Just a question. Why dont you recommend Shared Hosting? What are the reasons?
Shared hosting environments are generally not suitable for WebSocket-based applications. This is because shared servers typically do not allow persistent connections, restrict custom server processes, and impose strict resource limits. WebSocket requires a continuous, bidirectional connection between the client and server, which shared hosting cannot reliably provide.
Arcade is a real-time arcade platform, and many of its core features such as multiplayer gameplay, live leaderboards, chatrooms, and score synchronization depend on an active WebSocket server. To ensure stability and performance, Arcade should be hosted on a VPS or dedicated server where a WebSocket server can run continuously without interruption.
But if i install it on VPS, how it will know the domain name? On shared hosting it does know it
You need to update the DNS records of the domain you will use. We suggest hiring a 3rd party developer to help you if you don’t have idea about VPS.

We currently have a catalog of 500+ games without ads and you can easily add them using the game importer. At the moment, we don’t have plans to include game providers with ads like gamedistribution.

Add an option to set Games playable only on desktop for some flash games that non support mobile.

I just tried the site on my mobile device. I have a suggestion: If you can use simple coding to get the users to “Add to Home Screen” and also hide the url search bar. You could create a more immersive experience for the visitors / members / subscribers.
In other words, make this mobile friendly by providing the “Add to Home Screen” with fullscreen features”
I don’t believe it is difficult to do, as I have done this before with other websites we built.

It will integrate with the Web platform. The reason why we are making an Android app is to provide native support for the ROMS and Flash games on mobile devices. HTML5 games will also be supported.

I see that a VPS or Dedicated server is strongly recommended. How difficult would it be to start on a Shared Hosting package and move to VPS once we reach (i.e.) 100-200 users…?
It’s relatively straightforward since the script uses MySQL as its database.
You can migrate everything easily by transferring the data and updating the .env file with the new database credentials and other server configurations.
We recommend using a VPS because the installer runs as a terminal-based script. Additionally, we have not tested the script on shared hosting, as many shared hosting providers impose limitation particularly with WebSocket support. The script includes a robust real-time system that tracks the number of active players in a game, sends live notifications, and supports the RPG social system. Due to these requirements, shared hosting may not be suitable for running Arcade efficiently.
