I am facing a issue when I am uploading images to media files, its uploading and generating both png and webp or jpg and webp in the s3 bucket – but in the media files the url is not updating to webp it shows jpg or png only.
Kindly help me resolve the problem – where webp url is replaced and that the files are also deleted from local server. When i keep the delete files from server option enabled many at times i have observed it does not generate webp images.
Considering I wish to keep delete files from server enabled and that I upload images, I would like to generate the url with webp images. Kindly help…i been facing this issue since a very long time.
I have left a comment on the older ticket as i could not open a new ticket https://nouthemes.ticksy.com/ticket/3985861I’ve tested it on several other websites, and they all successfully created WebP files, but yours is the only exception. However, don’t worry, I will find the root cause for you.
The Peoblem seems to be with media settings under settings > Media – if i turn off “Organize my uploads into month- and year-based folders” then the plugin is not able to generate webp images – but if the option is enabled – it does generate proper webp images.
Can you check same and help resolve the issue
I have solved the problem for you in version 4.0.5.
Facing new issue – images uploading fine | url updating fine | but in elementor front end its taking wp-content/upload as the url and not loading fine

I’m fixing it but it’s in the testing process, I’ll let you know in about 1-2 days when it’s complete. Note that if you uncheck “Organize my uploads into month- and year-based folders”, it’s easy to duplicate file names, causing incorrect display. You’re our first case of choosing to uncheck the year/month format.
Thanks for the update. Pls on this new update, when you just activated the plugin and inputed the storage credentials, there is no longer a button to save the credentials
Thank you very much, I have updated.
Hello, could you please let me know the specific release date of the version that supports connection with MinIO? Thx
I have successfully integrated minio storage, but in the testing and documentation phase, will update on codecanyon next week, if you want to experience it sooner, you can create a ticket at https://nouthemes.ticksy.com/ and I will send it to you. https://monosnap.com/file/9V61t9u5oBodEil8Z87OxzsOMX9ZQF
Great! I have submitted a ticket, plz check. Many thx for your hard work!
Hi, my server is getting full so I am planning to choose a plugin that uploads files to the cloud. My question is if I can make it only auto load future media to the cloud since I still want to keep my existing files on the server.
Do you have an online doc I can read and make sure how it works?
Thank you!
Also, can I pause its auto loading by deactivating it temporarily, uploading the files I want to keep on the server, then reactivating it? Will it auto upload those files I intended to keep on the server?
Thanks!
Thanks for reaching out! Let me clarify your questions:
1. After installation, by default only newly uploaded files will be offloaded to the cloud. Your existing files on the server will remain there unless you manually trigger a full sync/offload.
2. You don’t need to deactivate the plugin. Leopard includes an option to enable/disable automatic offloading of new uploads. If you uncheck this option, any files you upload will stay on your server only. When you re-enable the option, those files will still remain on the server and will not be automatically offloaded to the cloud.
Thank you so much! Very helpful!
where is bucket access setting? i am using bunny cdn. i dont want to direct access my image with others, in your videos i saw but the plugin i cannot get any option
In the description there is information about Private Bucket – Secure Access, this condition is: only S3 + CloudFront.
Private Bucket – Secure Access (only S3 + CloudFront) Leopard enables seamless access to fully private S3 buckets via CloudFront, using ‘Block all public access’ for maximum security-no public exposure, full performance
https://monosnap.com/file/6H5i4LPegNogr2vyHr3FsRa4nOa2jOHello,
I have a few pre-sale questions:
1. Wasabi Bucket Access: Can the Leopard plugin browse and access files in my Wasabi buckets that were uploaded directly (not through WordPress)?
2. WooCommerce CSV Import: How does your plugin handle downloadable file URL when importing products via CSV, what is the correct format for downloadable file paths, and where is this documented?
3. File Protection: How does the plugin ensure my Wasabi files remain secure and inaccessible to non-purchasers?
Thanks in advance,
- GM
It looks like you are mostly concerned about file handling. Let me clarify:
1. File Management & Sync
- If the product and files already exist on your server: you only need to run the sync in the Media Library and then click “Change all links now”: https://monosnap.com/file/8eI7GUfZh2taqVWnJJElmux3O4xgE6
- If the file does not exist on your server yet: you can upload the file directly to your cloud bucket and then select the file from the cloud (note: this applies only to downloadable files) → https://monosnap.com/file/rSDnHAELuUQ96UWdQgIu77o7EHYSiP
- For images, you can upload them to the bucket via FTP or any external tool. After that, you still need to run the sync. If the system finds a match between the server and the cloud file, it will skip re-uploading and only attach the cloud link. (This feature has already been added, but not yet updated on CodeCanyon.)
2. WooCommerce CSV Import All downloadable files or images will be automatically converted into cloud bucket links. No extra documentation is required since this follows WooCommerce’s default handling of downloadable files.
3. File Protection WooCommerce’s default downloadable system is already secure: files are only accessible after the order is paid. Our plugin integrates with this system, and Wasabi also supports secure file access, so your files are always protected from unauthorized downloads.
Presale question: Is there a free version we can test before upgrading? I am moving from another plugin and would like to be sure it will work in my environment. Also, what is return policy if it fails to work? Thank you!
Currently, we do not offer a free trial version, but we’d be happy to assist you in testing compatibility with your environment. Please share your system details (e.g., WordPress version, active plugins, etc.) with us at admin@nouthemes.com, and we’ll verify whether our product works seamlessly for you.
Regarding the refund policy, since this product is sold through Envato Market, all refund requests are handled according to Envato’s official refund policy
Thanks. The problem is just the things that are not obvious and something “should” work but won’t. I’m gonna buy it and hopefully it will be fine.
PRESALE / Can’t reach you elsewhere, so here it is. We’re on the closte server platform using Imagify and WP Offload as well as LiteSpeed. We’re not too happy with the WP offload Media plugin because it is not working with our current setup and the cap on media. We’re now looking for a new solution. Yours seems to fit, but we have 31 websites in our multisite multidomain setup. These are not client websites but our subsites we use as microsites. You can see one example between creative.kainjoo.com and tech.kainjoo.com. The only deal breaker is the license costs, as we currently want to stay within the budget we had before. Your 300 license extended license seems like a fit. If you agree to give it to our multisite, then we have a deal. And would pay for extended support if you decide to help us migrate from WP Offload (we have asset pull and all the S3 options activated)
Hi Halleg,
Thank you for your interest and for sharing the details about your multisite setup.
If you have any further questions or would like to discuss your requirements in more detail, please contact us directly at admin@nouthemes.com. We will be happy to assist you and provide any information you need.
Looking forward to hearing from you!
Best regards, Nouthemes
Hello, how well does this work with Bunny CDN as of Aug 2025, can we also manager a larger amount of media, over 250,000 files within the built in media manager such as Media Cloud and some others? Thank you …
Leopard is designed to efficiently handle large media libraries, including collections with over 250,000 files, within the built-in media manager. Many of our users successfully manage extensive media libraries without performance issues.
To better assist you, could you let us know if you already have your files stored on Bunny CDN, or are you planning to migrate your media there? This information will help us provide more specific guidance and recommendations for your setup.
We currently manage over 2 million assets @ Bunny stored, and I apologize for the earlier typo, not sure how we did that number incorrectly, while we effectively handle these assets, we are looking for a more efficient way to integrate them within WordPress and WooCommerce.
Our current setup utilizes a direct DNS override at dns.mydomain.com, not offloaded, just cloned, but we want to achieve greater control through a software solution, which Bunny does not currently offer and has no plans to provide in the future at this time.
REF: https://wordpress.org/plugins/bunnycdn/
The best method for offloading assets is through a controlled DNS by Bunny as part of their plugin setup; however, we prefer not to pursue this option as we utilize Cloudflare and have a highly customized setup.
Many offloading solutions we’ve encountered primarily focus on offloading without offering a straightforward way to manage the assets internally. In our direct testing, we have only identified about three solutions that effectively meet our management needs.
- 1. Media Cloud for WordPress > Dated, dev is incognito now for years.
- 2. WP Media Folder Pro > Testing
- 3. Leopard – WordPress Offload Media > Unknown setup and or not tested yet.
If nothing else, we maybe a great test case for you, how do we gain full access to test.
To clarify, Leopard is primarily designed as an offload solution: it helps you move and serve your media files from cloud storage/CDN, but it does not currently provide advanced internal file management features like folders, tagging, or internal organization within the WordPress media library. If you’re looking for a solution to organize and manage files or folders internally, tools like WP Media Folder may be more suitable.
At present, we do not have a public test/demo environment for Leopard, but we’re planning to introduce one in the future. However, many of our current clients are managing very large media libraries (several TB and hundreds of thousands to millions of files) successfully with Leopard in production environments.
If your primary requirement is efficient offloading and serving of large media libraries, Leopard can help. But for advanced media organization and internal management, you may need to combine it with other plugins or solutions.
Hi, we have an elementor form where my customers can upload images. I don’t think these images are registered at WP’s Media Library. Can images be automatically uploaded to cloud storages? Thank you!
Leopard has elementor compatibility support so you can use it with confidence.
when i upload any image from media library to bunny storage its store 4 different size at the bunny cdn why?
The reason you’re seeing 4 different image sizes uploaded to Bunny Storage is because WordPress automatically generates multiple image sizes every time you upload an image to the Media Library. These are usually: thumbnail (e.g. 150×150), medium (e.g. 300×300) medium_large (e.g. 768×0), large (e.g. 1024×1024) And sometimes custom sizes added by themes or plugins.
Hello. Is there a functionality that can return all externally hosted images to the WP local media library?
Is your desire the function
Download all files from bucket to server: Download media files from the cloud storage to your local server.
Yes. For example. The media is offloaded to bucket server. Can I return it back to my local server? Like the featured images for blog posts etc?
Yes, leopard syncs 2 ways, server and cloud.
doesnt it support minio S3?
I’m working on making leopard compatible with S3 compatible cloud object storage (including minio S3). When it’s done I’ll let you know.
Hello, is the plugin already compatible with Backblaze? I see a lot of comments about this possibility.
Thank you.
I’m working on making leopard compatible with S3 compatible cloud object storage (including Backblaze). When it’s done I’ll let you know.
I have purchased , but for me it never worked as I have tons of images. I saw the new 4.0 release and i wanted to give it a try again, but when i use wp-cli, my terminal prompt crashes after 5 minutes. If i use individual actions via media library it works (one by one). is there any log I can view to see why wp-cli is not working?
Please send your problem to email: support@nouthemes.com and provide your wordpress account information, I will check for you.
are Compatible with buddyboss platform and theme
Yes
Hello,
Can I offload from the outside wp upload folder or custom folder name inside it?
Most of the wordpress plugins now have their own media folder so I need to make sure it. Thank you
Currently some major plugins do not use wp_insert_attachment() , media_handle_upload() or media_sideload_image() functions then the new image is outside the media library, Leopard only compatible with major plugins to support customers. These are some exceptions, most plugins work with the media library
So it’s not supported right now? Do you have any solution? I seen a plugin addon for this somewhere though
Please let me know the name of the plugin you want leopard to support.
Thanks
I remember there was a customer who used classified listing pro wordpress with leopard. but tomorrow I will check and confirm with you
Actually, it’s not only that. I want to offload another folder outside wp-content too. So, What I need is a plugin that able to offload custom wordpress path. Is it possible?
in principle it is ok, just integrate leopard with plugin with folder outside wp-content, but currently we only accept these types of requests as custom jobs according to request with separate cost.
Can we integrate a remote SSH server to offload and serve images by adding its domain? I’ve recently found a hosting provider offering a much cheaper storage server. Instead of using services like Wasabi or Google Cloud, I’d like to explore using this remote SSH server for file offloading. Is this possible?
Thanks for your idea! Technically, it’s possible to host and serve images from a remote SSH server if you configure it as a static web server.
However, Leopard requires integration with storage via APIs to handle things like upload, delete, security validation, and syncing.
Unless your SSH server offers an object storage API (like S3-compatible) or you build an API layer on top of it, we cannot integrate it directly.
We recommend using cloud storage solutions that expose public APIs such as AWS S3 or Wasabi, BunnyCDN Storage, DO, R2.
Database tables not initialized. Please initialize them first.
I have updated, please re-download and reinstall
thank you
I have a pre-sale Q, does this plugin support Hetzner Object Storage its S3-compatible?
Hetzner Object Storage is not currently supported.
