There should be a way to update instead of having to do a clean install every time. This is incredibly annoying. The support seems terrible to me.
QR Code not loading
i installed the new update whatsapp.js is not getting restored or comming in public_HTML area where the scirpt is installed.
Install the script via web installer
Almost all Puchaser saying the same thing that the WHATSAPPJS is missing and qr is not loading . but you have only one answer to Install the script via webinstaller. We all did via web installer by puttiing license key and then properly DB details and done the installation. But there is not File of WHATSAPP JS and even its not loading the QR. As part of Support at least check once , try one on our cpanel and install it yourself . There is no file.

The update v4.6.5 is broken. The “waserver” (Node.js server) fails to start, which causes the installer to get stuck or show a “Server Error”.
I have debugged this and found the exact problem. You have a “contradiction” in your update:
1. The Bug: The `waserver` (running `whatsapp.js`) fails with this error on ALL Node.js versions (v16, v22, etc.): `SyntaxError: Export ‘cleanup’ is not defined in module at compileSourceTextModule (whatsapp.js:56)`
2. The Contradiction: Your new `package.json` (for v4.6.5) requires Node.js v22 to install (it fails `npm install` on v14/v16). But your `whatsapp.js` code fails to run on v22 (causing the `SyntaxError` above).
This is a bug in the update package. Other users (like ‘iBruno’ in the comments) are reporting the same issue (“server didn’t start”).
Please provide a fixed version (v4.6.6) immediately.
