Hello!
I have a few questions about the plugin and it does not seem to be working for me. Where can I find your discord so that I can add you?
Hello) Please email me at support@nicolaypetrovich.com for the beginning.
Greetings, Thank you,
Does this plugin integrate with WooCommerce Subscriptions?
Hello) Supposed to work, contact me and we will test it together.
the plugin is compatible with Ultimate Membership Pro?
or in ’’wp user frontend pro’‘
It was not tested with any of those. Contact me and we will check. support@nicolaypetrovich.com
I would like to have a free floating icon on my page like on https://widgetbot.io/, with which my discord channel can be called directly. Is that possible with your plugin. If not, are you planning this function?
Hello) Currently not, but it sounds like a good idea, I would like to implement it. Please email me at support@nicolaypetrovich.com and we will discuss the details.
Hi I am considering buying this plugin. But I am planning to use Woocommerce membership & Woocoommerce subscription instead Memberpress as Memberpress doesn’t support my local gateway which I have to go through woocommerce. Do you have any suggestion? Thanks.
Hello) I am in touch with Memberpress dev team, we can ask them to add support. Or we can test any other combination of plugins, with my plugin. Email me support@nicolaypetrovich.com
Hey There, im interested in purchasing this – we currently use ARmember and would like to sync active members in to the Discord server and if a new member signs up to our wordpress it offers them the choice to join the discord server and if a member cancels their subscription it auto removes them from the discord server, is this something that your plugin can do?
Hello) Armember is not supported. We started a discussion with developers to integrate together but in the middle of it, they just disappeared. You can try to contact them and tell them that you are interested in this integration if you want. If they will return to communication, I am all in also.
Is there anything we can do to assist with the dev?
One of the main problems is constant access to code, also it is very good when you have a communication channel with a developer team. This plugin is paid, and if I guarantee support in my plugin this means I must track compatibility in all updates. I understand that I could just buy it, and it is possible in the future if really a lot of people would ask for integration. There are more paid plugins in this situation, but I am just not ready to invest in all of them without significant requests from people.
Is it possible to include a Login With Discord button on the MemberPress login page (not the wordpress login page)?
I will se what can be done and contact you when I have something
Hi there,
a wonderful working plugin. We had a bit trouble at installing and connecting the plugin with discord but now everything work.
But: We need a function or a option to turn off, that the discord-authorization opens in a new tab… If there would be a option like this, then this plugin would be perfect!
Hello
We have this option. I the plugin settings scroll to ‘Redirects’ section and you will see ‘Try to open in a new tab…’ checkbox. If it will not take effect probably some other plugin opening external link in new tab by force.
Can you make it so people can only login via discord and that they wont be able to login/register via normal WordPress form?
You can place only a ‘Login with Discord’ button on the website and do not give any other means to log in for the customer.
they will still be able to access wp-login directly though
Such functionality already present in many plugins. for example you can use any of the security plugins to hide or relocate this page.
Presale question: Possible to make discord available to only WordPress users?
As, you can login with WordPress website account into ‘private’ discord server?
WordPress plugin can’t do it, this is not happening directly on the website. You need a Discord bot developer to answer this question.
Ok thanks for information
That sounds good, would you set it all for me too? Would also pay for it. What member management works with your am best? Thanks for your work
I will help with setup for free, if you want you can tip or live a good review after the job is done
When choosing a membership plugin would recommend you compare the required functionality with pricing. I have a direct communication channel with MemberPress developers, so if we will need something from their side it will be much quicker.
Is the following possible with your extension?
1) A user registers in my store
2) The user synchronizes WordPress (Buddy press & BB press) with Discord and the corresponding roles.
3) Based on the different roles, the user should be able to buy different things in the store.
4) If the user rises a rank in Discord, he can buy new things in the store at Wordpress.
is this possible?
1) Yes. 2) You can sync user roles. There is not official support for BB press right now but it supposed to work as well. Let me know if it not. 3) This is members management, you should look for plugins like Memberpress, Ultimate Membe, etc. 4) It is possible if you configure store limits in your member managment plugin and setup role sync from guild to WP in my plugin.
does this work with buddypress or buddyboss?
It is integrated with BuddyPress, if some functions you need are missing, let me know. BuddyBoss integration coming currently in development but general functions, like authorization with Discord, for example, must work properly.
I need profile sync FROM Discord (avatar + user) Login ONLY with Discord (specific roles) Role Sync FROM/TO Discord (option to choose direction)
Sync avatar – cannot be done directly because WP and BP use Gravatar service, currently considering image replacement option, but I still testing how stable it is. Sync names – happening only on new user registration. Login with a specific role – present. Roles sync in both directions – present.
Hi can i pay to have this support Multi-Site networks??
Hi) Can you please mail me on support@nicolaypetrovich.com and describe what exactly you need to work. Was not planning make it for Multi-Site, but I will take a look we can do
Update on this topic. Unfortunately, I will not be releasing support for multisite. Too much work has to be done and only a few people asked for it.
Does anyone know what the shortcodes are? I’m looking for the one that allows users to connect their Discord account to their Wordpress account. Thanks.
I have found the shortcode, I have included an image of all of them in case anyone else needs them: https://craigs-images.xyz/o5aia6oapu.png
Yes, this is the one https://nicolaypetrovich.gitbook.io/argus-discord-wordpress-plugin/wordpress-shortcodes/connect-profile-shortcode
If you like, you can wright me, I will help you with installation)
So currently on my site: User purchases subscription, they get added to role, I manually add them to discord. If user cancel or subscription ends they get removed from wordpress role, then I manually remove them from discord channel
With this plugin can it automatically do the above? Add/remove the person, similar to upgrade.chat, but how would it know the users discord account?
Anyways, let me know if this can do it, and how I can set it up.
This plugin will know about Discord, if a user authorized with Discord account on the website plugin will connect it to WP account, you also can do this manually with Discord User ID.
This plugin does not manage roles, you will need to use some of the membership plugins to manage all membership functions.
This plugin will automatically sync roles for users that have connected Discord profile.
This plugin does not add or remove users from the guild.
You can also take a look at the documentation for more ditails: https://nicolaypetrovich.gitbook.io/argus-discord-wordpress-plugin/Just got this! Excited to get it integrated! You should do Twitch next. I would pay for that in a heartbeat!
This plugin is amazing! Works amazingly out of the box and very excited to use it in production!
Messaged the dev with a few suggestions
Thank you) Answered to the email, let’s discuss Twitch plugin)
Because I am using buddypress, users do not see their “wordpress” user profile that has the button to link their Discord to their existing wordpress account. How can I give my buddypress users the ability to link their existing Discord?
There is a dwpp-connect-profile-button shortcode, it will output button to attach Discord profile to currently logged in WP user. Complete support of the buddy press currently in development, but this function should work properly.
Hi, does it have chat invitation? Tks!
Hi) In each widget you can chose to what channel user will be directed if he clicks join button. And you have shortcode that outputs invitation link to selected channel.
What do you think, when Argus will be integrated in BuddyPress?
BuddyPress integration is not on the roadmap yet. Right now I am collecting requests about particular functions that people want to see. You can describe what exact functionality you expect as well.
