This is strange. If you take a look at the bold-timeline.php file in the root folder of the plugin, you should notice the constant defined on line 29 within init hook.

If you do not see this line, please remove the plugin and install it again. It was either not updated properly from the previous version or the file is corrupted during installation for some reason.

In fact, the site crashes when the ‘uipro’ plug-in https://github.com/templaza/uipro is activated at the same time, causing it to conflict with Bold Timeline
However, this plug-in is necessary for the theme to function, so I cannot deactivate it.

Hello, I am interested in the plugin because I have a history website. I am particularly interested in demo number 6, https://bold-timeline.bold-themes.com/demo-6/, but I see that it does not have a button to read the article or view the entry. Can this be added? Also, can an image be added before opening the drop-down menu? For example, could it be adjusted to look like this: https://ibb.co/1YgCRdrC either with CSS or custom HTML?
Another thing: does it work with WPML, or do you simply have to create another timeline in English?
another thing I installed the free version of Bold Timeline lite on my website and when I activated it it crashed. This means that the plugin is not compatible with my theme? in this case, this https://preview.themeforest.net/item/moderno-fashion-furniture-store-woocommerce-theme/full_screen_preview/45459282 or the full version works differently than the free one, it makes me strange because no plugin that I had installed closes completely collapses the site.

If you intend to have the full content of the item on the screen right away (without expand / collapse feature), then you can set up the layout you are looking for. With expand / collapse the button can be added, but it will be hidden together with the image in the hidden part of the item.
Related to WPML, there are two options (which are basically the same) – you can either set the bold timeline custom post type as translatable and create translation of the timeline or create a completely new one. Either way, you will need to copy the structure of the original one and translate the respective properties of each item.

Another question: I tried inserting embedded code from a Spreaker audio file into the drop-down box content area. In the free version, the preview looked fine, but when I clicked “Save,” the embed code was removed. Does the full version allow embedded code in the “Edit Content” section?

It seems to work but It’s not translatable with WPML I could clone the timeline with a clone plugin and then translate the content and add different shortcodes to different languages but I tried to Yoast Duplicate and it does not show the timeline post type there to enable for duplication…

Just to make sure that we are on the same page here – Timeline can not replace the classic post archive in the sense that you can have dynamically generated timelines and pages for authors, categories, tags etc…
On the other hand, you can certainly create the timeline which will display the posts from specific category AND tag and place it, using shortcode, onto a static page.
You can also create a static page containing the list of categories and tags and link them to other static pages which hold shortcodes of separately created timelines set to display posts from respective category / tag.
Not sure what you mean by can you display posts via the timeline. Please refer to Example 04 – https://documentation.bold-themes.com/bold-timeline/examples/
It illustrates the layout and lists the posts properties you can display within the timeline.

Hello! I’ve just bought your plugin, and I have four questions/issues:
a) When adding a video to a timeline item that is hidden by default, when expanding that item, the video is seen beyond the borders of the frame. How can I solve this issue?
b) When adding both an image and a video to the same timeline item, there is no space between them, which is not very elegant. How do you suggest we could add a space in between media types of the same timeline item?
c) When pasting a Vimeo video code, the end result is that we see two superimposed video controls, the Vimeo ones and the plugin ones. What do you suggest as a solution?
d) As we are creating a timeline with 16 years of activities (and dozens of items on each year), it would be useful that on the default screen only the years would be shown, as the “expand” buttons use a lot of space. For instance, how can we replace that “expand” button with a simple up/down arrow for the expand/collapse functionality?

The color picker will not display correctly on the front end for styling of each timeline item after two timeline items are added. In fact, after a few refreshes it actually worked for once and that was it. Not sure what’s going on…

With premium version you have the possibility to add the button which you can link to the post or to add the post itself (post’s featured image and excerpt with link to the post will be shown automatically when you reference the posts you wish).

The raw content does not execute the shortcodes – it displays the markup, css and javascript as is without the processing.
Try placing the text element with the shortcode within.

I have upgraded to the latest version of your bold timeline and for some reason the Save button in Wordpress is always greyed out, therefore I’m not able to save changes to the timeline.
I am running the following version:
Wordpress 5.9.3 PHP 7.4.29
I have tried this in both Edge and Firefox and the same results are present.
Any help would be really appreciated

Hi,
The issue with the error on dashboard is related to the plugin’s inability to contact the license API and it should not affect the grayed out button issue in any way.
The error visible on dashboard is probably caused by the firewall on your local computer (since you are hosting it locally) or the lack of curl / XML related libraries in your local php / wp installation. For the purposes of development you can freely ignore it. Once you upload the plugin to the production environment, if the plugin worked properly so far there is no reason it shouldn’t continue to work without this error.
Related to grayed out button. The implemented logic is this – until you make some kind of change in your timeline the button is grayed out. As soon as you change something in the timeline the button should become enabled. We have tested the new version of the timeline and on our side this works as intended.
Since you have updated the plugin, please try clearing out the browser cache – it might be that you are pulling the old version of the JS from your browser cache instead of the new one from the plugin causing the issue.

Thank you, clearing the cache did solve the problem, however I now getting the following error on the page that I have the Bold Timeline on.
