Can I legally use the plugin in Germany? Will everything be correctly labeled for the tax office on the invoices? So with 19% so also the percent sign etc ?

Hi there.

Thanks for your message.

Yes, you can legally use the Bookly in Germany. Many of our users are based in Germany and use the Bookly Taxes Add-on to comply with local tax regulations as it provides the option to set up VAT.

If I am off-base, you need additional help or have additional questions/clarifications about this, please email us at support@bookly.net so we can look into this matter for you.

Many thanks,
Richel

Hi, I have purchased and installed this, followed all the instructions, however it isn’t showing the tax amount in the cart screen, but when I go through to PayPal, it shows the item with the tax added on.

I need it to show during the process, the tax added on – not just at the payment step in PayPal

Hi, how do I change the TAX name on Bookly Invoices? Currently it’s Tax, but I want it to be GST

Hello,

Is there a way to set a flat rate for tax instead of a percentage?

Hi there,

Thank you for your message.

Currently, this is not supported. You can leave your feature request here: https://ideas.booking-wp-plugin.com/boards/feature-requests and if it gets enough votes, it might be implemented in future releases.

Our customers can use a price correction feature for different payment methods/gateways which will affect the total cost of the booking (Bookly menu > Settings > Payments): https://prnt.sc/OOFi1cd1yTTL

Using Bookly Pro / Deposits / Taxes with WooCommerce. Why is tax being calculated for the entire order (service) and not the deposit (actual amount being charged)? (IE service: $1000 @ 8.25% tax = $82.50 / Deposit = 50%) Cart should show $500 + $41.25 Tax… BUT IT’S showing $500 + $82.50 tax.

How can this be fixed? It is NOT ETHICAL to charge double tax for a deposit (or tax for amount not yet collected). Customers will not like this nor should they be expected to…. nor should we be expected to explain why we are charging double tax.

PLEASE ADVISE.

Quoted from Bookly’s response to me via email:

Hello,

Thank you for your message.

Right now, that’s correct behavior. You can leave your request here: https://ideas.booking-wp-plugin.com/boards/feature-requests and if it gets enough votes, it might be implemented in the future release.

Let me know if you have any other questions. IMPORTANT: Please ensure you add additional comments and information via this ticket only. We kindly ask you NOT to open a new ticket with the same inquiry because it delays the response time.

Kate

Best regards, Bookly Team

My response:

Kate, How is charging too much tax (the less the deposit amount, the more overage the taxed amount) “correct behavior” It is completely unethical to charge more tax than the exact state’s percentage (8.5% in my state) on the charged amount.

So, what you are saying is that the Taxes Add-On does not function correctly with the Deposit Add-On and you consider that OK.

For me and anyone not seeking not to scare away customers by charging too much tax, it is not “correct behavior” and is basically broken. I shouldn’t have to, nor am I going to, submit this problem with your code as a “future request” and hope for enough upvotes so that it might become usable in the future.  You should, at the very least, have a disclaimer in BOTH the Taxes Add-On and the Deposit Add-On stating the two DO NOT FUNCTION PROPERLY TOGETHER (which is sloppy to say the least).

I would like to get a refund on the Tax Add-On. I will seek it through the Envato Market and will leave a review detailing my experience. I will also reply to your cop-out reply to my question left on Envato.

Hello,

Thank you for your message.

Please check this link regarding the refund procedure: https://help.market.envato.com/hc/en-us/articles/202821460-Can-I-Get-A-Refund-

Before you ask for a refund, please refer to Envato Market Refund Rules to be informed of the situations when Envato is not obliged to give refunds: https://themeforest.net/page/customer_refund_policy

Hello,

What will be the best way to split the TAX rules in Bookly? So you have a course and for that course you need a book.

Example: Services 9% TAX and the extra’s for that specific service (for example a book) 0% TAX.

Thank you in advance,

Hello, I bought the Bookly Tax addon. But it does not work at all. 1) Enter the tax % is not shown correctly as %. 2) During booking process it is not available at all.

Maybe never updated and incompatible with the current Bookly version?

Hi, I purchased the tax add-on and the invoice add-on. Unfortunately, the invoice generated does not fulfill German tax rules. It would need to have a line after the positions. summarizing as follows:

Total net price: {total_price_no_tax} VAT Rate: {service_tax_rate} Total VAT: {total_tax} Total price incl. VAT: {total_price}

I tried to add that to the template, but the fields are not filled in. What can I do?

Thanks, Timm

Hello, I reviewed the demo and I can’t see to understand where to find the breakdown of taxes on the payment reports. It’s stated that this is a feature of the plugin: “Display taxes in payment reports”

Please advise, I need to remit my taxes and should be able to view all the taxes collected. Thank you.

Hello,

Thank you for your message.

The information about the taxes can be seen if you go to Payments section and click on Details option: http://joxi.ru/nAy0YqxiwxqkV2

Let me know if it works for you.

No, it doesn’t. It states that taxes can been seen in reports…this is not a report, you would need to click on each order to get the tax amounts. It needs to be accessible in a report and should be shown in its own “column”. For anyone that collects taxes, a total will be needed and the need to access each order and calculate your own taxes seems inefficient. Otherwise, people could just add taxes to their rates without the plugin. This plugin should be able to separately account for the taxes collected.

Can this be adjusted so we are able to get taxes in reports as stated? Please advise, thank you.

Hello,

Thank you for your message.

Currently, there is no report for the tax amount summary. The tax amount is displayed in the payment details only. You can leave your request here: https://ideas.booking-wp-plugin.com/boards/feature-requests/7942 and if it gets enough votes, it might be implemented in the future release.

I’m putting in a sales rate of 7% but it’s being calculated at around 6.5 percent. Please help. Any idea why it’s doing this?

I’ve added the Tax Add-On and appear to have it configured for 7% tax to each of my services. When booking a service, the tax is displayed in the cart (also an add-on) to the right of the Price but the Price Total doesn’t add the tax amount to the total amount. In short, the sub-total carries over to the Total and the Tax isn’t added. My stripe account is still in test mode. Is this why the Tax isn’t being added to the total? Let me know and thank you.

Hi,

Did you set to “Exclude taxes” for the “Price settings and display” setting (Settings -> Payments)?

If you did and the problem still persists, please send us an email to support@bookly.info with this ticket number #146101 and the purchase code so we could look into this matter.

Thanks, Alex

Hi there,

I am trying to figure out why the taxes addon is not adding tax to the “Extras” under services. I have tax enabled and it is adding tax to the main service but not the addon when I add it. Is there something I am doing wrong?

Do the taxes also work with “service extra’s” add-on?

Thank you for your response!

Our extra’s are having a different TAX than the service itself. So the service itself has 0% and the extra 21%.

Is it possible to make this work?

Thanks in advance!

Hello,

Thank you for your message.

Currently, there is no option to set up different taxes for the extras. You can leave your request here: https://ideas.booking-wp-plugin.com/boards/feature-requests and if it gets enough votes, it might be implemented in the future release.

The tax will be included into total price for the appointment.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

Ok Bookly…I was loving yall, but you have officially pissed me off…and I’m mad I’m just seeing this, because I probably would have looked for another alternative…Sooooo let me list the following plugins and addons that I have and then tell you why I’m so upset…

So obviously I purchased Bookly Pro

Then here are the following….

Bookly Coupons (Add-on) Bookly Service Extras (Add-on) Bookly Deposit Payments (Add-on) Bookly Service Schedule (Add-on) Bookly Stripe (Add-on) Bookly Cart (Add-on)

Now these total up to about $300 with the inclusion of Bookly Pro itself….

So as I’m looking to add the location piece, I see that you are charging $39 for the “taxes add-on”? Are you serious? We have to pay to add taxes as a line items? You would think that would be included in the “Cart Add-On”....before, I felt like these were all compartmentalized necessarily for what may or may not be needed to run a business…but to charge $40 to add taxes to an already beefy system seems a bit much…that could have been attached to the cart add-on or added in the system automatically Bookly Pro Itself…I was excited and spoke highly of you all, but this has taken me back for a moment.

I really did understand the pricing and the fact that it can get costly with all the extras because it’s a flat one time fee compared to the alternatives that are monthly…but this is really throwing me off right now.

Hello,

Thank you for your message.

Over the last few years we’ve included dozens of new features in the default configuration, which makes Bookly standard version one of the most feature-rich booking plugins in the market.

The decision of releasing some functionality as add-ons was a part of a long term policy and was made after a careful analysis which showed up features used by less than 30% of our customers. We believe that the default configuration fulfills the majority of our customers’ needs, and a comprehensive collection of paid plugins can meet any special requirements.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

Thanks!
