Hello,

My language works better with Microsoft Azure, but Talker doesn’t seem to support multilingual websites like Speaker does (https://merkulove.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/360007546037-Does-Speaker-work-with-Multilingual-site).

Some minor features, such as the Audio File Name option, are also missing in Talker, and the player’s design is not as refined as Speaker’s.

Why is Talker so much simpler than Speaker? Shouldn’t Talker and Speaker only differ in their speech synthesis engines, with all other features being the same?

I’m using TranslatePress and urgently need Talker to support multilingual websites!

Sincerely,

Hello! Microsoft Azure provides multilingual voices. This means that if you select one of the available multilingual voices (for example, for English) https://take.ms/clPDd, it will be able to correctly synthesize text in other languages as well. This approach effectively addresses the requirements of multilingual websites.

Hello, Yes, this is indeed a compromise, but the multilingual voices don’t sound as good as a single voice. What I want is something like Speaker, where I can set a separate voice for each website. This functionality is already implemented in Speaker, so porting it to Talker should be quite easy, right? After all, the plugins for these four different voice engines look very similar. Sincerely!

We will review the potential and necessity of adding a multilingual feature to the Talker plugin in future updates, but we cannot commit to any specific timeframe at this moment.

Halo, is your plugin up-to-date/functional or is there an issue with your server? The preview/demo page displays an error message, “There has been a critical error on this website.”

If it’s working correctly I would like to purchase. Thx :)

Hello! Thanks for letting us know. It was a temporary issue on the demo. The Talker plugin works correctly and is constantly supported.

Pre-sale question. Does this plugin can convert text to speech in Child and Cartoon voice with emotions, and do we need to pay for the API on top?

Hello! Please find the list of all available languages and voices on the Microsoft website https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/ai-services/speech-service/language-support?tabs=tts

You can start using the Microsoft Azure API for free but further use will require payment according to the prices https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/pricing/details/cognitive-services/speech-services/

Hello… I understand that I get deducted from the free monthly fee for each text generated. Then, that generated text can be listened to by page visitors infinitely without any charge (or discount) from the free monthly fee (5 hours per month).

In case I do NOT generate new content, nothing will be discounted from the monthly fee, until I generate new content… Is it like this…?

For example, if I have a home (landingpage) with little content, whose text has a global duration of 1 hour, approximately, and that content does not change, the free fee is more than enough to generate that hour of text, and get rid of the fear of exceeding the free fee? Is that so…? Thank you very much in advance for the answer. Greetings…

Hello! The Microsoft Azure API used in the Talker charges only for text generation. Users can listen to the generated text on your site an unlimited number of times without any payment. If you have a short content, a free quota should be enough for you Besides, in your Azure account, you can configure the maximum amount that you want to use for the Text-to-Speech service.

Hi there. When will the next plugin update with new features and improvements be released? Thanks

Hello! We plan to release a new update during a few weeks.

Thank you, we’re waiting for the next updates to the plugin.

Hi,

1. What are the differences between your Text to Speech plugins:

a. Voicer b. Speaker c. Talker

2. Which one has the most natural voices for Dutch language? 3. Are the voices editable? (Pause, emphasize, pronounce correction…) 4. Where can I hear examples of Dutch voices for Talker? 5. Are the plugins lower the website speed?

Thanks!

Oh, I already know that Talker is for Microsoft Azure… I already heard the voices. I only want to know if your voice-plugins are slowing down the website. ;-)

Hello! Yes, you are right, the Talker is based on Microsoft Azure while the Voicer and Speaker are on Google Cloud. The difference between the Voicer and Speaker is that Voicer reads only the selected text, and the Speaker(like the Talker) reads the entire page text.

Our Text to Speech plugins have minimal impact on site loading speed.

I setup the Azure Storage but when I click create in the article and error message pops up and say “Audio not save in microsoft azure storage. Plead assist

Hello! Please carefully follow all the steps https://docs.merkulov.design/how-to-get-microsoft-azure-storag-key/ Make sure that you have changed the access level for your container and entered the keys correctly into the Talker settings.

Otherwise, contact us via help@merkulov.design and provide your site access details to consider the issue.

I followed everything – I just emailed you.

Thanks, replied to you

Hi i have some questions:

Is it possible that audio file will be generated on a user demand? For example user visits a website click. on a play and only then post audio file is generated.

If that’s not possible, maybe it’s possible to simply use a shorcode on a post which plugin should read for example

this[/shortocode] <- something like that

I would like to save space on the server and not send a request to Azure when it is not needed.

I think you misunderstood what I meant. I want to create an audio file on post only when a visitor will click on play button. I don’t want to generate it myself. I want visitor to click on play button and then plugin will create that audio file and play it for the user. Right now I need to create and audio file for each post which will cost me a fortune. Instead I want to create an audio file only when a visitor actually want to listen to that post. I hope now it’s clear. Ideal would be to actually don’t even create an audio. Microsoft azure actually include the voice I need so it’s the only option.

I understand there is currently no option to do that but I’m willing to pay for it to solve my problem.

Yes, this feature is not provided but can be considered as custom service. Please contact us via help@merkulov.design for details.

hi,does it support Thai language?

Hello! Yes, the Thai language is available in the Talker plugin. You can find the list of all available voices on the Microsoft website https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/ai-services/speech-service/language-support?tabs=tts

hello, does it support Persian language?

Hello! Persian (Iran) is included. You can find the list of all available languages and voices on the Microsoft website https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/cognitive-services/speech-service/language-support?tabs=tts

Hi.

Great item, I really liked the demo. For my taste, Microsoft has a very synthetic voice, worse than Google.

This is really a new word in science and technology.

Good luck with the sales.

Hello! Thank you :) Now users will be able to select a TTS plugin to their own taste in our portfolio

hello, what is the difference with : Speaker – Page to Speech Plugin for WordPress ?

Yes, it is possible. We tested Speaker with Talker and they work correctly together.

is it possible to have the 2 options on only 1 plugin ?

Because on Speaker I have Css customization and it will be duplicated with 2 plugins

Speaker CSS customization should not affect Talker as they have different selectors
