custom tabs automatically extend the standard Prestashop tabs.
you can not use a shortcode in order to add them in a different position.
if you need to change the location of the tabs, you should change the product template file of your theme.

the module adds the custom tabs to the standard Prestashop hooks and usually themes display the tabs in a variety of styles!
So, generally, yes, the module supports all style of tabs!

I have a use case as follows. For any ONE product, I might create a demo video. I want that on a “Video Demo” tab. That will ALWAYS be the ONLY PRODUCT that has that tab. Of course others will also have a Video Demo Tab (although most will not, only small numbers do), but the content will always be different.
So I need to be able to set a Tab INDIVIDUALLY PER PRODUCT, on the PRODUCT EDIT>> MODULES tab. A central configuration section for doing global tabs, or by category etc. (like you have) is a good thing, but if it’s the ONLY WAY to create tabs, that’s unacceptable. It won;t work for me. Both is fine. In fact, if you have global or category etc. tabs that impact a given [product, on ththat products PRODUCT EDIT>> MODULES tab, it should also LIST all tabs this product has, including those set from the other global config area that impact this product, and it should be able to OVER-RIDE that setting (so turn it OFF for this product).
And to be clear, I want it specifically on the PRODUCT EDIT>> MODULES tab. Even if you could create a tab for an individual product(s) on a main module config area, that would quickly become MESSY, and is INCONVENIENT (because if you are editing a product, you want to DO IT THERE, not jump to an entirely different configuration area) and is also unacceptable. On the other hand, I suppose it might be useful (but is not required) if the list there could also show tabs created individually on the PRODUCT EDIT>> MODULES tab.

sorry, but all tabs are created through the configuration of the module!
through the product edit screen you can customise the content for the tab for the product, but you can not create custom tabs through the product edit page!

Hello. Is the modukle compatible with 1.7.8 ?. We have a module to handle reviews on such version and a special theme. Will it work or it will cover the default tabs templeate. More important is to inlcude reviews on one of those tabs on 1.7.8 whcih is nit displayed as before. Thx.

the module is compatible with your Prestashop version!
It will add tabs to the standard tabs of your theme!
It will not affect your reviews module, but it will not help it either! Their functionality is separate! The display of your reviews module, is defined by the reviews module itself! If you need to change the display of your reviews, you need to to it through the reviews module!

Hi, I have an issue with your module. When I create a new store in to a multistore installation, and copy all the product info, the module doesn’t import the tabs content to the new shop, so I have I huge problem with that because there are a lot of stores and a lot of products to insert manually the information. in multi-shop Prestashop mode, each tab belongs to one shop!
This is why you need to create from scratch the tabs for you new shop!
At the moment, you can not duplicate the tabs from one shop to another!
You are the first one to request duplication of tabs for another shop context, so I will add it in the future features, but I can not promise something specific, as nobody else has requested it!

well, sure you can do it through the database… but be careful, and keep a back up!
You will need to locate the 6 tables of the module. They all use the customproducttabs prefix after the standard prestashop prefix.
You need to duplicate all the entries for each new shop and change the shop id field in the tables that it is available!

Hi, I just installed this module in my site and create a custom tab to be displayed for all products. But when, as a seller account, I am trying to add any product, there is no where where I can add the info for the tab.

Well, if you added the tab correctly (the tab is active for current manufacturer and category), then you should be able to add info through the modules sections of the product add-edit screen.

Hello, 1) I have created a tab, but i can not find the tab in the product. I have prestashop 1.7. I checked your documentation but i can’t see. Also i have a Category with s a subcategory, but in your tab, i can only see the main category no the subcategory i have. In Prestashop 1.7, when you are in the product edit screen, you should go to modules and then choose Custom Product Tabs!
If you can not see the module there, please send me your admin credentials, so I can check it up!
Regarding, the display in frontend: In Prestashop 1.7, the tabs are displayed in the classic “tabs” style in the default theme.. In custom themes, all tabs are displayed according to the theme. That is why you do not see the configuration!

Yes i already went to Product module tab on product before to contact here, and i selected Custom Product Tabs but i can only see a text: Custom Product Tabs is a plugin for adding extra custom product tabs in your shop products. You have forgotten to configure the tab to be displayable for all manufacturers!
This was the reason the tab was not displaying in the backend and in the frontend!

I have a pre-purchase question. I have 4k products (and more to come), each of them have 1,2 or 3 needed extratabs (with custom text for each). Your plugin can work for me ? (i already get another extratabs for product and with so much product it take +40sec to open a page).

The number of products makes no difference for the module, so you should have no issues!
