherwise, in my opinion, a GDPR-compliant use of the plug-in in Europe is not possible.

You should customize the source code in order to load Google fonts internally.

I am not a programmer and even if I could, I cannot simply reprogram your plug-in so that the jQuery code (from cdnjs.cloudflare.com) and the fonts (from fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com) are available locally on the site.
I hope that you will update the plug-in accordingly so that it can be used in Europe in compliance with the law. Until then, it cannot be used in a legally compliant manner throughout Europe. My site and templates themselves do not connect to third party providers and the fonts are loaded locally by the template and the other plugins. Here I can use a switch to set whether code and fonts should be loaded locally. The GDPR has been in force since 2018.
I hope you can adjust this.
Everyone can use Google fonts as 3rf party. And also, other provides such as Bootstrap does it so.

You should unzip the main zip file and install arnica.zip as “WordPress Plugin”.

Hi. Could you tell me the best way to add line breaks and paragraph spacing to the editors please? When I add it via code on the Main Options tab, it works initially, but further saves strip the code out, and I can get any spacing at all to apply in the About tab editor.

I think, you didn’t enter Google Maps JS API Key. If you share the demo url, I can have a look by “Developer Tools” via Browser.

I think, you removed “Subscribe” button manually. It requires dialog JS code and it gives error.
Remove it by Subscribe / Visibility -> Disable.
No, we disabled subscribe button as you said, now I enabled it still the same. I think there is an incompatibility in your plugin.

You should enable “Coming Soon Mode” and test your site in a different browser where you didn’t login to WP admin panel.

I think you made some edits to my installation in the past, but I think that would be overwritten by your new update. So, I don’t know what is causing this.

I only need your plugin to work properly with the default install. Right now, it is throwing all kinds of errors and visible code.

So strange, I did nothing to fix the problem. Today, I was going in to check settings and the problem just vanished. There were no WP updates, PHP updates, plugin updates since the problem appeared. Now there is no issue. Interesting. Thanks for the help.
Ok. Maybe, another plugin or theme was adding custom HTML code. I removed all of them. I think, you use a CDN and after its cache clears automatically, your site turned to normal.
to change the text color – there’s no color selection option in the editor. What/how can I change the text??
There’re predefined colors. If you want to use a custom color, you ahpuld edit assets/colors/YOUR_SELECTED_COLOR.css file by opening Plugins / Plugin File Editor. You can search old comments abput it.

I’ll add max-width:100% to style.css. But, it won’t be a solution for your site. Because, you use 790px logo! You MUST decrease logo size!

Redux framework is an external which is included for Admin panel. I added its latest version of 4.3.14 and tested it with WP 6.0.
I suggest you to use PHP 8.x. Because, when I checked the error you faced I saw that code ”??” => “Null coalescing” which was introduced in PHP 7.x.
