Hi. I am testing out the custom domain functionality of the system in the demo. However, whenever I try to add a domain, I get the error “The name format is invalid.”, the domain is already pointing correctly, and I see the frontpage of your demo when I visit my domain.

VAT MOSS is a scheme. Not really sure what do you mean by that. If your question is whether you can collect the VAT for customers located in other European countries, the answer is yes – you can do that, and report it to your local authorities.

Keep in mind that the business model of this product is Business to Client, not Business to Business. At least in this current version. We’re currently in the process of redesigning our payment system and we might add support for B2B in future versions.

You need to use the Larave’s nginx rewrite rules for it, see: https://laravel.com/docs/6.x/deployment#server-configuration for additional details. Keep in mind that we’re not able to assist you on this matter any further, you must be familiar with Nginx, and the way its rewrite rules work.

Guest URLs stats are not being tracked. This is preserve your server’s resources for registered users instead, otherwise what would be the incentive for someone to sign up, if they had access to stats and other features anyways.

Quick update. We’ve implemented a case-insensitive check for the bad words filter. We’ve sent a silent update with the changes, which will be documented in the next major release. In the meantime, you can re-download the package from Envato, and re-upload just the /app/ folder if you want to benefit from these latest changes.

Sorry but I do not understand your question. What do you mean by “domain.com/public/index.php”? You’re not supposed to have a ”/public” path in your URL. If you have, your website is insecure.
You can set a custom index to your website from Admin > Settings > General.
As for reporting links, the users can report links trough the Contact form.

This is described by the section 3.4 in the Documentation, which is marked as important. You should have not installed the product, until you configured the root directory of your domain, to point to phpShort’s public directory.
If you don’t know how to do this, send us cPanel access, and we’ll do it for you.

The language direction needs to be set at the language level, in the language file. The variable responsible for this is called “lang_dir”, and can be found in the .json language file. The possible options are “ltr” left-to-right and “rtl” for right-to-left direction.

Anything is possible, as the source code is completely open and unencrypted. By default, the software comes with the plan options that are presented in the advertising materials and on the live demo.
That being said, I’d suggest against such an idea. There’s plenty of free URL shorteners available online that offer unlimited redirects for free. If you’re going to compete against them, you should definitely not limit yourself with a click limit.

No. The license is per domain. You are not allowed to install the product on two different domains.
That being said, phpShort has custom domains support. This means that you can add additional domains which you can use to shorten an URL, if that’s what you’re after.

2. No, you do not have the rights to resell the software. You do have the rights to sell your website (with the software installed on it, you must inform your client about your website using phpShort, and provide them with the license key). Pre-sales question. In the demo site I tried to configure a country-based redirect. I’m in Canada and the main link was Google, but I set Canada to YouTube. When visiting the URL in another browser I got Google (expected YouTube) and the stats did record me coming from Canada… Is this a problem with the demo or did I misunderstand the setup?

The process you’ve described is correct, however I’m not sure what exactly could cause you not to be redirected.
Could you do a screen recording on the live demo on how you’re creating the link, and setting up the redirect link? Please also show the Stats section of that link, to confirm that your IP is indeed being detected in Canada (after you’ve accessed the shortened link).

Stripe refuses to work with this script and I have not violated any of their policies. They just consider this type of script HIGHT-RISK. Please, refund.

Please reach out to Stripe in regards to their service, as we’re not able to provide support for Stripe’s service. If they consider your website a high-risk, perhaps there has been some strange activity on it, this is something you should clarify with them.

I have reached out. My website is clean and had no issues. Stripe never said I had violated their TOs. They just told me they consider this script HIGH-RISK. I can provide their letter where they say it is not my website or activity that made them suspend my account but the script and business overall. You should either add more payment processors including cryptocurrency or refund. I am not able to use the script with extended license with stripe because of it.

If they said your Business is high-risk, they probably have good reasons to consider it as such, see: https://stripe.com/docs/disputes/match for additional details regarding this matter – there are tens of reasons for why your account could have been terminated.
I highly doubt they used the “script” word, that’s just not a common word to use.
Again, this is not something we’ll be able to assist you further, this is something you’ll have to clarify with Stripe.
Nothing in their Terms of Service states that this type of software is not allowed

That being said, we’re working on adding new payment gateways, however they’ll be available at the end of Q2, 2021, as previously said in the Comments section.

Well, you can doubt anything but the reality is that Stripe states “Stripe can only support users with a low risk of customer disputes”. It is a script issue now that allows me to work only with Stripe that actually is not letting me work with them. It is not something about my website or me violating their terms. I can provide a few letters I received from Stripe here so that others would see and avoid future issues that will result in your buyers losing hundreds of dollars. In those letters they state they are not open to working with this type of business. So the issue is that I am not able to use the script with Stripe. I need to have more payment processors now or get a refund. DO you think your buyers are ready for major issues with the only payment processor you provide in the script?

Some servers (with cPanel on them) require their PHP version to be specified in the .htaccess file. You can check this by enabling a different PHP version first (it will write you a new .htaccess file on your server), and then manually updating the .htaccess file with phpShort’s rewrite rules.

Sorry, we won’t add this into the Documentation, as this is not the cPanel’s default behavior, nor Apache’s default behavior (which is what the Documentation covers). If your server is configured in a way other than what’s supposed to be out of the box, that’s something you should be aware, and responsible for.
As for the additional language, as written on the advertising materials, the software only has the english language included.
