Yes, in a folder it works without problems. Preferably we always ask that the script work in the root domain.

For server requirement is it mandate Can i use Plesk for custom domain ? and do the customer domain need to be point to my DNS ?
We recommend a server with cPanel. Plesk has almost always given us headaches.
