Hi, I undertand that this VPN service can be run as a business to sale VPN services to customers. is that correct? I am not sure if the app in itself is able to create the payments gateways, Authentication Server, the VPN Servers, and connect one each other. In case of these app doesn’t fit this features….are we available to do it and how much it will cost? Tks

There are many kinds of webservers, and the one you’re using might be configured a bit differently. I mostly tested and stored the .ovpn files on cPanel and DirectAdmin shared hosts, since their webserver configs are very standardized across hosting providers. You might want to double-check your file permissions, directory paths, the .htaccess file, and make sure direct access to the files is allowed.

thank you i got it to pull from the webpage using DA, I’ve ran into another little road block. when trying to connect to the openvpn config it instantly disconnections, do you know what could be causing that?

Your .ovpn configuration file may have some issues. I recommend you download and compare my .ovpn config files with the ones you are trying to use. Especially, remove lines that is trying to connect to a FQDN, and only connect to an IP address.

Ok understood. The issue I have is the windows works perfectly but when building the Mac version when I run the application is constantly asks for the admin password when I click connect, doesn’t appear to connect and asks for the admin password again when I click connect. Any ideas? Thanks

Auto start at system startup is an Electron feature, you should be able to find the code on Google and add it to the app yourself. Auto-connect is harder to add, possible, but currently not implemented.

Yes! That is the primary purpose of this app. However, the app in itself is not enough, you also need a Billing System, Authentication Server, the VPN Servers, Plugins, Modules, Scripts, and how to link them all together with the VPN app.

Updating the OpenVPN version of the app is very simple. You just swap out the binary in the source code. You download the latest version from OpenVPN website and then paste it into the source code where the old binary is.

1. Any future plans to update the app sometime this year?
2. If a server/location/.ovpn file is removed from the remote server where server settings are kept, does that also remove it from the App so the location is no longer usable etc?
3. Do you have a place report bugs/issues etc?
4. Can the app be updated remotely or are users required to download a new version (when available) and install ontop manually?
5. Is there a limit of how many servers/locations can be displayed within the App? For example is it safe to have 3 profiles/settings per location supporting different ports?

2. Yes, if you remove the .ovpn file from the web server, it will also be automatically removed from the server list in the app for all users.

4. Unfortunately, there is no auto-update as of yet, due to the complexity of one source code supporting 3 operating systems and multiple architectures.

While that is true. The fact is reskinning the app is super easy and does not require you to understand how it works at all. You only have to modify the HTML and CSS files to make modifications to how the app looks.
Specifically, you have to modify the classic/dawn/dusk.html files in the app folder (depending which one you want to use as a baseline). And the CSS files in the app/css folder. You may add additional images in the app/images folder.
Do keep in mind, that if I made a new skin for you I would most likely want to add it as a skin for everyone.

Tech-savvy people can just setup their own VPN servers without paying for a VPN service.

Yes, it’s possible to do your first request, but it’s not part of the Codecanyon purchase itself. I offer additional documentation that you can purchase that walks you through how to setup a system just like that. Your users could register on your website and pay for a VPN package, then a username/password is generated for them. Then they can connect via the Desktop app.
I’m not offering Android/iOS apps, but maybe there are other vendors on Codecanyon who do. My Desktop app doesn’t exclude the option to also use a Mobile app if you can get source code for it.

There are a few screenshots in the preview that are not present in the build. The screen where “Virtual IP” and “Connection Duration” are side by side in the middle, under which the country & city are displayed, is missing. While I added my custom .ovpn server and I successfully connected to it, only the “Disconnect” red button shows. The location is not shown at all on the main screen for this custom server.

You need to change the version from 2.0 to whatever you desire. It can be 1.0.0 or 2.0.0 or whatever you prefer.
I assure you the screenshots were taken from the app that you purchased, Codecanyon wouldn’t have accepted them otherwise. The location is not shown if you add a custom server in the app itself because it’s not possible for the app to know the server location. The server location shows if you add your .ovpn files to a webserver and named them properly as outlined in the documentation.

1, You might have to submit it to the MacOS store for the key to propagate, but Apple is changing this stuff so rapidly even I’m not sure.
2. You need to generate another installer, the compilation process should generate both versions automatically, so 6 .dmg files in total.
