Hey! Awesome script so far — really loving the workflow. One feature that would make this project 10x better is built-in Chrome Push Notifications for both buyers and sellers.
Here’s what I mean:
When a buyer places an order, the seller gets a real-time Chrome notification (mobile + desktop).
When a buyer sends a chat message, the seller gets a push notification.
When a seller updates the order status, the buyer receives a notification.
Basically: order updates + chat updates → instant push notifications via Firebase.
This would seriously level up user engagement and make the marketplace feel way more professional.
Please consider adding this in a future update — a lot of us would really appreciate it.

Despite all our security settings being active, we are receiving hundreds of spam messages in the contact messages section from the same user. This user performs these actions using an unverified email address. Even after banning and deleting the user from the admin panel, they re-register with the same email and continue sending spam messages.
We contacted our hosting provider and the necessary settings were applied, but the issue persists. We believe that this should not be possible with an unverified email account.

All of our products will have an email blacklist feature in their next major updates. Email addresses added to this list will be unable to register on the site, log in, post comments, use guest checkout (if active), or send a contact or support message. In short, they will be blocked from performing any action that requires an email address.

When adding a product to our site, we create both Turkish and English versions of the product. However, we are experiencing the following issue when switching the website language to English:
- On the English homepage, product titles still appear in Turkish.
- When the product is opened, the product detail page correctly displays the title and description in English.
- In other words, the homepage product listing does not reflect the selected language correctly, while the product detail page does.
We are using the built-in translation feature of the system and do not use any external translation plugin. Therefore, the product titles on the homepage are expected to appear in English when the site language is switched to English.
We kindly request your assistance in checking whether this is a technical issue and in applying the necessary fix.

We use a simple shared hosting for our demos, and NGINX Direct Delivery cache is enabled on that hosting. If your hosting or server uses Apache, you can also significantly improve your site’s loading speed with LiteSpeed Cache.

1. The B2B feature is not currently available in the script. In the next update, we are planning to add a classified ads theme. After releasing this theme, we will continue improving the marketplace side, so this feature may be added in the future. However, we cannot provide an estimated timeline at the moment.
2. Currently, we don’t have a mobile application, and there is no concrete plan for one yet. Our plans regarding a mobile app will become clearer based on our future updates.
3. Yes, you can easily add other languages to Modesy. We have shared the language files for some of the most used languages on our Help Center. You can download them and import them from the ’’Language Settings > Import Language’’ section of the admin panel. You can also edit the translations or add a new language manually.
4. Our code is open source, so if you would like to add additional payment gateways or make other customizations, you can modify the code. We have also prepared a detailed article on our Help Center explaining how to add a new payment gateway, which you can use as a guide. Please note that custom edits are not covered under the item support policy, so if you need assistance with these edits, we recommend working with a developer.

The total view count feature was removed purely for performance reasons. When a site contains 1–2 million products, calculating the total number of views or sorting products based on those view counts puts a heavy load on the system.
For that reason, we’ve temporarily disabled this option. However, you can still see how many views each product has individually on the products page.
In the future, if we add a cron job system to handle such background operations, we plan to move all automated or background tasks to that system. This way, we’ll be able to add extra features like this without affecting overall performance.

This button text can already be customized through the admin language settings. However, allowing each vendor to modify it individually could create several issues. For example, vendors might use inappropriate or misleading call-to-action phrases, which could negatively affect the overall professionalism and consistency of the marketplace. Additionally, such dynamic and uncontrolled text changes might cause layout or design inconsistencies across different product listings.
For these reasons, we generally avoid giving this level of control to vendors and keep it managed centrally by the admin to ensure quality, consistency, and compliance across the entire platform.

Yes, this can indeed solve the user input issue. However, we still recommend implementing this by modifying the code specifically for your own site, since we haven’t received similar requests or suggestions regarding this part so far. This change is due to recent security policy updates (such as those implemented by Google) that restrict email sending from third-party applications. In other words, when the stock of a featured or discounted product reaches zero:
The product could be automatically removed from the featured products list, and
It could also be removed from the discounted products section.
Adding such an automatic feature would help the system work more smoothly and efficiently.

Yes, such automated systems are always better. However, PHP cannot perform these tasks automatically in the background. In other words, a trigger is required for an action to take place. To run such a process, site owner must create a cron job on the server and schedule the necessary functions to run at specific intervals. This is the only way it can work as you described. Otherwise, the system would have to check these products on every request, which would add extra load. In the future, if we tie emails and similar processes entirely to a cron job, we could also include this type of check.

Our script runs smoothly on any server running PHP 8.1 or higher and MySQL. It also requires the PHP extensions cURL, GD, Fileinfo, Exif, Mbstring, and intl. Therefore, as long as the correct PHP version and required extensions are installed on your server, the script will work without any issues.

you need to correct this Now I can see the issue! The problem is in your .htaccess file. You have Options +FollowSymlinks inside an <IfModule mod_rewrite.c> block, but Apache is processing the Options -Indexes at the top level, which is causing the conflict.

Our script currently uses the original CodeIgniter 4.6 .htaccess code. We have only made a few small additions while trying to maintain the same structure. However, what you mentioned is technically correct. If the current code causes errors on your server, please remove the “Options +FollowSymlinks” line inside the ”<IfModule>” block and edit the top-level Options directive as follows:Options +FollowSymlinks -Indexes
This should make it work correctly.

Currently, the automatic calculation feature that displays a vendor’s earnings from a product does not work as it did in the previous version. Previously, it was calculated as soon as the product price was entered. In this version, however, that section is not visible when adding a new product. It only appears when you edit the product after adding it. This change was intentional, but we may adjust it in a future update.
In the new version, we have introduced a revised commission system that can be applied at the product, vendor, category, or general level, in that order of priority. If no custom commission is set for a product or vendor, but there is one set for the category, then the category commission rate will be applied to that order. The admin can view the commission amounts in the “Earnings” section of the admin panel, and vendors can see them in their wallets for their products.

It seems the seller is losing money. How can the seller know how much they will receive from the sale before publishing the product?
The site shows a 0% commission. If the seller sees the product’s price, they will receive that price, but when selling the product, they will receive less than the price they specified.
In the current version, this feature works by calculating the earnings with PHP after saving the changes and reloading the page. In the next update, we plan to add the dynamic calculation feature again using JavaScript. Additionally, there may be a minor bug related to displaying the commission rate in this section, which we will also fix in the next update.

Yes, you can list properties as classified ads by selecting ’’Ordinary Listing’’ when adding products. In this listing type, there is no ’’Add to Cart’’ button. Instead, a ’’Contact Seller’’ button appears, allowing visitors to contact the seller via chat.
If you add an external link while creating the listing, a ’’Buy Now’’ button will appear instead, redirecting visitors to the external site where the original listing is located. Both the ’’Contact Seller’’ and ’’Buy Now’’ texts can easily be customized.

Please note that you can use both classified ads and marketplace features simultaneously or disable one of them from the ’’Preferences’’ section in the admin panel. For now, there is a “Request a Quote” listing type in the script, which allows customers to ask vendors for a price quote on a product. However, this is not an auction system as it is a direct price negotiation between the customer and the vendor.
