As hot fix open file in editor file main.js from Map Markers plugin
Find line:mapTypeIds: [google.maps.MapTypeId.ROADMAP, 'map_style']Replace with:
mapTypeIds: [google.maps.MapTypeId.ROADMAP, google.maps.MapTypeId.SATELLITE, 'map_style']
Save file and upload plugin to your website.
Or you can wait couple days. We will add options to select map type.
what if me want to create two options “map” and “satellite”?

You need add stores, cinemas etc manually.
Map Markers uses Google Maps Places API to find your location coordinates by entered place address in WP admin.
Map java and Places API are enabled and working. Thank you for your help.

Shortcode can be inserted to any post, page or WP custom post type .
but can I display geotagged posts in Map Markers?
Hey, it’s s really minimal and has well thought-out design. I’m using this to display record stores on a map. And the carousel feature allowing you to swipe through and then filter by category makes the plugin perfect.
There’s no problem with this at all.
The API key is set up correctly. But I’m now waiting for my ‘token’ to propagate on my DNS to prove I’m the owner of the domain in which the plugin is installed.
Until that propagates I have no actual map google function. But that’s not connected to the plugin. It’s an issue I gave to work out with my host and Google.
Well done on a fantastic plugin. I’ve been though many others and said no. As soon as I saw the functionality on this it was obvious it’s the best.

I have no restrictions on API and API is added in the settings.

Please check your API key has enabled Maps JavaScript API and Places API.
Also open Google Console -> visit IAM & admin -> Quotas page
and check if your API service hasn’t any Limit.

My quotas are not reached, but the problem still exists
Check if API key hasn’t restrictions for domain name or IP address
yes there is indeed a restriction for the two fields concerned (the fields indicated are the right ones)
”*.domain.name” – check pattern it should include all pages on your website.
Also check if in your site API key is the same that you set for Map Markers plugin (in HTML source – check script src for google maps js)

I guess you can’t remove google logo in left bottom corner.
About places (restaurants…) we can hide it via google map API, but we need to implement this option in plugin.

If you mean small Google logo bottom left – it will be always because Map Markers uses Google Map API.
Or you have some error with API key?

If you need other Map you must rewrite show, hide and other functionality for it.
