Hi,

I am in the process of creating a website using Elementor that features both regular products and auction products. I currently have a large number of categories and filters set up for these products, and I aim to provide an intuitive user experience for visitors browsing these items.

Specifically, I would like to create separate pages for regular products and auction products. On these pages, I want the respective product filters (such as categories, tags, or custom attributes) to function correctly for the type of product being displayed. However, I want to avoid any crossover between the product types in the filtering process—for example, I don’t want auction products appearing in the results when filtering regular products, and vice versa.

Could you suggest the best way to implement this functionality? Are there plugins, custom code, or settings within Elementor and WooCommerce that would allow me to achieve this separation while keeping the filters dynamic and responsive?

Hi,

To achieve the functionality you described separate pages for regular products and auction products with filters that dynamically and correctly display results without any crossover you can follow these steps:

Elementor Setup: Create two pages in Elementor: one for regular products and another for auction products.

WooCommerce Shortcodes: Use WooCommerce shortcodes like [products] to display products on each page.

For example: Regular products: [products category=”regular”] Auction products: [products category=”auction”]

Alternatively, use Elementor’s Product Widget to select and display products from specific categories.

Filter Settings in WBW Product Filter

Here’s how to configure them:

Filter by Product Type:

In the WBW filter settings, create separate filter presets for each product type. Assign these filters to the relevant pages.

Set the relevant category / attribute as default to each filter – https://prnt.sc/ja3cQ1y3zVyX

Hello, I am using your plugin in the free version for a test. I want to buy it, but I have one very important question. I have products, they are all variable, they contain all the values of one attribute, but the variants are only created from, for example, 3 values. For example, I have a sneaker that has attribute values from EU16 to EU55, but I only have variants EU 36, EU 38, EU 40 (others are not even created). Unfortunately, the filter shows all sizes from EU 16 to EU 55 in the attributes. I have the “hide attributes without product” option enabled. Can you solve this? All you have to do is tell me yes or no, and I’ll immediately buy a plugin and open a ticket with you

HI mareku5,

Yes, please create a ticket.

Hi. I was using this plugin on one site and then stopped using it. Now I’m trying to re-activate it on the same site, but it says: “Your license for PRO version of WBW Product Filter plugin – expired.” and I can’t basically use this plugin anymore. Can’t even edit old filters. Why? And how to fix it?

Hi, I buy your plugin this day but the Envato credentials (Item Purchase Code) not work!!

We have responded to your new message, please check.

Hi, great, problem solved!! THANKS!!!

You`re welcome!

HI I’m looking for an ajax conditional filter with horizontal display for auto part. (Category +subcategory + attributes +Tag )

I want the user to be able to filter by category part – subcategory – brand vehicle – model – years with the possibility of entering (input) keywords in each section, example:

https://chromium.themes.zone/catalog/

Thanks

Hi yacineamotech, The plugin has a horizontal mode: https://woobewoo.com/documentation/how-to-create-horizontal-product-filter/ Step-by-step filtering too: https://i.imgur.com/Mg8dAdq.png There is a search inside a drop-down list: https://i.imgur.com/OVUeOiD.png

Hi

1-can I create a filter shortcut in the horizontal home page and another in the products page

2 – how I should create the structure of the database: for the filter to work in hierarchy: car brand – model – year – Part category – part subcategory (is it possible to communicate two attributes which in several terms with categories and subcategory) Thanks

Pre-sale question: Can you please clarify if this is possible? We have the free version of this plugin installed on our store and we want to create a separate filter for the subcatagories. For example, if someone chooses the main category “Peripherals” then a new filter will appear next to it with all its children categories, like “Keyboards” and “Mice”. Can we do that with the Pro version?

Hello gricgroup,

Yes it is possible.

You will need to create a category filter section that will display only parent categories by manually specifying them in the list in the category settings, or limit the display to only parent categories by activating the corresponding option (dynamic categories list) in the categories section settings.

https://woobewoo.com/documentation/product-categories/

Similarly, create a second section of the category filter with the only difference that it will display not parent but child categories only.

And then activate the step-by-step filtering option: https://i.imgur.com/Wza0sya.png

If you have any additional questions contact our support team https://woobewoo.com/contact-us/

Hi. Are your ‘Installable Wordpress’ download files update? They seem to error for me if i activate alongside the free version (as instructed). And when activated on their own it’s still the free version and not the Pro version? Thanks.

I’m still getting the same errors in the ‘new’ version released an hour ago.

Is anybody still supporting this plugin?

Hi,

I’m using the free version at the moment and would like to check if the following is available/can be done on the paid version: Is there an option for popup style instead of in the sidebar only? This is useful in mobile/dekstop view as the user will have an option to click on the filter and show a popup of the filter options first instead of being displayed on almost half of the page especially when on mobile device. Is there an option to filter by tags? I only can find filter by category, rating and price.

Thanks,

Hello hanmyx,

https://i.imgur.com/kkTjF4z.png – Yes, we just added a floating filter mode. https://i.imgur.com/oL963eS.png – A tag filtering section is also available.

Read more: https://woobewoo.com/documentation/product-tags/

Thank you. Looks like the floating is in the pro version. I’ll continue using the free for now and probably look at purchasing for other features in the future. Great plugin and really easy to use! Thanks!

Hello -

This looks good but wanting to know more on the following to purchase.

1. It would be good if there was a way to have alias name for attributes options. example, if I have attribute “Color” and option “Red1” and “Blue1”. I would want display on filter the alias of “Red” and “Blue” instead of “Red1” and “Blue1”. Simply – Red1 = Alias display “Red” and “Blue1” = Alias display “Blue”.

2. Is there option to allow for this to have ‘infinite” load or ‘load more’ ajax for the filtered results page like shop page/search result page and pagination. The theme I use is Porto Wordpress Woo

3. I notice filter urls are not pretty and has more parameter looks. Would be possible to make pretty url? Also maybe have some analytics for filtered terms selection.

Thanks

Hello Woobewoo – submitted a ticket as suggested from the link you shared.

Hi Woobewoo – Firstly, have to say this is a gem of a plugin and can see will only get better with releases. I am getting closer to resolving the request. I have sent a reply to results count on search term.

Hi theknightz,

Hello is it possible to filter WooCommerce loop by products that have already been bought/purchased by the logged in user. as this a feature I cannot find in any WooCommerce filter but desperately need. Many thanks

Hello codeworks-studio,

Unfortunately, at the moment there is no such possibility. But maybe we can add it for you. Please contact our internal support team – https://woobewoo.com/contact-us/

I purchased a regular license for this and the status in the plug in now says license expired on my WP back end. this is causing some functionality issues. I understand my support option has ended but surely the license should should say active with full functionality.

Hello TDACSLTD,

Please contact our internal support team – https://woobewoo.com/contact-us/ We will check what the problem is.

I tried the free version to see if the filter could be used to only show child categories of the current page. But it seems it is not possible.

Hello phalancs,

https://prnt.sc/1thztmz – Parent categories can be hidden in the hierarchical display settings.

Dear team,

on a website we use your plugin. Now the pagination is not working. After refreshing the page the pagination is working fine. Could you check please what is going wrong?

Hello! I have several pre-sale questions: 1) I am using Woodmart premium theme – will filter’s design follow themes design (fonts, colors, button shapes, etc.)? If not, what are the limitations of customization? I really need a shop/product filter which would fit/merge with the theme’s design. Is it possible? Can you please share at least one live shop example of your filter? 2) When shop visitor clicks on any category or subcategory on main mega menu is it possible to filter results (what has been tick boxed) between main mega menu and product grid and at the same time to see a customized category and attribute filter on the left side of the product grid (like a sidebar)? 3) Is is possible to see in a filter area just below main menu what visitor has chosen from the sidebar filter with X (remove) option for each? For example visitor wants to see X brand’s day creams for dry skin so in this area I would like to see: (x) X brand (x) Day Creams (x) Dry Skin and to be able to remove any of the 3 if I want. 4) Is it possible to create a different sidebar filter for each product category from the main mega menu? I have 9 categories in total and each of it requires different side bar filter. For example, for Face Care category I need filter to consist of several subcategories (Face Care categories, skin types, on sale, new, bestsellers, product line + one attribute (brand)). Another category (for Nails) needs a filter with subcategories + attributes like brand, color and product type, maybe also size. 5) Can each sidebar filter categories be with tick box? 6) Is it possible to also see on sidebar how many products are under each tick box? 7) How will both filters (sidebar and below menu) look on mobile? Identical to desktop version? 8.) Is it WPML compatible?

Hello LiivR,

1. http://joxi.ru/MAj5z9as17kzN2 – The filter has the ability to take over styles from your theme. https://wordpress.org/plugins/woo-product-filter/ – There is also a free version that you can test on your site.

2. It is not entirely clear how this should work. When going to a category page, do you need to mark this category in the category filter? If so, there is a corresponding option for this: http://joxi.ru/eAOOeNoI6n64KA

3. http://joxi.ru/J2bz4aQUgEgX32 – There is an option that allows you to display active filter items in a separate widget.

4. Yes, you can make a separate filter for each category. And you can bind filters to the categories here: http://joxi.ru/xAeoYOWFbebXNm

5. http://joxi.ru/D2Pne0oUBXBBPr – Yes, there is a checkbox display mode.

6. The product counter can be activated here: http://joxi.ru/LmGWy0oCgdgBLm

7. The question is not clear. What is meant by “below menu” is not clear. The filter is responsive, it adapts to the mobile look, the theme also makes its own adjustments to this. There are also many settings that allow you to modify the display of the filter on mobile devices.

8. Yes.

Hello JNLA,

Pods compatibility not tested. However, you can check it out with the free version: https://wordpress.org/plugins/woo-product-filter/

Hi, can it filter Pods 2.8 data at WP frontend as – Pods Custom Post Types by Pods Custom Taxonomies?

Hello JNLA,

Pods compatibility not tested. However, you can check it out with the free version: https://wordpress.org/plugins/woo-product-filter/

Hi, clarify, please: 1) “Search by keyword filter” can be used only for Posts titles or Posts text also or for any selected taxonomies also? 2) Does Stars Rating filter can be used for any numeric taxonomy or only for WooC Products Reviews? 3) Do you have filter similar to FacetWP fSelect, https://facetwp.com/documentation/facets/facet-types/fselect/ , http://slimselectjs.com , https://mdbootstrap.com/docs/vue/forms/multiselect/ , https://www.jqueryscript.net/blog/best-multiple-select.html – maybe even with autocomplete? 4) Similar filter to #3 with search and multi-select but presented as always visible scroll-able fixed-size list (for example display always 10 of all with scrolling)? 5) Is there any possibility to completely custom filters placement and sizing, for example all small-text etc filters at 3 columns, but long-text filters below as 1 column, etc? maybe by creating a custom html/css template?

hello, i was using free version but i saw that most of the options i wanted were on the pro version, so i purchased the plugin but still can’t use the pro options

Saw the error, the button “download installable wordpress file only” on codecanyon account downloads the free version, i had to download all files and documentation to get the right version.

Hello,

We are glad that you were able to solve this issue. Get back to us if you’ll need our help again.

I quote the previous topic: “Using WoodMart theme and filter works till I leave the page so if I go to different category and return then there is endless loading icon. https://jmk.haidak.ee/jetid/ So it doesnt work for me…anything you could do to fix it if I buy…Or I need PRO version plugin to work?” I have a same problem. Did you solve that?

Thank you
