1. I have tested the Merchant App in 3 different devices with 4 different printer all have bluetooth with ESC/POS command. all printers are connected with tablets. get the error message peripheral disconnected. I have also tested it with a similar device as summi, then no device was found in the app.
2. if I buy the Merchant App for android, I get the source code ? so my developer can customize the printer and remove some. customizing some of the features because it was very slow to use on andriod 11 with 2gb ram

Hello Basti. Good day. just to tell you that for me, @ Fenix12 is right. I have used endless apps and they can print on any printer. Why don’t you investigate more and find the solution. I have been with kmrs for 2 years and I have not been able to decide to promote the app until it works as it should. I only use it for my 2 restaurants, but I want to launch it for multiple businesses, but until it is a platform that is at least 90% functional, I dare not invest in marketing.

i understand but using different printer requires checking cause we rely only on the plugin were using
if the code working in certain printer am assuming it should work to the same specs for the printer
now if you use different printer i cannot check what is going in there its hard to debug what is the issue unless those printer is on my end

Hi Basti, Bought a new terminal, as the sunmi v2 is quite slow. The new terminal is Android 11 and has Esc/pos Bluetooth printer similar to sunmi v2. When I’m searching for the printer is never shown on the list. But if I use any other app like rawbt, loyverse, Uber etc the printer is visible and working

mate it depends on the printer if bt is using ble as you can see in your video i can see other bt devices except your printer bt
try to pair it first see if you can see the bt

tried that already but no change. I know the mac address of the printer. Will it work if I creat it manually in the database in st_printer table? Saw that it’s using device uuid not mac addresses in st_printer, I guess it’s converting the mac to uuid? how can I add a printer there manually?

Is it the the Bluetooth file in api folder where the config is? That file I need to change to update it with different Bluetooth plugin ?
I tried also to pair a 80mm Bluetooth printer STAR TSP100 and it’s still not visible but I can find it from other POS apps that can add printers from the terminal.

it must be a reason why some printers are not visible tho. Star may or may not be esc/pos but still when searching for Bluetooth should be visible. Like the TV was in my video an the sumup device which are not printers. I checked the plugin and didn’t find anything that might help. I guess you’re more familiar with it. What could be the reason for this to happen? I checked the reported issues on that plugin and no one mentioned that some printers are not visible. It’s a problem cause can’t say to the merchant that the app is finding some printers only and others don’t. Is there something that can be changed in the plugin that may help?
could be because only finding the bluetooth low energy devices? Can this be changed to find any bluetooth device instead?

I downloaded 5 bluetooth scanner apps and 5 ble scanner apps from play store. The printer is visible only on bluetooth scanner apps on the ble scanner apps I only see the TV and sumup device like in the merchant app video I sent you. So, my guess is the pos terminal and the other bluetooth printer I tried don’t use ble but bluetooth.
It’s the ble plugin that not finding the printer. Since these plugins are already created and shared in github can you check which one of them connects to all bluetooth and ble devices? And share with us what to replace in the merchant app files to make it work please?
As this app is going to be used from merchants, can’t restrict them to find only ble printers. When I bought this terminal it was saying ti has bluetooth 3.0 and ble 4.2 but the ble was for the device not for the printer. A lot of complaints will come from the merchants when they buy terminals and won’t find the printer when searching in merchant app. A
All these terminals have esc/pos printer (exept sunmi of course), but most of them don’t have ble, are still on bluetooth.
Most of the terminals that have screen and printer are old and still using bluetooth we just need a solution to cover both ble and bluetooth. From the terminals I tried only the sunmi is found in ble search and working so far.
The small printer you have in your video is not really something any of the merchants will use. It will be either a tablet and a 80mm printer or most likely pos terminals with 58mm innerprinter.

It’s not about the printer tho, it’s about the ble plugin. It used to connect ble peripherals. The small mobile printer you have on your video, it has ble to save power but most of the 80mm printers that are connected to power don’t have ble but normal Bluetooth. Also, some of the POS terminals with built-in printers are using Bluetooth not ble.
My issue is not printer related. It’s not even finding the printer. If it did it will work cause the terminal has ESC/POS built-in printer. I hired a developer to add the Bluetooth plugin in addition to the ble cause the app should be able to search for both Bluetooth and ble devices.
mate its very rare now you can find a library that use normal bt and even i can find a plugin that uses normal bt still i cannot make it work
i need the printer physically on my end
hope you understand that adding this kind of code is not easy without the printer physically

When I activate “Local Notifications” and “Plush Notifications” they automatically deactivate when I am on the order page.

Another question to ask. I created an apk through ide in android studio. I installed the app and setup my printer. I setup the printer to print automatically which is working fine for a while, but after around 30 minutes the automatically toggle button switch off and printer stop auto printing until I switch the toggle button on. how can I keep it on the whole time?

Hello Basti, good evening. I have the same problem as other users. Printing on the sunmiv2 does not print the food. I have updated to the latest version 1.0.6, I have manually updated the TaskController.php file and it still doesn’t work.
again its fixed already as you can see some of our conversation with others
what i think is you did not update the file properly the issue was only i used same variables for the items
