Hi, I have a problem using your Javascript with one which I use with a menu (jquery-1.5.2.min.js). They don´t work together. Is there a solution for such a problem?

I have the same problem as described above. Unable to see your live preview or my own showgallery on IE9 in my windows 7. Can you please check it out? :confusedsad:

Update (again): When I used the non minified version of jquery.showcase.js it worked on all PCs. No error. Interesting.

It was caused by the minify file by YUI compressor, I’ve fixed it update showcase.min.js file, now it’s available.

Update: I am able to now see my gallery on IE 7 and IE 8 (on a windows XP machine) but if I test it on a another one at work, also windows XP running IE8 , it does not work. It didn’t work on windows 7, IE8 either. It just kinda reloads the page or tries to go to the root of that directory. For instance, when I open: http://2.s3.envato.com/files/28851381/index.html and click on the “Click to open Popover” it directs me to: http://2.s3.envato.com/files/28851381/ (no index.html) with a 403 error (same as in my last post).

It does not work on my neighbor’s PC either. Your live preview of this plugin does not work on my IE7 or 8. But when I uploaded the deploy folder as is to my server, it worked for me (but not the work machines).

When I test the popover samples http://2.s3.envato.com/files/28851381/index.html in IE 7 and IE 8 I get an error page:

The website declined to show this webpage HTTP 403 Most likely causes: •This website requires you to log in. What you can try: Go back to the previous page.

It works fine on the embedded gallery, just not the pop up. I couldn’t get my project to work in IE 7 or 8 either so I wanted to test yours to see if I was missing something. Thoughts?

Hi Sike

Thanks that’s fixed it, I’ve just posted feedback 5 Stars! Not just for a great script but excellent support as well.

Cheers Lee

HI Sike

That fixed most of the issues (thank you ;) however when you close the light box window the video continues playing? Anything we can do about that?

Thanks Lee

Hi thanks your feedback, I’ve fixed it and sent you the latest files.

Hi Sike

Dropped you an email

Cheers Lee

Email replied.

Hi Sike

Can you let me know when the update will be available with those fixes?

Thanks Lee

Hi, it’s in the update queue now. You can drop me a line via my profile page. I can send it to you now.

I see it mentioned twice above in the comments, and I saw it on the demo as well— the video doesn’t “unload” (or stop) when either closing the pop-over, or advancing to the next slide.

This would be unacceptable to play ANY video in my opinion. It creates a moment of panic for the site visitor, which is completely unnecessary.

Hi, thanks your feedback, I’ve fixed it and upload it now. The update source will be available soon.

On the popup window when you cycle though then go back to the vimeo video you cant start the player? Also when you close the light-box the video keeps playing?

Any ideas? Great script though!

Thanks Lee

Hi, I’ve fixed and upload it now. The update source will be available soon. You can drop me a line for it if you want it in a hurry.

is it possible to embed the slider into a page more then once? Thanks

Hi yes, the demo page shows it. :)

on my IE 9 the video is not working. once you play a video then proceed to click the next thumb option, the video will not stop. it plays in the background. the thumbnail changes but the video keeps on playing, if you play both video, they both play…. :( . Even if you close the popup window, you can still hear the video playing.. only way is to completely close IE window.

happens to the demo on here as well for me in IE

email sent.

Hi, please just download the source file again, not it’s the update version.

i notice the demo popup doesn’t pop in the middle of the browser. I click a link while reading to the bottom it pops above and hidden in view.

How can you reference the same banner with different links? I want to bring up the same popover banner with different links on the same page, but with i link to the same ID=”” the second link will not work. Is there a way around this?

Hi, you can just open the panel via javascript:
$('#link1').bind('click', function(e){
    panel1.popover();
    return false;
});

$('#link2').bind('click', function(e){
    panel1.popover();
    return false;
});

Lets say you have 25 thumbnails on one page, could this work as a gallery ?

Hi yes, but all the thumbnails is showing now.

I’m sorry to ask you that but could you send me a page with 5 thumbnails on it to show me what I’m doing wrong, because I wasted my whole weekend

Has the AutoSlide been added?

I think you’d get a whole lot of new buyers if you somehow got an autoslide function in there. You should prior it since it’s a very common function these days and it brings the page about a thousand percent more alive.

I’m going to try get an autoside function by tonight, but since most people can’t I’m asking you to do it aswell.

Fantastic file overall, you sure have put alot of time and love into this.

Hi thanks your feedback, I’ll try to implement it and add it in the next update. Just a little busy these days.

Regard

One Issue I notice is that the thumbnails will trail downward when I have a lot in there, say 20. I have the thumbs set at 86×86 and can’t add more than 8 without it breaking. Can you add a down/up arrow so an “unlimited” amount of thumbs fit inside?

Hi – great plugin! I wish I knew how to get it to work on my wordpress install…any suggestions?

Hi, you can upload the files to your web server and embed it with the absolute address.
