So it’s not possible that it works with buddypress by default. I suggest you to integrate it to buddypress (youzer in particular), because there is a huge demand for this solution and nobody on this planet has it.

Hello again, i’ve embedded the video normally now but tapping the fullscreen button on iPhone still does not work correctly. I’ve sent you an email through the support form with a link to a video showcasing the issue.
On IOS there is no native browser fullscreen support, this is why is not working, it is a browser limitation.
If you like to use the default IOS video player functionality when playing to go fullscreen and use the IOS default player instead the browser inline video element set in your preet playsinline to no.

Integrate youtube, dailymotion, ... source in player search for logging user. So any logging user can search a word in the player and the results from youtube (or anyother source) in the playlist tab. When the user click on a video, the player play the external video without reload. Of course these videos from the results will never be save in the local website. Thanks

You don’t understand well. The idea is to allow search on youtube. So if a user do a research in your player. If no result in the paylist so the player will show result from youtube. The user can then click on any result to beginning playing the video directly inside the player. So search a video on youtube and play the result directly from your player.

I purchased the Ultimate Video Player Wordpress Plugin on December 18th 2020. I really like it. I have a question about changing the colors on the player. I tested the color red and would like to set up the player on my website with that look. How can I change the colors on my player like that? I tried to do it from the preset options, but was unsuccessful. Am I missing something. Please respond.

Hello Tibi, I didn’t want to come again for questions, but I am having trouble changing the thumbnail text from white to red. I watched the video that you shared and followed the instructions. When I updated the CSS file after making the changes, the text stayed white. I tried several times and can’t figure out what I am doing wrong or not doing. I updated the playlist settings and main playlist as well. Making the color code change in CSS is very simple. It’s just not working for me for some reason. Can you help?

This video player looks like a dream come true for my BuddyBoss-based social network and LearnDash-based online learning site. I especially love the ability to add a logo watermark and implement ads. If I understand correctly, you can also create categories and tags of videos and then use those to create playlists!
I don’t however see support for WebM file format though, which I’ve read is the ideal format to use, followed by MP4.
I would also love to see an option to have the captions pop-out just below the player and scroll with the audio like in LinkedIn Learning, particularly so that students can easily make notes – brownie points if clicking on a section of the caption text will cause the video to rewind/forward to that part.
Speaking of which, I didn’t see anything about creating “chapters” of a video that can then be viewed as a table of contents in the same window as the playlist. Can users “like” or “save” videos into their own playlists too?
I don’t know if H5P is a necessary integration, but if it is I’m already using H5P too.

About categories, it is possible to crate as many playlist as you want, thik of them as categories and yes you can tag a specific video with a shareble link.
WebM is not fully supported by all browsers so it is not a solution yet, only .mp4 is a solution for now, all big boys are using it, including Youtube or Facebook.
About captions is a good idea and I will try to implement this in a future update as well chapters.
H5P is not necessary.

Yes! Adding an option for scrollable and selectable captions, along with chapters and a Table of Contents, alone, would make this the player of choice for online learning sites!
I would like to see support for wordpress’s built-in taxonomies attached to the videos themselves so I can run searches with filters, create archive pages, and use categories to dynamically funnel related videos to BuddyPress social groups and users with the same categories (for instance). Likes and saving features would also help to further personalize the UX and open up community-based content curation opportunities.

Mp4 is supported on all browsers, you will only need a single format mp4 and you are good to go!
About the other stuff I am doing my best, UVP is a beast as it is, I have to be careufl to the new features that I will add because if there will be too many it will become too difficult to use.
I will add chapters 100% , it is on my list for some time but I just did not had the time to do it.
I have also noted your requests and I will try to address them asap.
WIth all this beeing said I can guarantee that you will not find a better player than UVP, too much passion and time was invested in it,I am working on UVP since 2006

Oh yes, that’s my biggest gripe with many complex plugins and it would be hypocritical to then expect everything in one package. I like the use of add-ons to extend plugin capabilities so that the basic features are included in the main plugin but then more use-case specific features are offered as add-ons. Great way for additional revenue as well and nobody can complain about bloat, complexity, or even lack of features when “there’s an add-on for that!”
In any case, this looks like a great plugin and I really appreciate all of your work!

I brought two of your plugin, but this not a simple install. No documentation, so i research and find your youtube video. I start the installation for ultimate and got so piss. the volume is so low one cannot hear what you are saying. Please update video for installation and setup with much better volume. UVP has many features, some clients get overwhelmed, but once you starting to understand it is easy to use.
About the video tutorial I agree is not perfect and I will not hide this, when I recorded the video I was very sick, I was actually dying, I was bed bound from 2014 until 2018, more death than alive because of Lyme disease. The doctors did not give me any change to survive it and they did everything possible to help me without success, I was getting worse and worse to a point that I was unable to speak or move… Now I am recovered 100% against all odds.
This is why my voice is fragile in the video but you shuld be able to follow it and yes the video tutorial is a bit outdated and I will create a new one asap next year.
On a positive note you have the best video player on the marketplace in your hands and I am here if you need my help, I am the brain and developer behind it.

Unfortunately I could not find an easy way to add support for annotations in the WordPress version, I am still working on this… and I will do it asap.

Thank you for your prompt reply. I do backup my whole site but in future it would be useful to be able to backup the playlists incase I would need to reinstall this only if they get messed up. Also, I changed the size of the right side playlist (Thumbnail width and height) however it also changed the size of the categories images on the category window. Agree this is important, the issue is that I am a sigle developer that manages 40+ plugins and a theme and right now because of WordPress changing the rules in each update is impossible to keep up.
For example in version 5.6 the plugin tooltips used the jquery-ui which was not updated in more then 5 years, now they released a new version and it dose not work anymore, it has serious bugs… so I had to write my own tooltip library and add it to all plugins this took me almost 3 weeks and I am not done, there are still a few plugins that I have to update… as developers we are going trouhg a very difficult time with the WordPress migration to something more modern and I believe it will take 2-3 years until things will get more stable, right now each WordPress update is a horror story
I am doing my best believe me and at some point I will add this functionality as well.

Please do not misunderstand, your work is greatly appreciated and I can understand all the stress of the Wordpress changes. It is not easy by any stretch and they are annoying keeping changing so much. About the categories, the category screen which shows the category image with title, the size changes when you change the size of the playlist thumbnails maximum height and width in the Playlist window settings tab. This is good for the thumbnails in the playlist on the right side panel, but for the separate category screen this also changes. Is there a way where the ‘separate category screen images’ is not affected by changing the right side playlist thumbnail maximum height and width sizes? and/or can change just only the size of the category window images. Hope this makes sense

I was putting together the screenshots and realised it was my bad. The thumbnail max width & height size in the ‘Playlists window settings’ tab changes the category window image size. It is in the ‘Playlist settings’ tab that changes the max width & height size for the right side playlist panel which is what I was trying to achieve. Many thanks for your patience and my apologies for my misunderstanding. It is working exactly as I needed
