Hello, you can directly add your data to the “location_cities” table via phpMyAdmin if you will add data for cities. Since the city records are already in the database, an additional CSV option will not be added for this.

We developed using the PHP CodeIgniter 4 framework, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS (Bootstrap).
1. Yes, you can use your site as both a marketplace and a classified ads site simultaneously. You can manage these settings in the “Preferences” section of the admin panel.
2. These are different types of listings, and you can utilize them depending on the situation. Currently, we do not have any plans to make changes to them.
3. You can create separate categories for cars, real estate, and services to add products to their respective categories. Subsequently, you can create custom fields for each category. For instance, you can create custom fields such as make, model, year, and mileage for the “Cars” category. When you do this, these custom fields related to cars will only be visible when you add a product to the “Cars” category.
If you add your products as ordinary listings (without buy option) and do not enter an external link, a “Contact Seller” button will appear instead of the “Add to Cart” and “Buy Now” buttons. When customers click on the “Contact Seller” button and send a message to the vendor, they will continue their conversation in the new chat feature we integrated in our latest update. Perhaps vendors and customers can reach an agreement in this chat process and complete their transaction off-site, between themselves.
If you choose the “Add a Product to Receive Quote (Price) Requests” as the listing type, there will be a “Request a Quote” button. Customers can select the product amount and variations to request a price. Vendors will view the chosen products and offer a price. If the customer accepts this price, they can add the previously chosen products to the cart and proceed to checkout with the accepted price. You can utilize these listing types depending on the situation.
4. Besides the reasons mentioned earlier, there are also difficulties with this feature when a buyer attempts to purchase products from different sellers in the same cart. Therefore, we are not considering adding this feature. Unfortunately, we do not accept custom edit requests because we are dedicating all our time to working on new updates and further improving our scripts. Our code is open source, and you can collaborate with a developer to make some changes to the script. However, custom edits are not covered by item support, and we cannot assist you in this custom editing process.
5. We currently do not have a clear plan for these features. We will consider them in the future.
6. The Modesy script currently has four separate revenue models: commission income, featured product income, advertising income, and membership plans income. We believe these are sufficient for now and do not plan to add any additional options.

Additionally, loading external resources such as ads can decrease your site speed. The Modesy script has an image optimization system, and you can also choose WebP as the image file format to increase your site speed.
As you can see from our answers, some features are not available, and we cannot make any promises for future updates. We generally prioritize the most requested features and we plan to work on a referral system and export option in the next update. You can choose to make some changes to the site by collaborating with a developer. However, we cannot assist you in this process. Also, please keep in mind that, updating your site when we release a major update will delete your custom edits.

We can explain these features briefly and you can also check the related sections from our demo site.
You can enable the comission feature from the ’’Settings/Payment Settings’’ section of the admin panel and designate a comission percentage. With this, commission will be deducted from each sale and the remaining money will be reflected in the sellers’ balances.
There is a ’’Membership Plans’’ section in the admin panel and you can enable the membership system from here. Once you enable the membership plans feature, vendors will need to purchase a membership plan to open their shops. You can create different membership plans with different features and prices. You can also create a free membership plan for your first time vendors. However, every vendor can use the free plan only once. After this free plan expires, they cannot renew the free plan and they would need to purchase another plan. You can check our demo site to see the options and the examples.
If you enable the ’’Featured Products System’’ from the ’’Preferences/Products’’ section of the admin panel, there will be a ’’+Promote’’ button when viewing products in the vendor dashboard. Vendors can click on the ’’Promote’’ button, select a daily or monthly plan and continue to checkout to pay the promotion cost. Admin can designate the promotion pricing, view the transactions and the promoted products from the ’’Featured Products’’ section of the admin panel.
There are also several ad spaces on the site. You can see and manage them from the ’’Ad Spaces’’ section of the admin panel. You can make deals with your vendors to exhibit the banners of their shops in these ad spaces. Payment matters can be dealt with amongst yourselves.
You can take a look at the ’’Settings/Payment Settings’’ section of the admin panel to see the available payment gateways. After each sale, admin will receive all payments. After deducting a commission from each sale, the remaining money will be reflected in the respective vendor’s balance. Vendors can send a payout request by selecting the withdrawal amount and the method. There are PayPal, cryptocurrency, IBAN and SWIFT payout methods. After receiving this payout request, admin will send the money to the vendor’s account and select ’’Completed’’ to complete the payout process. After a payout request is completed, the payout amount will be deducted from the vendor’s balance.You can view these in the ’’Payout’’ sections of the admin and vendor panels.
You can create membership plans on your site and your sellers would have to purchase a membership plan to open their shops. However you cannot create membership plans exclusive to some categories. These are general membership plans for all your vendors. You can take a look at our demo site to see the example membership plans we have created. For example, a basic membership plan with limited features or a professional membership plan with more extensive features.
There is no difference between sellers. All sellers are the same.

1. If you are asking whether you can add these kinds of different products, Modesy has some features that might allow you to do so. Please take a look at our demo site and view the product adding process to see if the current features are good enough for you. Modesy also has the custom fields and variations features. With the custom fields feature, you can create new information input sections in the product adding process and display this information on the product details page. And with the variations feature, you can add different variations of a product in a listing. If we have misunderstood your question, please explain further.
2. Modesy script already has a promotion feature. Vendors can choose the number of days or months to promote their products on the site and pay the promotion fee to the site. If you are asking about a reference system, this feature is currently not available, and we plan to add it in the next update. Unfortunately, we cannot provide an estimated release date for the update because any given date can easily change depending on the progress of the update.
3. Unfortunately, you cannot do this. All money must be sent to the site’s payment account. Allowing vendors to receive their money directly will likely lead to a lot of fraud on your site, which would be impossible to control. You can only add this feature by editing the code. However, we do not support custom edits and cannot assist you in this custom editing process. You might consider collaborating with a developer if you want to implement such a feature. As a side note, updating your site when we release a major update will delete the custom edits.

1. Once you enable the vendor verification system, the admin will have the option to approve or decline shop opening requests. There is a “Shop Opening Requests” section in the admin panel for this purpose. You can use this feature to filter vendors. Vendors will need to enter their shop description, location, etc., when filling out a shop opening form. You can ask them to explain what kind of products they want to sell on your site by changing the translation of the “Shop Description” text. Additionally, you can request documents from vendors during this shop opening process. You can review this setting in the “Preferences/Shop” section of the admin panel. Furthermore, you can filter the uploaded products by using the “Approve Products Before Publishing” setting in the “Preferences/Products” section of the admin panel.
2. If you enable the “Vendor Verification” system, vendor candidates will have to enter their country. After selecting a country, there will be a new tab to select a state. While selecting a country is mandatory to submit the shop opening request, choosing a state is optional.
3. There is no automatic renewal feature for membership plans. You can visit our demo site and explore the “Membership Plans” section of the admin panel to understand the membership plan creation process. After choosing a membership plan and opening their shops, vendors will be able to view their membership plan status. You can also access this section on our demo site. If a membership plan expires and the seller does not update it within 3 days, their products will be moved to the “Products/Expired Products” section of the admin panel and will not be displayed on the site. The products will automatically reappear once the seller renews the membership plan.
4. In the “Location” section of the admin panel, you can activate or deactivate locations. When you deactivate some locations from this section, vendors won’t be able to choose them as the product location when adding products. Additionally, there is a “Search by Location” feature that you can enable in the “Preferences/General” section of the admin panel. Once activated, a “Location” section will appear in the top menu of your site, allowing visitors to select a location and view products only in that area. Inactivated locations will not appear in this location selection section.
5. Unfortunately, this feature is not currently available. We also cannot make any promises regarding future updates because we usually prioritize the most requested features. For example, in the next update, we plan to work on a referral system and export option for orders and products, as these are the most requested features.
6. Both sellers and buyers receive emails when a sale occurs. After receiving the payment and shipping the order, the seller will change the order status to “Shipped”. When the seller selects this option, a new window will appear for the seller to add the shipping tracking URL and code. This information will be sent to the buyer via email.

Admin can also define multiple taxes for all sales on their site using the global taxes feature in the admin panel. Only product cost + VAT + shipping will be added to the vendor’s balance after a sale.
9. Yes, you can create a text input section on the product page by creating a variation when adding a product. Buyers will need to enter text to add the product to the cart. Following your example, if a customer enters “Smith” into the text input section and proceeds to the cart, this “Smith” text will be visible with the product name, like “Laser-engraved Cutting Board (Please Enter the Text You Want: Smith)”.
10. You can visit our demo site to see how the product viewing works. When you hover your mouse over a product, a second product image will be shown. However, to see further details, buyers need to visit the product page.
11. There are sorting options such as highest rating, lowest price, etc. However, if a buyer doesn’t choose these options to sort products, the default is to display featured products first. The default sorting option is “Most Recent”, which applies when searching for products as well. You can test this by searching for “women” and choosing the clothing category to see how the default sorting option and featured products work.
12. Considering that the Modesy script has many features, creating a mobile app might be challenging. However, the feasibility depends on your developer, and we cannot definitively say whether it would be feasible or not.

1. Yes, vendors can change their membership plans. However, they cannot downgrade their membership plan if the number of products they have uploaded exceeds the limit of the desired membership plan. For example, if the current membership plan allows for 100 products to be uploaded and the vendor has already uploaded 100 products, they would need to delete 50 of their products first in order to choose a cheaper membership plan with a 50-product limit. There are no issues with choosing a better membership plan.

I’m wondering if ME (as the admin of the website) can create accounts and assign a membership plan to it?
To describe this in more detail, I am wondering if I can click like a (CREATE ACCOUNT) button or something similar and create a vendor account from scratch and apply a package plan to that account.
— The reason for this is I want to pre-sell some lifetime membership plans to vendors before I start up the website and get everything going.
This is the reason I would like to be able to create a vendor account from the admin area if possible.

Yes, you can do this. If you take a look at the ’’Users’’ section of the admin panel in our demo site, you can see the ’’+Add User’’ option. From here, you can create a new user account and choose a role for it. After creating a vendor account from this section, you can return to the ’’Users’’ list to view the new account you have created. You can click on the ’’Select an Option/Assign Membership Plan’’ to assign a membership plan to that account. If you have created a lifetime membership plan before, you can choose this plan for the newly created account.

what’s causing the website to freeze up when i’m making update, for eg, i register a shop and it keeps freezing, sometimes i have to reboot the server?
If your server does not respond sometimes, you may see such an issue. You can contact your server provider for this. There is no such problem in our codes. To prove this, you can test the script on another server or your localhost. You can also compare it with our demo: https://modesy.codingest.com/

I want to ask though if the brands can be attached per category. So if you have clothes and electronics, let’s say, in your store, to have the Adidas brand in electronics doesn’t seem to make sense. Are there any plans to implement listing view of the listings on filter page instead of grid? Also is it possible to change the number of the products per row, lets say, from 4 that’s currently to 2?
As i saw in the demo admin panel the main menu of the categories is auto populated from the categories created. Is it possible to edit that menu and add different kind of things like info pages that are more “visible” for the customer/viewer?
I’m asking all those things because your script is the best i could found considering the clean code, function, speed and sophistication/professionalism from your side but the thing is, that is mostly designed from multi-vendor shops and those things are very useful for classified ads website.
Lastly, i can understand that providing an ETA creates a lot of frustration to both your side and the customers of yours but to have an idea how long it will take to release the next update (1 month, 3 months, 6 months etc) since i purchase your product and start working on CI code and in 1 month you release the update with alot of changes it will take also a lot of time to our side and find out all the files that have to be changed again.

No, the main menu is only for the categories. You can add your pages to the top menu or footer menu.
Thanks! Glad to hear this. Our script is developed for both multi and single-vendor. You can disable the multi-vendor feature if you will not use it.
Unfortunately, we cannot give an estimated date for updates because this date can change constantly. But if you want to edit the codes, you need to start to make your own edits and continue to develop it by yourself without updating it again. If you edit the codes, your edits will be deleted if you update your site. We update CodeIgniter version and core files when we upload a major update and you have to update all your files to update your site.

So, we give priority to whichever feature is most requested. Accordingly, the most requested features recently are a referral system and export options for products. That’s why we decided to work on these features in the next update.
