Proposed Update for Version 4.2

For the upcoming 4.2 release, here are some key features and improvements we should consider: 1. Push Notifications via OneSignal • Trigger notifications whenever a new blog post is published by the admin. • Include an option for users to subscribe to specific blogs so they receive updates only from the ones they’re interested in. • By default, users should be automatically subscribed to the Admin Blog, ensuring they don’t miss important announcements. 2. Email-to-Post Integration • Allow importing or forwarding emails directly as new blog posts, enabling admins (and possibly authorized users) to create posts quickly via email.

These additions would significantly improve engagement and streamline content management

Also we need an updated webview app. Maybe add offline view and messaging integrated instead of having them separate. A more robust actual app

Also what can we expect on the new update?

Feature request for merit system: When user sending merits for site that doesnt use the first or last name function. When sending to the user the merit system searches for first name rather than the @username itself. What happens is when that receiving user is changing their username, the merit system is not able to locate that person as the first name and last name are still kept from the original signed up (first name, last name). If we could either incorporate into changing the first and last name when user changes their usernames, or in the merit system, look for @username rather than their first name. Thank you

First of all, congratulations on 10 years, it really is a terrific script and is only getting better.

Wish list:

1) More permissions for moderators in terns of user control.

2 )Ability to approve more than one user at a time when admin approval is required. (like a check box system).

3) Integration with Patreon’s API.(https://www.patreon.com/portal). A real alternative and multi purpose membership and payment system to provide an income..

Just a quick note that may be helpful for @edy123 regarding “Posting too frequently”... admin can regulate the number of posts.

Settings › Posts > Max Posts/Hour – The Maximum number of posts that user can publish per hour (0 for unlimited).

• Also, in response to @smoise273 another major advantage Sngine offers that others don’t is awesome and efficient tech support!

I would like to request a new anti-spam feature for the platform:

Posting too frequently should trigger a temporary posting restriction. This rate-limit would help prevent spam, automated posting abuse, and low-quality content floods in the community.

Hello. Where do I need to change the default currency? I added a new currency and I can’t make it the default.

Here are some of the feature suggestions identified while exploring Sngine.

1. Background Video Upload Uploading videos currently requires users to wait until the upload completes before posting. Enabling background video uploads would allow users to continue using the site without interruption, reducing the inconvenience of waiting.

2. Automatic Video Quality Selection At present, videos play only in full quality, which can cause buffering and delays. Implementing an automatic quality adjustment feature based on the user’s internet speed will ensure smoother playback.

3. File Size Warning Before Upload When uploading a video, the size-exceeded warning appears only after the upload attempt completes. Displaying this warning before or during the upload process would save users time and reduce frustration.

4. Percentage-Based Progress Bar Adding a percentage-based upload progress bar will make the process more transparent and visually appealing for users.

5. Adding Photos to Existing Posts Currently, users cannot add or modify photos in existing text or image posts. Introducing an option to add or remove photos after a post has been created would greatly enhance flexibility and usability.

6. Image/Video Sharing from Mobile Gallery At present, users can upload images or videos only from within the app. Allowing uploads directly from the mobile gallery’s “Share” option (similar to Facebook, Instagram, or WhatsApp) would make content sharing much more convenient and intuitive.

7. SMS Verification Adding SMS verification through Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) will strengthen user authentication and security.

8. Complete Profile Lock (Like Facebook) Introducing a profile lock feature, similar to Facebook, would allow users to protect their privacy by restricting who can view their full profile or profile photo. This option helps users maintain better control over their personal information and enhances overall security.

sorry, I don’t understand what can I do with a STANDARD license if I cannot charge users? Just to download and have it on my localhost?? for what reason if your software is made to charge users through monetization, a wallet, etc.?
