Yes, it looks like the characters you are using are not supported by base64 encode, in the filemanager plugin > front_settings.php remove all base64_encode and decode functions and try again.

Yes you can disable google docs viewer by going to the plugin folder and find filemanager_string.php and comment the line which starts like this:

You cannot see the parents paths if they are not assigned to you. You can only see the paths hierarchy of all the folders that are assigned to you.
Everytime I try to update the wp-config file within this plugin, it adds escape characters. Please advise. This has happened on multiple different servers.

I try to add directories to user role Subscriber and it’s working ok, but if I try to add directories into new roles created it doesn’t show any error but directory isn’t added.
Demo version of plugin i can force a root personalitzed directory. I want this in pro version because I can’t allow admins can see all wordpress directories when they want to show our directories or when they want to assign permissions.
Some solution or way to fix this?

In guide i see that in Admin section there is a way to assign some folder to one user. Is there a way from a folder to assign it to more users at the same time?
You can assign folders to one user at a time, or you can assign folders to user roles, like subscribers if you want to choose all the subscribers.

The plugin will work anywhere where you can add a shortcode. You can choose which users, or user roles get access to which folder.
Disable are automatically disabled based on permissions, if a user doesnt have permission to upload files, the upload icon will be disabled, and so on.
Ok, but i need to add this shortcode as buddypress menú option so all user will be access directory manager with the same shortcode call. I don’t know if there are some settings to manage permisions to every folder (for my client the most important this is to assign permisions by buddypress groups) . if i only can assign permisions using a specific shortcode with ids isn’t valid to be usefull for us.

I understand than into “User Groups”section i will have all Groups created with buddypress, because we have already a lot of defined. Thank you for your help and sorry for the insistence. There aren’t almost plugins with this features than we need and we are using one with very large time of loading and its inconsitent. We are searching someone with same features but more useful for our users.

By groups I mean wordpress user roles, if buddypress is not using wordpress roles to make a group then filemanager wont be able to find it.

By default everyone see one folder, by their username. You can just go to users under the filemanager menu and find your username and assign any folders you want to view.

You can use icons view instead of list view if scrolling is not convenient. The UI is a third party library, hope it will have a better mobile display in the future.

I just read several support comments about it, especially the support they saw with the user “exemplarmike” (1 year ago), and we already understood that notifications are only received by the user in case the adm uploads a document in their folders default.
On our platform, we will have 3 types of users: “Supra-administrator” (owner), “account administrators” (each with their own folder, without access to other folders) and “standard users” dependent on an “account administrator “(only with access to your administrator’s master folder, no access to other folders). We need to configure the notifications in some way, so that they are received by the supra-admin (every time someone uploads a document, in any folder), and a notification to the account administrator if the supra-admin uploads a document to your folder. Could you help us?
Another question: In case we change the default folder of each user, and one is no longer created for each new record (as you indicate in the support area, modifying in .php), is a notification sent? Or does the system stop notifying users?

A client of mine uses the file manager plugin. After installing the website from my local environment (with nginx) on the production site (apache 2) the download of the zip archives wasn’t working anymore. After a lot of research (hours spend) I found out that in the elFinderSession.php file a check is made to overcome a apache bug (fixCookieRegist). This check does an “ini_set(‘session.use_cookies’, 0);”. When I make/download a zip archive from a folder the PHPSESSID changes on the request to download the archive, causing that the system cant find the file anymore. After uncommenting the “ini_set(‘session.use_cookies’, 0);” line everything was working again. The bug with the multiple Set-Cookie headers returns, but at least files can be downloaded again. Can you check this out and come with a fix for this? Thanks!!

I havent came across this bug before, is there any way I can reproduce it? Also try enabling ZipArchive library in php modules, the default zip library sometimes causes issues sometimes.
Like I said, it happens for me on apache2 with php7.2 enabled. I don’t manage the server so I’m not able to install the ziparchive package. From the research I don’t think that will solve it.

The files are stored on your server, usually in the wp-content folder inside wordpress root folder. But this can be changed in the filemanager settings.
There is no file upload size limit, even if there is a server upload file size limit, there is a work around in the filemanager called file chunks, which you can enable in the settings page.
You can generate shortcodes in the filemanager settings and show it in the front-end for users. You can restrict folders, read/write/upload access etc. Also every user automatically gets their own unique folder by their username inside uploads folder, so you dont have to create a folder for each user.

Yes users can have individual folders, they are generated automatically for each user. They are called “default folders” in the filemanager.
You can assign those folders to a teacher and that teacher will have access to those folder to upload file etc.
There is an option to send email notifications to a user when a file is uploaded to a user’s default folder.
Similarly there is an option to send email to users when admin uploads a file to the user’s default folder.
The only thing is there can only be one admin email where the email is sent when a file is uploaded, it cant be sent to each teacher assigned to each class.
Teacher’s email is already hidden, users wont be able to see it.
Email notification by any email you choose in the dashboard.
There is no content type restriction for uploads.
