step 1) Target your app to Android SDK 14 (API level 34) or newer. step 2) Publish a new version of the app to production. Before that, you can run internal, closed or open tests on your app.
I believe that when compiling the app in Android Studio we must configure the requested version (API level 34) within Android Studio, then compile the respective APK and then follow the steps above for production.

Do I change the icons for the pwa by going into the icons folders in the pwa sub domain and change the pics there? And which ones do I change the pwa ? Or is all of them for the pwa?

I did it. I create a source png that is 1024px by 1024px. And use this command, icongenie generate -m pwa -i and the directory path to the file
