Maybe it works on your Mac, but it definitely doesnt work on Windows. First. There is no gradle folder in the android folder with distributionURL. Running yarn install and yarn android returns: org.gradle.wrapper.GradleWrapperMain Caused by: java.lang.ClassNotFoundException
Regardless of what you say this project is incomplete. There is no gradle distribution specified and you haven’t mentioned anywhere which version should be used. When attempted with newer one it fails due to maven plugin missing. It is the case because it was deprecated in recent gradle versions. So it should be 6.8 or lower. 6.8 gived various resolution errors.
Second, even we ignore that and open it directly in Android Studio it gives the following error: A problem occurred configuring project ’:react-native-reanimated’. > com.android.builder.errors.EvalIssueException: compileSdkVersion is not specified. Please add it to build.gradle
Which by the way comes from inside the node_modules folder which is definitely not good.
Oh an everything else aside. Even if we presume there is a magical setup that will make this app working:
Google Play requires that apps target API level 31 or higher.
Yours is configured with API level 30. Which will never publish on Google Play.
And if even that is not enough. Maven is deprecated and removed in latest gradle, so this project will never run in Android Studio.
So please, listen to the other comments above and provide help how to run it successfully.

Hi, There are a couple of issues raised by you. And seems like these issues are causing hindrance in setting up your project.
1- GradleWrapperMain not found : yes a couple of files are excluded from the project in order to reduce the size. You can use any gradle wrapper version before 7. The recommended version is 6.7.1.
2- Few libraries are dependent on some other libraries. So once you opted for a newer version of gradle, it conflicts with the existing reanimated version installed. So once you use the recommended version of gradle in the first step, this issue will be resolved.
3: Yes google recently updated their Google play requirements. And these updates were already planned biannually. In the next quarter all new apps should have at least API level 33. To cope up with this it is already added in our next schedule. We’ll update the API level in our next update. You can surely wait for that exciting update. There are a couple of articles available on the web to update the API level, and it requires very minimal effort. Can you update the app so that it’s compatible with the latest tools? Honestly If I knew I had to use legacy versions and hacks to get it working, I wouldn’t have bought it.
In addition to that, I tried literally all of the answers on this link and elsewhere online and nothing seems to solve it. It really could be that these hacks have reached its end of life. Let me know if you have any suggestions.

Hi, I managed to get everything working after hours of trial and error. I ended up running `npm install npm-check-updates—legacy-peer-deps && ncu -u` BEFORE running pod install to update all the plugins in the package json. And then I ran the `pod install` for iOS. Had to update the minimum iOS target version value in some files and in XCode. And make some minor changes to the AppDelegate.mm. Got it to load. Going to try with the Android next.
The prevailing issue I’m having is issues with the headers and the buttons. The buttons don’t seem to go full width and the headers seem to be the full height of the screen. If you are aware of this issue, and know how to fix it, please let us know.

The issues you are facing, are due to changing the existing dependencies comes with the package.
There are multiple reasons for locking the project dependencies. Codecanyon mentions it in guidelines and wont approve the projects. And above all it makes the codebase stable.
So it is not advisable to change the dependencies mentioned in package.json.

Does not run for me. Missing android/gradle folder. yarn android throws error: “Could not find or load main class org.gradle.wrapper.GradleWrapperMain” I’d be glad if you could help.
All the files are present in the android folder. And so far template is very successful overall. It seems like you android studio not picking up the files. Just invalidate and restart the android studio, then clean and rebuild project. The problem should be fix after these steps, otherwise check your android studio installation. Thanks

There is no backend apis included in this version. This is only a react native cli based template app.
