Yes you can. The Accountant manages each company as a seperate database so you can manage as many companies as u want.

The application does not support SAAS. so you have to manage it using user roles and permissions. You have to buy a seperate licence for each instance you setup.

You can use one standard license as one instance(install in one company/office) for yourself or for your client. The good news is, you can manage as many companies as you with in this single instance. IF you are intended to manage multiple instances (you want to install in another office/company) you may need another license for the new instance.

Each device will have its seperate base datasbase and company databases. So you cannot link multiple devices to the same database. Please read the documentation for how to use information. preview.otsglobal.org/accountant/documentation
I need to access the configuration file. I need to change the base url. I entered http instead of https. So, I was getting the system prompt “The information you’re about to submit is not secure”. When I click “send anyway”, it loops back to login!

I have purchased the source code and installed it successfully, then i have created a new company and given all the database details as well. initially it was not saving in the database completely then i have changed the database size and it got saved. and while i was trying to activate the company its showing the database cannot connect to the database. we required immediate assistance with this

I have created a new company under companies, entered the MySQL details and it seems to be added. However when I tried to activate the account in dashboard.
A warning prompt shows saying
“Cound not connect to database Please check your database settings”
Checked the database in phpmyadmin and saw that it was created correctly but the database, user and some info are clipped.
For example my actual database name is:
tj6p2xtyuvdwxf1_acct8s98a8ptks3
But it was only entered as:
tj6p2xtyuvd
And in /admin/accounts it showed the same clipped names.
Please advice how can I fix this?

hi , wonder how to remove an Account , o removed the database manually but i still can see it under accounts list however it’s not accessible – how to remove it from the accounts list.

The Accountant – General Ledger is a double entry accounting system. It can manage you Chart of account. But other Tally features like Invoicing, etc. are not available in The Accountant.

I have accountant installed with Version 5.1.1 how to update to latest version? 6.0
Download the latest version and install it according to the steps explained in the documentation -> https://preview.otsglobal.org/accountant/documentation/#quick_start_guide. After installation is complete just import the existing account config by clicking on the Import Account config button on manage companies page. If you have any further inquires feel free to comment below.

No it can’t be done! This is not recommended as well. because it is based on Chart of Account and you have to select debit and credit account for chart of account make an entry in Ledger.

Yes an accountant who is responsible to make entries in an accounting system, always have to create vouchers and update into system. hardworking job…:-)
does this solution have a sql table for bank transactions ? supporting both credit and debits ?
Just need to create a ledger account in chart of account and you can enter bank transactions in that account.
