Subject: Urgent: Issues with Bookly Staff Cabinet Setup (Block, Shortcode, Settings Tab)

Dear Bookly Support Team,

I am experiencing multiple issues with the Bookly Staff Cabinet add-on and need urgent assistance. I am using Bookly PRO and Staff Cabinet to manage a booking system for a “ACTIVITY Experience” service with 100 vendors, integrated with WC Vendors Pro and WooCommerce. Both Bookly PRO and Staff Cabinet licenses have been verified in Bookly > Settings > License, but the issues persist. Below are the details:

1. Block Editor Issue: – Problem: The “Bookly Staff Cabinet” block is not appearing in the Gutenberg block editor when I try to add it to a page (+ icon > search for Bookly Staff Cabinet). – Expected: A dedicated block for Staff Cabinet should be available as per the documentation. – Steps Tried: Confirmed Staff Cabinet is active, cleared cache, switched to Twenty Twenty-Five theme, disabled other plugins.

2. Shortcode Issue: – Problem: Inserting the `[bookly-staff-cabinet]` shortcode in a page (both block and classic editors) displays nothing on the frontend (/staff-cabinet/). – Expected: The Staff Cabinet login interface should appear for vendors to manage bookings. – Steps Tried: Ensured correct shortcode, logged in as a vendor (user002), cleared cache, tested with default theme, checked for JavaScript errors in browser console.

3. Settings Tab Issue: – Problem: The “Staff Cabinet” tab is not appearing in Bookly > Settings. – Expected: A Staff Cabinet tab for configuring permissions and appearance should be visible. – Steps Tried: Confirmed Bookly PRO and Staff Cabinet are active, licenses verified, reinstalled plugins, checked for plugin conflicts.

Questions: 1. Why is the Staff Cabinet block missing in the block editor, and how can I add it? 2. Why does the `[bookly-staff-cabinet]` shortcode not display anything, and what are the troubleshooting steps? 3. Why is the Staff Cabinet tab missing in Bookly > Settings, despite verified licenses, and how can I enable it?

My studio is a rental photography studio. We have non-member renters that call or email to schedule with us. Sometimes my studio assistant is needed to help with letting the renter in and then locking up behind them. Would the staff cabinet allow me to assign a renter appointment to my assistant? Non-member renters are not added as customers, but rather I put them on the calendar (Bookly pro). I would need to be able to still cancel or reschedule an appointment myself as well as allow my studio assistant to see and modify or cancel their work on the appointment in case they can’t make it so I can have either myself, or another team member help with the renter appointments. Would the Staff Cabinet provide this functionality? Thank you in advance!

You understood correctly. The only thing additional is if an admin/manager of the staff can assign an appointment to a staff member.

Hi Bob.

Yes, an admin has full access to Bookly. And at this time, the creation of services is possible in the backend through admin only. So an admin can create/assign an appointment to a staff member.

SOLVED – not all necessary scripts were loaded.

Shortcodes for staff cabinet forms ([bookly-staff-advanced], [bookly-staff-calendar], ) generate the “Uncaught TypeError: window.booklyStaffAdvanced is not a function at bookly-staff-advanced/:62:16 at HTMLDocument.init (bookly-staff-advanced/:36:24)” error on a front page.

Hello, question: when staff reprogram an appointment , for instance, adding more hours or increasing the amount, what happen to the payment? how does admin knows

The payment has to be edited manually and paid offline, for example, when the customers arrive for their appointment. When creating, editing, or deleting an appointment via the Bookly admin panel, the staff members should remember to tick the box for ‘Send notifications’, so the admin can receive the email notification with new details.

Can staff create customers when booking. Not user accounts. Just add the customer email and name etc when creating a appointment on frontend.

What is meant by this question from this user (flyte13) You mentioned this is not possible. Does this mean different staff can see what appointments other staff have? __ Hello, Can we create a user associated with a location (e.g. New York), and he will only have the form data with this location?

The aim is for each restaurant in each city to have access to their own back office, and not to be able to see other restaurants’ data.

This question was related to the Location (Add-on). If you use Staff Cabinet (Add-on), the staff members cannot see what appointments other staff have, they will see only their appointments.

Hi! I just purchased this addon. When I insert the Staff Calendar shortcut, the page shows an empty calendar, it doesn’t reflect the actual appointments made by “clients”. All the appointments made by the clients can be seen in the backend calendar though…

I have bookly pro, and look into the possibility to make it more central in staff planning.

Is there a way to have multiple staff in one login? As a supervisor it is nice for planning. Example; BusinessLocA has 4 staff. A way to veiw all 4 staff calendar with the same login?

Have them registered with the same e-mail or something? Would make life easier. example. supervisor.locA@locA.com and then veiw all pending bookings for the 4 staff members in one calendar.

The block related to the profile of the staff allows to hide “Visibility”. But it doesn’t allow hide other parts such as Payment method, category and location.

The visibility field “disables” temporarily the staff member without deleting him, so the staff member will no longer be available for booking on the front-end. Payment methods, category and locations related to the staff member can be edited in the staff cabinet, though there’s no option now to set these fields to be “invisible”. Hey, We are looking for staff-cabinet calendar as read only. But when we tried to implement read-only=”true” attribute to make calendar readonly is not working.

1) Make staff-calendar readonly to staff or 2) Disable Edit button for staff for scheduled meeting.

hello I have the plugin installed in a multisite network. when I enter the staff cabinet and try to update some data I get a response “Bookly: You do not have sufficient permissions to access this page.” Even if I increase the permissions to the user, I still have that answer

Hi, I can´t figure out how you can see all appointments from the whole staff in the front end calendar. Shouldn´t the pages Administrator (when logged in) see the whole staff with all appointments? Thanx for help in advance

yes, exactly what I am saying, I can´t see other staff appointments, neither as administrator (only appointments I created as administrator) nor as bookly administrator – I thought it could be a conflict with the role manager plugin but I deactivated it – still not working
