Is working with new API ? can import others profiles ?

The plugin is not using the API, but a different method to get content from profiles. User/password is needed in plugin settings to configure the plugin.

Autoposting to IG works only if your server’s IP address is not banned at IG’s part. They banned many IP addresses, and multiple servers have issues with posting…

In case of the error you get, it seems that Instagram banned some IP addresses of which they knew that they are IPs of web servers. It seems that my web server’s IP address is also banned at them.
Using a proxy in the plugin’s ‘Main Settings’ -> ‘Web Proxy Address List’ will make it work.

Instagram API https://www.instagram.com/developer/I checked and indeed, Instagram changed the posting method and I need to update the plugin to make it work again with the new changes they made. I hope that I will manage to find a way to fix this.

We need to post to multiple Instagram accounts. We are going to change Instagram login details every time before the post is published. Is that possible to extend like that functionality of your plugin? Is it going to work in theory?
Also, what about stability, I know Instagram has a lot of restrictions nowadays.

Unfortunately, this is not possible to be achieved using this plugin, it can post to a single account at a time.
Also, yes, Instagram is very restricted, and I am not sure if they will allow multiple login attempts from the same IP address, so I do not think that adding multiple account login will work without serious modifications to the plugin, like multi proxy support.

Plugin will not post to instagram, I get the “We Detected An Unusual Login Attempt” error… every single time.
My server is in San Francisco, USA, I am Auckland, New Zealand. I have tried logging in about 20 times now, and some of the various login tricks, its still not working.

This issue is popping up when your server’s IP address is blacklisted at Instagram’s part. It seems that they banned some IP addresses of which they knew that they are IPs of web servers.
Unfortunately, the only option to fix this is to find a server where the plugin works or to change IP addresses of your current server.

Hi Szabi, I’m testing Instamatic (from mega pack) but only the last IG post from a specific user could be posted to WP. It does not post anything older than the last post
I also tested on your demo. The same thing happens. It ran successfully and posted the last IG post and no other IG articles can be posted from the same IG user.
I delete that post and it ran okay and posted again the last one.

- Is the plugin up to date with all the lates changes from IG? If so, are you planning to maintain it in the long run? This is a great plugin and any blog would rely and be very dependent of it so it would be great to have that reassurance from you. - Is it possible to import posts from a specific IG user that also contain a specific hashtag and ignore posts that doesn’t have the specific hashtag?

1. Yes, the plugin is functional. I will also maintaining it. However, unfortunately, I cannot guarantee it’s functionality indefinitely, because the plugin uses unofficial methods to access and upload images, which might become unavailable in the future. However, I will do my best to make them work, on the long run.
2. Yes, the plugin can import media from specific users, also, it is able to use a set of ‘Required Words’ that must be found in the imported content, so these will be posted. This feature can be set to the hashtags you are after.

Hi, I am running wordpress automatic plugin. It’s a plugin to auto-blog from RSS feeds. Now I am using Instamatic to automatically pull these feed posts into Instagram posts. Problem is, not all posts are being pulled into Instagram. I wonder why is that?

Instagram might limit the number of posts per a specific time period. So, if you publish too many posts in a short period of time, it might not accept all of them, because of this.

My posts are generated at rate of 1 post per hour using cron jobs. it’s already 29 hours (I already have 29 posts), your plugin has only pulled total of 7 posts into instagram. I know for a fact that instagram’s guidelines for new account is 4 posts per hour. I am only doing 1 per hour. =/

Please go to plugin’s ‘Main Settings’ and check: ‘Enable Logging for Rules’ and ‘Enable Detailed Logging for Rules’ checkboxes -> save settings. Let the plugin run and send me the logs when they appear.

This is because Instagram requires a specific aspect ratio for images.
If images does not fit these requirements, it will not be accepted for posting by them. Because of this, my plugin automatically resizes images that do not fit these requirements, to make them to be able to be posted to Instagram.
In some cases, this might result in stretching of images.
