There’s already keywords suggestion in the SEO reports, but they’re shown only when a SEO report doesn’t pass the Content Keywords test. Traffic data would require additional API services & queries to be integrated, perhaps you can suggest any decently priced service for that? We couldn’t find any.

There are no plans for Teams at the moment. The reports privacy can be changed so that the reports are being publicly sharable or password protected.

Cool will see if I can find anything like this, also I would like to ask how can we change the colors ? Can you give details on the same which file we will have to edit etc ? Also one more suggestion please add report url field with copy to clipboard option.

Please this screenshot above in side by side comparison. “e.g. under Heading there are h1, h2, h3” showing but in PDF is not showing only the numbers are showing in front of them. Same this is happening with all the data with is showing under accordions. Please check.

You have three options to change the CSS.

1. Via Admin > Settings > Appearance > Custom CSS field, by rewriting the current CSS rules. 2. By modifying the CSS files located in /public/css/ folder. 3. (Recommended, but advanced) By recompiling the SASS files located in /resources/sass/ folder (this requires knowledge in working with SASS files). We’ve included the entire SASS project so that you can customize it as you please.

For the links, no – you can’t change it to that, due to obvious reasons. What if some other customer generates a SEO report for the same URL you did? It would override your SEO report, or vice-versa. Also when shortening extremely long URLs, the URLs would be gianormous.

In your Print dialog, change the page setting to A4, or a similar setting. You didn’t mentioned what OS and Browser you’re using.

3- Well I’m was using demo on MacBook M1 and using safari. Note : I just checked it’s working fine in google chrome but not in safari.

The screenshots included contain information that is public, and are real screenshots taken directly on our platform. You don’t need a written permission to use them, as you’re not advertising your product as being in a partnership, or endorsed by them.

With that said, we’ll look into this, maybe we can offer an alternative in our next version.

Sorry for correcting you, but I already took a lawyer consulting for this topic before contacting you. they strictly recommend not to use protected logos and trademarks on own products.

The public availability of a logo doesn’t invalidate the concept of a trademark and all rights to charge people for using protected content without official premission.

Here I am talking about the German law-right. Maybe in other countries there are different restrictions.

Anyways, it would be nice to be able to modify the home section without loosing the modifications after updating. Is it somehow possible?

You can simply backup your modified files, and restore them after an update.

A trademark infringement happens when a confusion or deception happens as a result of the use of that logo (e.g: using the logo to pretend to be someone that you’re not, or deceptively misleading a user as a result of the use of that logo), which is obviously not the case here, as all the screen-shots are actually SEO reports generated on our website.

Whether it’s Germany, or the rest of the world, the trademark infringement law is pretty much the same everywhere. Could you please share the law number, and the article number, which strictly prohibits the use of this? Because as you’re saying it right now, it would be impossible for any german company to display anyone else’s logo on a blogpost, on a wikipedia page, or anywhere else for that matter, including in relevant places (like in our examples), which is not the case, as I could enumerate an entire lists of websites that do this (german based one).

It’s not a simple issue. And it’s not so much about prohibitions. It’s about the high risk of being sued. It is also primarily irrelevant whether one is right or wrong. The decisive question is: Do you want to make yourself vulnerable and attractive for law firms or do you prefer not to use other people’s trademarks and sleep peacefully?

To the actual question:

Trademark infringement can take place on many levels. Among other things, the trademark owner may have protected a Nice Class, which includes software products.

In this situation, it is up to the trademark owner to decide whether he grants people the right to use his trademark in image and wording by means of provided usage guidelines or whether he sends lawyers after you instead.

Google, for example, even prohibits the use of logos that do not meet its standards. Example: https://about.google/brand-resource-center/brand-elements/ There is even a separate form where you first have to ask for permission: https://support.google.com/contact/brand_request_form Apple also reserves the right to restrict the use of its trademarks visually and writing. https://www.apple.com/legal/intellectual-property/guidelinesfor3rdparties.html

And unfortunately, in Germany you will even be sued if you create snapshots of websites and make them publicly available. Similar to our great PHPRank Checker Screenshot function (which I disabled). I know it sounds insane. Unfortunately we don’t have “fair use” in Germany like in the USA.

If you read the Google’s branding resources, they clearly make a distinction between clear, concise use (fair usage), and deceptive use. For example, they tell you not to say “Google ads specialist”, but you can say “For Gmail” for example.

For example, Google’s branding guide specify that their use of logo has to be of a certain color (in this case a dark gray one), has proper spacing, and is not emphasized in a way that would cause confusion (has a clear hierarchy, in our case, all the logos in the cloud are the same): https://i.imgur.com/GNiaIHE.png – we meet all these criaterias.

Furthermore, they go as far as to say that it’s allowed to use their branding in plain text, if you have an integration with one of their service: https://i.imgur.com/IzEGTHW.png

So I’m not entirely sure what the actual issue is here. All our wordings are extremely clear and concise, we’ve made sure of that with all of the logos used.

Also it seems to me that you’re confusing trademark with copyright. The contents of a website can fall under copyright infringement indeed, assuming it’s not used as “fair use”. As it is now, the source from which the excerpt is taken is clearly mentioned, and properly linked back.

Following your logic, you should never generate any SEO reports for any page (or crawl any website without reading its ToS in advance), as each website owns the copyrights for its contents. Services like Google, Bing, and other search engines should never exist if that was the case. If, there ever is an issue with a copyright, a DMCA can be submitted, and you can take the appropriate actions to resolve that.

In the article you’ve provided: https://www.ra-plutte.de/urheberrecht-abmahngefahr-crawling-sreenshots/ – it clearly tells you that it is permissible (see: https://i.imgur.com/Q6wjWn0.png ) to frame a website (in our case show a screenshot), presuming you’re not using that content in a way that would infringe their copyrights, which is what we do too. The screenshot is a mere embedded image from a 3rd party service, it is properly linked back to the webpage’s source, and the sole purpose of it is to show how the page has rendered in regards to its SEO/UX utility, not to benefit from its actual contents.

You must take take things, and read them in context.

Again, as previously said – if this is really an issue – you can always customize the home-page and simply make a backup of it and restore it every time you do an update, it should take less than 5 seconds to do that, if that’s a concern for you.

Look, I’m giving you back what was recommended to me. I am also not confusing trademark law with copyright law, but I am well aware that the two can also complement each other.

As a trademark owner, you basically always have the longer lever. You can change, use and interpret the restrictions for public use at any time. Change the guidelines and interpret that someone is violating your guidelines. To that I repeat, in Germany there are no “fair use” laws.

So it is extremely risky to plaster your own commercially operated SaaS with other people’s trademarks. Here, I take the path of least risk and generally avoid using other brands. That’s just my opinion.

As I have already mentioned before. Every experienced business operator knows: In the end it is not decisive who is legally right. It is decisive who has the time and budgets to go through legal instances against trademark owners / authors. And in the case of a problem against a large corporation, certainly not me.

So don’t take this as an attack against you. I’m simply speaking as someone who has managed for years to avoid getting into legal conflicts, of which there are plenty in Germany, by being extra careful.

Last but not least comes the usage factor: How much benefit do you get from using these trademarks on your site? Is it in proportion? Is it worth it to use them if you can get into legal situations (where you have to prove that you are right) every now and then? I don’t think that the brands on the home page bring me any benefit.

However, you have created a great software that I would upgrade to the Extenderd version in the future. However, I will take the safe route and avoid third-party brands.

Yes, the business model is as follows: your customers can pay for a monthly or yearly subscription, and in exchange, they’ll be able to generate SEO reports (requires an Extended license).

Of course, you could generate the reports yourself and sell them off-site if you wish.

The meta descriptions should be set individually in the view files so that they are not duplicated. This can be done by adding your meta tags within the

@section('head_content')

tags in the files located in /resources/views/ folder.
