Hi, I have pre-sales question. I want to create different languages subsites on .fr, .es, .it domain names. So far your plugin allow that with multisite. But if the italian website need to have one product or one article and I don’t want to have it on the other subsites, is it possible? Can they act like different websites and don’t have everything synced on the main website?
Yes definitely! You can for example set the product status to “draft” in your Italian version and not sync the product status.
Thank you for your answer. Last question, in your video, I saw that the machine translation can be done on the post manually.
Is it also possible to automatically translate all the content? (let’s say 1000 products or posts) Going on every post and click on translate is as fast as using Deepl extension chrome for FREE to translate the content…
You can use “bulk actions” to translate multiple posts. This however could be limited depending on your server specs, so you need to make multiple smaller batches.
helo, does it work with advanced custom fields / post types ? best regards
yes of course all fields are supported
Hi,
if I run a MultiSite, can a single SubSite have multiple languages with your plugin?
Or is the plagin concept: only one language per SubSite?
Regards
Only one language per subsite
Please help reset my purchased code. I forgot when i used it.
i need to activating on my real web but it showed “License already used.” Please help me.
To reset please send your code to support@welaunch.io
I have sent it. Please check. Thank you.
If I buy your plugin can I translate all the articles in my wordpress in one click? Will the new translation be written to the database?
Yes you can use bulk actions to automatically translate multiple posts. They will be saved in your database.
1. Products and product categories can display images from the master site. 2. Import all orders to one single store. 3. Clone all the data from the main store to the subsite, we just need to translate it. I would like to add these 3 options above.
1) Image syncing is possible, but you need to manually edit the image on each site and replace it cause the ID will change
2) That is not possible as orders are site / language related
3) Cloning is possible of course
How many languages does it support ?
Request to reply How many languages does it support ? Any list
Hi I’m interested in buying kindly answer the pre sales questions in comments
Hello, sorry we do not work on weekends. Our plugin works with all languages. Please understand the concept of a Wordpress multisite before buying
hello,
Before I buy, I want to ask 1 important question.
After your plugin is active, I can translate according to some post types of the theme I use. I understand that.
In the theme I have used, the user’s page (example: sitename.com/author/abc/ ) is very important to me.
I can also do translations in this field, right?
My purpose: to show the profile page of the member in other languages.
We replied to your Email
can we make the Meta Hreflang appear earlier on the Head section on our site?
Hi there, what do you mean with “earlier”? They will appear in the head as normal. It does not matter on what position it appears.
Will the content of Beaver Builder (Page Builder Plugin) be translated?
Manually all content can be translated. When beaver builder uses shortcodes, then this is also supported by our machine translation.
You mean shortcodes like Visual Composer? As far as I know It doesn’t.
Maybe you can just test it out to see if it works
Here’s the error: maybe that’s why the post linking featured not working properly
2025163#2025163: *7610480 FastCGI sent in stderr: “PHP message: WordPress database error Unknown column ‘2’ in ‘where clause’ for query SELECT * FROM `hg_posts_translations` WHERE `2` = ‘25’; made by require(‘wp-admin/edit-form-blocks.php’), the_block_editor_meta_boxes, do_meta_boxes, WordPress_Multilingual_Multisite_Posts_Translations->connected, WordPress_Multilingual_Multisite_Translation_Tables->get_translated_items_by_item_id” while reading upstream, client: 2001:448a:11a8:14df:51ce:3ca8:9525:5abd, server: global.halogame.id, request: “GET /wp-admin/post.php?post=25&action=edit&message=4 HTTP/2.0”, upstream: “fastcgi://unix:/var/run/halogame.sock:”, host: “global.halogame.id”, referrer: “https://global.halogame.id/wp-admin/post.php?post=25&action=edit”
Seems like the database table was not created correctly. Please try disalbing our plugin network wide and enable again. If that not works, click on init translation tables in our plugin settings.
Still doesn’t work, what should I do?
Please try creating the column “2” in that table directly. You can use phpmyadmin for example
What do you mean by that? do I need to make the column “2” myself?
Yes just try to add a column with the name “2”. 2 is the the site ID you added.
I’m sorry, I dont’ know how to do that
Can you send us ftp or phpMyAdmin Access to support@welaunch.io?
The post linking features doesn’t work properly
Sorry what exactly does not work?
Wordpress 6.1 compatibility?
Yes for sure
1. Does this fully support Elementor? We use Elementor to design custom pages, and all the content on the page are in Elements of Elementor.
2. Are Crocoblocks plugins supported as well? we use JetEngine to create custom post types as well as custom meta fields and taxonomies.
3. Can we sync the menus and other parts of the site?
4. How does this plugin handle the updates? I mean, let’s say we translate a plugin in 6 languages. Later on, we update the English version and make some changes to the content and also add new content to that product, including the changes in descritption as well as attributes and meta fields. How this plugin keeps us alerted to update the translations to include the complete data?
1) yes for sure
2) CPTs are supported. Also custom taxonomies
3) Menus can not be synced sorry
4) You will have to take care all updates are done in each languages manually. You best do that directly in all languages.
Hi!
Can I translate the subsite theme using your plugin?
Let’s say I have site.com on which the theme is in english, and now I need to create french version of site site.com/fr but the theme does not have a french translation… can I use the WordPress Multilingual multisite plugin to also translate the theme strings?
Kindly,
You can use a plugin like Loco Translate to create own PO / MO files for your theme when they have none,
Does it also translate permalinks?
Yes you can translate them like you want.
Hi,
I am using a plugin called WP Multi Network (https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-multi-network/) to create multiple multisite networks instead of having just one. Here is why: instead of creating separate websites for content that are under the same brand. I want them as subsites under the same main domain brand. (Subdomain is not a good option for Us). For example, I have a Q&A section in which the URL would be: https://mainsite.com/qa/. But the thing is that I want /qa/ to be multisite of its own for localization reasons. So, can I use your plugin in such an environment to make a separate version of the /qa/ so that English users can get redirected to https://mainsite.com/qa/en while Spanish users are redirected to https://mainsite.com/qa/es and french users to https://mainsite.com/qa/fr ?
Again… /qa/ is not a subsite but a subnetwork, and I may add other separate subnetworks in the future.
Can I install and use WordPress Multilingual Multisite in a Multi-network environment and get it to work only on specific networks?
Kindly,
Right now our plugin is only built for one network, not for multiple ones. But we can customize / add this feature for you on Charge. Contact us at support@welaunch.io
Hi,
I bought the pro version of your plugin because I thought I could use it for a specific use case but I am stuck. Maybe you can help me.
I have a subdomain (https://subdomain.maindomain.com) on which I installed a multisite subdirectory environment, which results in having the main site https://subdomain.maindomain.com and a subsite https://subdomain.maindomain.com/subsite1. The main site does not have content, only the subsite1 does. Now, in the same multisite environment, I want to clone the subsite (https://subdomain.maindomain.com/subsite1) over to the main site (https://subdomain.maindomain.com). I look through your documentation I could not find anything helpful about that (maybe I miss it).
Can you please give me a hand? I absolutely need to get that done.
Kindly,
Please submit a ticket on our website: welaunch.io/en/contact/#new-ticket
WP multisite is needed however I have several doubts….
The translations you make are stored on the wordpress site or in the chosen folder or subdomain.
example:
source: mysite.com translate in spanish: option 1: mysite.com/es option 2: mysite.com/newsite/en
Thank you
sorry, and another question…
if i create different subsites in my source domain
Example:
mysite.com mysite.com/1 mysite.com/2
etc
On each new site do I have to buy a new license? Or does the license serve me for all the sites of the same root domain?
In a wp multisite each subsite has its own database. This is where the translations are stored.
You only need 1 license per multisite.
thanks for the answer.
another doubt. is it possible to translate with another type that does not incur expenses? i mean that with the free version that has deepl, google or microsoft, it is not enough for me, because my blog has many articles, and therefore i would need somehow not to incur additional costs of translator. is this possible? thanks.
When you want to use a premium translation service API, you need to pay for the API costs of course. There is no way around it.
You only pay once per translated post of course as it gets saved in your database.
Yes, I know, but when we are talking about translating about 500 entries of a single website, it would be very expensive, that’s why I said to include other alternatives with apis like amazon which is much cheaper, or yandex (in addition to the ones you already have of course).
20€ for 2.000.000 characters seem not very expensive if you ask us. However we currently only have deepl, google and Microsoft.
Hello
true, however, I recently did with another plugin a website of about 30 pages and post in total, and had about 66000 words, which are about 550,000 characters, and with 2,000,000 as you tell me, only gives me for 4 languages and 20 usd for 4 languages in a small project, is expensive. why I asked for cheaper alternatives, because to translate, four pages in 2 or 3 languages phenomenal, for intermediate or larger things, the costs soar.
But well, I understand from your words, that amazon or some free service, is not within your plans…
DeepL free is included. Then google, deepl paid and Microsoft. That is all.
Hi, presale
1) Can I use your plugin on two different sites (domains)? Or for each domain I need buy license?
2) Can I use plugin on developing domain and on publish site?
3) Can plugin work on simple site (not multisite)?
4) What about performance? I know WPML is very slowly, thats why we use polylang/
5) is your plugin support Crocoblock, bricksc ?
Hello
1) In a multisite you only have 1 WP installation for both domains. So you only need 1 license for the WP Installation.
2) You can use it on both. But the license is only activated on the site where updates should go automatically.
3) No
4) Multisite separates the database – so it is the fastest solution for WP Translations
5) Yes all plugins are supported.
