Pre-Sale Question about WAIT-LIST Add-on— We have Bookly with the Group Booking add-on so that we can sell fitness classes on Specific Days (Special Days add-on). We only use Special Days and only sell classes (services) that have a maximum number of customers available for booking for each class.
For example, we have an Intro Class on Sept. 20 at 6pm (Special Day) with 9 spaces available (for this Group Booking). When 9 spaces are booked, the Sept.20, 6pm slot no longer displays on the booking page. We get many, many calls from customers asking if the fitness class has been cancelled. The class on Sept.20, 6pm is shown in greyed out font with a cross thru it. So, it does look like it is cancelled. It should display in a font that is NOT crossed out (at minimum). It the customer hovers over that time slot, a tip should display saying this class is “Full”.
I am considering the Wait-List add-on but based on the documentation at your website, it is NOT an automated wait-list. The instructor MUST approve a waiting customer—as a manual process.
Other (competing booking software) automates the wait-list by sending an notification to the first customer that joined the wait-list. If that customer responds to confirm their booking within a specified time (say 1 hour), then the available slot is filled. If the customer doesn’t respond within an hour, then the next customer on the wait-list is sent a notification… and so on. So the customers are motivated to join a wait-list as soon as possible, because it increased their chances of getting into a full class (if someone cancels).
Does Bookly have any plans to update the Wait-List add-on so it is automated—as I describe above?
Hello,
Thanks for your feedback.
This is a feature we haven’t implemented yet. However, we’re constantly working on improvements and value all feedback. That’s why we’ve created a Feature Request forum: https://ideas.booking-wp-plugin.com/. The forum is where we track requests for new capabilities, and our product development depends directly on the number of votes each request receives. That’s why we encourage you to record a request that best fits your business needs.
As regards to the crossed and greyed out full timeslot, perhaps as a workaround, a message is added in the Time step via the Appearance section in Bookly that it’s full if the timeslot is greyed and crossed out and they can book and added in the waitlist.
For additional questions or concerns, please send us an email to support@bookly.info with this ticket number 134901 so we could look into this matter.
Many thanks,
Richel

Hi, Im having some trouble getting the add-on to work correctly in the front-end. I have several diff. types of treatments that can be booked from the same staff member but the waiting list seems to only work if the customer chooses the exact same type of treatment as the one already booked? ex. one customer books an oil massage 60min. another customer wants to book an oil massage for the same time and will be allowed to que. if the other customer chose another form of massage for 60 min then the que is not available. Am I missing something in the setup or doing something wrong?

PRE SALE – Hi I have few pre sale questions: 1- when a slot become open in waiting list does the first client on waiting list automatically booked ? 2- does system send emails to all waiting list’s users to invite them to take new free slots? 3- if not who is attributing slot to a client or another? Admin? 4- Is there webhooks that allow a developper to do the 2 first points if they are not built-in features
BTW do you provide paid custom services? Sending email to user in waiting list is something we could probably finance. Also we need a way to limit slot not only per day/month… but per ticket. Says limit a user group to book only 10 time a slot with 1 per day.
Hello,
Thanks for being interested in our products.
Please have a look at our documentation regarding the Waiting list add-on: https://support.booking-wp-plugin.com/hc/en-us/articles/115002875053-Waiting-List-Add-on where you can find the description of the product and its features. Once you activate the add-on you have a list of necessary email notifications that you can set up accordingly. Basically the add-on meets your requirements but I recommend you to have a look at the demo before the purchase to be sure this is exactly what you need.
In case you want to check the plugin with all its add-ons on a live website, I recommend checking our sandbox mode. In order to have access to it, please access this link: https://www.booking-wp-plugin.com/demo-list/ and add your email address there and click on the “Configure” button. After that, please follow the rest of the steps that you’ll receive on your mail.
In case you want anything additionally to be customized, currently, we are overloaded with development tasks and are not able to take any customization tasks. But we have a partner which deals quite good with such customization requests and has a lot of expertise in dealing with WordPress products – WP Kraken.
Please follow this link https://wpkraken.io/?ref=bookly, click the “Get a Quote” button and explain your requirements.
Please take into account that if you customize the plugin, you will still have access to updates but won’t be able to make an update without losing the customization. We also do not provide support for customized versions of the plugin.

Olya

Unfortunately the waiting list is very ambiguous. Maybe not to you, because you are looking at your own systems all day and you know the ins and outs, but ask a regular person and see what they think of it.
On the booking calendar it is not crystal clear for the client that they are going on a waiting list. You need to add a pop up notification which explains that, because at the moment it gives users the impression they are making an actual booking. The brackets alone are not what the average person calls crystal clear.
Yes there is an email notification but comes a little too late because until that point, the customer has already checked out thinking they have made an actual booking. Please understand the general public are not programmers and they just want something easy or else they take their business elsewhere.
Can you please ask your programmers to include this function? It’s pretty much everyone’s request in this section and we don’t want to wait a couple of years until it’s up-voted enough in the features request forum.
Hi,

Hi,
We apologize for the delay with the answer. The last week was really tough for all our team. Thank you for your patience.
1) No, they aren’t required to pay in this case.
2) Currently, this feature is not supported, there’s no option to charge afterwards the customer.
3) The staff members (and also administrators) will be notified when the customer cancels an appointment and the time slot becomes available for booking.
4) Yes, this list can be printed/exported.
5) Yes, there are separate notifications for the “waiting” status.

There are so many comments I wish I could upvote…as I’m dealing with the same issues after purchasing your items. However in particular with the waiting list You guys should make it CRYSTAL CLEAR for the clients booking that they are going on a waiting list. Some CSS or something that pops up a little notification that says ‘this time slot is already taken and you are going on a waiting list- we will notify you if there is a cancellation.’ something to that effect. The ambiguous brackets does a disservice to us providing the service and the clients who we serve.
Anyone who is thinking of purchasing, PLEASE take a look at the demo [ https://www.booking-wp-plugin.com/demo/waiting-list/ ] and wait until they take some time to make this addon more clear. It feels like it was rushed and hastily created just to make more money, not to actually help their customers.
I do want to add I am happy to have the Bookly plugin. It is a worthy investment. Just this particular add on feels rushed.
Hello,
Thank you for the feedback!
We did our best to make it clear which time slots are occupied and which are not (the message above time slots pointing on that). I advise you to create a new record on our Feature Request forum: https://support.booking-wp-plugin.com/hc/en-us/community/topics/200189331-Feature-Requests . In this record, please, specify what kind of functionality and (if possible) how the functionality is supposed to function to satisfy your needs.

hello… i love your plugin but i have a questions;
1. My site is about optical glasses shop. I want to add booking system where clients can order service which call VIP home testing System…I want like few fields like what you have Name mobile calendar pick and ofcourse the location so we can easily send our driver to customers place.
Now the question is; I want when anyone book any time, the first customers will get reserved and once he booked already, an auto message will show in booking sytem that BOOKING IS NOT AVAILABLE NOW YOU CAN BOOK AFTER 47 HOURS… but the client will book it till after 47 hours finish will get his turn…
This is because we have only one driver so we dont want any customers will waist time …..
2. Google map add location can be add? so client can fill where they lives?
Can your booking system handle it? if so i will purchase it..
Awaiting…
Hi, thanks for the interest!
1) Do you mean that you want to provide the option for customers that book an appointment – the possibility to book the actual appointment in the next 47 hours? Currently, this option is not supported. There are padding times, that can be used to create breaks between appointment, though still it’s a little different from your inquiry. Unless you create a service with a duration of 2 days, and customers will book a 2 days time slot and you will need to phone the client to decide on the actual time when the driver will arrive at the customer’s place.
2) You can use the google maps address add-on for this inquiry, with this add-on customers will be able to fill in easier their address without the need to fill in manually each address field in part.
Thanks!

HELLO..
1. Yes i need suppose anyone book today lets say from 5:00 PM, the booking system will no longer avaialble for book unless 47 hours passed because we have only 1 driver will handle the job…after 47 hours passed will be available …
Or Can i create booking availability for only 1 for 47 hours? lets say if i book then in booking form message will show the message; WE ARE NOT AVAILABLE FOR 47 HOURS after any other client want to book?
by adding manually booking avaiblilty is no problem… All i want, to set only 1 booking.. after he books the online form will show; WE ARE BUSY FOR 47 HOUR Pls fille as under your required info will reach your once will be available so after 47 hours willl over, his turn will be on.. somehting can be done?
Hi,
Not really, there isn’t such an option, you can add this text in the booking form and it will be always displayed, but there’s no option to display it conditionally. The only thing you can do is to create a 2 day service and the plugin will just display the available time slots (in days instead of hours).
Thanks!

ok thats sounds good but to ensure myself fully understanding; After i setup Only 1 Booking for 2 days availability; and there is a client lets say Peter booked and he received confirmation everything done on process…
now there is another client David wants to book, what he will see? NO BOOKING AVAILABLE ?
Hello,
The booked time slot will not be available for David unless the service has a capacity more than one.
P.S. Capacity is part of Group Booking add-on (https://codecanyon.net/item/bookly-group-booking-addon/21344225?s_rank=14) and defines the minimum and maximum number of customers allowed to book the service for the certain time period.

Hi! With this plugin, is it possible to limit the times a service availability? For example, I have a tout in a palace, and I only want to offer this service to the first 25 persons that send the form. Then, block it and say “next day more”.

Yes, you will need the main plugin and also the group booking add-on for this case. Here you can check the group booking add-on: https://www.booking-wp-plugin.com/demo/group-booking/

Hi, Your waiting list /recurring Appointments add ons are not working properly. With recurrent bookings and multiple attendees bookings like group yoga classes or group meetings, despite the number of available places at the room it automatically sends the persons to the waiting list!!!( even if it is a single person booking). From the second booking in the room on it sends straight to the waiting list. It is not well coded/programmed. It should go to approved booking and when the room capacity is full then activate the waiting list. I have reached your support several times for this basic and nonsense issue with the only response that this is not supported. Please fix this!
Hello there,
I have an issue with waiting list Bookly addon and I don’t understand its main function:
Without waiting list, everything is set up, all the services, available time slots and it displays perfectly on the given page.
This is how I want the time slots to appear: Show calendar – NO Show blocked timeslots – YES Show each day in one column – YES Show time zone switcher – YES
As I said, everything is perfect here. It is easy for the customers to see the blocked time slots and the available time slots, in no time it is crystal clear for everybody which time slot is free and ready to be booked.
When I switch on the waiting list addon, everything is messed up.
It is not possible anymore to see on frontend which time slot is free, which one is free as a signup for the waiting list. Some timeslots are blocked completely illogically when the waiting list addon is switched on and the biggest problem is that almost all of the otherwise blocked timeslots are ready on frontend to book. But why?
The most important function of the booking is gone when the waiting list is on, e.g. to show a clear booking calendar for my customer. They will not know anymore what is in and what mean what. I do not understand either.
When I bought the extension I read the description. It said waiting list is only available for the administrator on backend and it is not ready for frontend. I would love to have a front end solution but I must say that it is a big disappointment at the moment, I have no choice, I have to disable it because it is simply everything but not logical. Is this normal operation or a bug? As I said, I really want a clear, logical front end waiting list solution, but this is not is. What can I do? Should I wait for an update? I do not want to believe that such a great plugin comes with such a poorly executed addon. Best regards Aron
Hi Aron,
The last release of the add-on provide the functionality for the front-end. Customers can book appointments and will be put in a waiting list, which means they will also be added to the same appointment that will already and will have the status “On the waiting list”. To join the waiting list for a busy time slot on the front-end, please select a slot marked with “(N)”, where N is a number of customers on the waiting list.
Thanks!

Hi Alex,
Thank you for your answer but still I can’t get my head around its function. Would you mind giving me an answer to the following questions, please?
1. When waiting list addon is enabled, how does a customer know which appointment is free and he/she is booking it for real or booking it is just nothing else but adding him/her on the waiting list? How can the booking calendar retain its main function of being clear which time slot is already booked and only the waiting list possibility is available, or the time slot is free so real booking is available. How customers will know which one is which? How customers will know one time slot is a busy tim slot, or it is not busy? Or else, this clarity is gone with waiting list?
2. Why is it that some time slots are bookable with waiting list disabled and not bookable with waiting list enabled? I cannot see any logic in this. This seems a bug to me.
3. Isn’t it possible to show the booking calendar on one page without the waiting list when it is enabled and show the booking calendar WITH the waiting list function?
Regards Aron
Thank you for making this clear in advance.
Hi Aron,
1) If the time slot is booked out, the time slot is marked with “(N)”, where N is a number of customers on the waiting list. You can look into the add-on’s documentation via the following link: https://support.booking-wp-plugin.com/hc/en-us/articles/115002875053-Waiting-List-Add-on
2) Could you please send us an email to support@ladela.com with this issue (provide us please with some additional explanation on it), ticket number #54784, your purchase code as well as provide us access to the admin panel, so we could look into the issue.
3) I am afraid I am not getting the question. Could you please explain what you mean?

Hello Kirill,
1. OK, I get the message. The only difference between an already booked busy time slot and a free slot is that there is an (N) where the N is the number of people signed up for the waiting list. Other than that, there is no difference. Both (busy and free) time slots are bookable. They look exactly the same, both bookable, the only difference is the brackets (). This is really misleading and ambiguous.
OK, if this is the case, is it possible to change CSS and give the timeslots different colour? Say, all the free timeslots (no brackets, no number) should be green, the already booked busy timeslot (bracket and number) which is still bookable for waiting list should be red. Could you please advise me how to modify CSS to reach this colour coding effect?
2. With the second issue, I will provide you with detailed explanation and credentials to the admin panel.
3. I would like to use the frontend waiting list function but at the same time, I would like to retain the clarity of the booking calendar. Clarity means that it is obvious and crystal clear for anybody looking at the timeslots which timeslot is busy and which is free. As it turned out you chose to include brackets and a “N”. This makes the whole calendar so hazy and unclear. I think it was a bad decision to choose this implementation of the desired waiting list function.
What I want is both. I want a clear booking calendar which looks like the booking calendar when the waiting list addon is disabled. I like this look, it is clear, obvious and it will not lead to misunderstandings concerning the booking. I also want the waiting list function but it should be a separate page not incorporated into the booking page. I thought separating the look of both should be appropriate but now I think using colour codes could be a better solution of showing a clear understandable booking calendar to my customers.
I know, with the present waiting list look, everybody will be confused. They will not know whether the bookable timeslot is busy or free. They will not know if they are signing up for a real appointment or just on the waiting list. Very confusing!
So all in all, I am asking if it is possible to use different colours for the busy and free time slots.
Regards Aron

how does this works with booking. i checked the sample no idea
Hello,
The idea behind the add-on is that when a time slot opens, a notification is sent to the service provider with the list of customers in line. When the service provider clicks the relevant link next to client’s name to approve an appointment, the customer’s status will be changed from ‘on waiting list’ to ‘approved’.
I advise you to look into the documentation for add-on: https://support.booking-wp-plugin.com/hc/en-us/articles/115002875053-Waiting-List-Add-on.
You can also try demo (both, front- and back-end): http://waiting-list-demo.booking-wp-plugin.com/demo/
