Great… I’m going to buy today, but I need some help.

I was playing with the demo. I’ve deposited a small amount of matic and played with no problem. But a little while ago I did it again and there seemed to be a network issue. My transaction wasn’t “mined in 50..” blah blah… so I increased the gas (metamask)...

The transaction was sent and has a tons of confirmations in the network now, but in the demo is just says “created”, instead of “pending” or “Completed”, like the previous ones. (I do have a number of “Created” from previous tinkering around).

question: 1) Can you fix this and credit my account? 2) As admin, how easy is for me to fix issues like this 3) How often do they occur (especially with a busy system)

We have credited your account manually. The problem could have happened if you closed or navigated away from the deposit page until the transaction was completed. It’s important to stay on the deposit page after you approve the transaction in Metamask, so that its status is automatically set to “Pending” when a confirmation from Metamask is received. Also if you manually resend the transaction from Metamask it won’t reflect in the application.

As the admin you can always credit user accounts with any amount you like. I believe such issues can only happen with low gas fees, it’s not dependent on the website traffic.

Yes. Just so you know, I was demonstrating the system to someone and I made a deposit. I then realized that the deposit was taking longer than usual, and I thought the gas fee was too low, so I went in to increase it.

As you say, at some point I might have surfed away from the page, though I don’t recall being warned not too. I’ll hope there is a way I can force that in the user’s mind so I can keep the support tickets down.

For now you can add extra warnings / disclaimers to a particular deposit method (using the description field) to draw users’ attention that it’s important to stay on the page until the payment is accepted by the blockchain. We will also try to make some updates in order for the user to understand this process better. Unfortunately it’s not possible to force it, but adding some warnings should help.

Hi, this has happened again with my customer polygon ERC 20 Token. I did not leave the page. I got a message that the transaction wasn’t mined in 50 confirmations. When I look at the frontend deposit log I see “created”. It’s currently at 372 Block Confirmations. I did increase the gas as it sat for awhile… but I did not surf away from the deposit page.

if a transaction is not confirmed within a certain time frame Metamask will send a time out error like the one above and in this case it can no longer update the deposit status, because the connection between the app and Metamask is lost. In such cases the pretty much only way to handle it is to credit the user account manually. We will try to make an enhancement, so instead you can complete a deposit, which is stuck in the created state.

ok. So so you know, I never left the page and nor did I disconnect the site from metamask. If it helps, I’ve used sites that have the ability to update the transaction later, in the background from the block explorer, if it helps you to know that the solution is out there somewhere.

As I’ve said previously, I plan to buy most all of your plugins (and anything new, cool, and useful). Including the expended licenses, as soon as I can separate the leaderboard into categories. My business needs the player/s to focus on the leader of the contest (for a defined period would be nice) and if I had ALL of the plugins, I’m sure they would get distracted and no one would know at what the leader is the leader of!
