1) Our plugin is an addon to `Contact Form 7`, it does not implement the form generator and does not include any scripts and styles to the open part of the site (only the administrative panel). The plugin can work in two modes of sending to Pipedrive: immediately when sending a form or `WP Cron` with a slight delay. Given your question, option `WP Cron` is suitable for you, which does not create a delay when submitting the form.
2) In addition to the main fields of the form, you can also use special shortcodes to, for example, send information about the page from which the form was submitted. https://contactform7.com/special-mail-tags/
3) Together with the deal, you can transfer a note. The plugin does not automatically generate a note, you just need to specify everything that should get into it.
4) Yes, the plugin supports working with custom fields of Pipedrive.

“Advert / Promo Code” deal field – the field is a list so that the selection works correctly, in [promotion] one of the values that are in the field should be transferred.
For example, list “Advert / Promo Code” contains the values – 111, 222 and 333. If the value 222 is passed to field [promotion], then the selection will work, but if, for example, 4444, the selection will not work, since this value is not in the list.
Field “Lead Source” is also a selection and works similarly.
As for the content of the “Note” – please provide a screenshot of what you get in pipedrive.

So, please also delete the value [utm_medium] for field `Lead Source`, otherwise, when [utm_medium] is not empty, the selection will not work.
What data do you pass to field [promotion]? For the selection to work, you need to pass in field [promotion] one of the values that is in the list.

I have removed the [utm_medium] for the Lead Source now.
The promotion code could be anything, the promo code changes depending on the publication the ad had been in. Should I use a different field for this? Not sure if the drop-down selection for this field will work for what is needed.

Yes, in this case you should use just the text field for promocode. Please change the field type in the Pipedrive or add a new field. After that, forcibly reset the field cache – just re-save the settings where you filled `API token` (also the cache is updated automatically 1 time per day).

Unfortunately, this problem is not created by the plugin itself, since it uses the built-in WordPress method `wp_remote_post`.

So, this version curl is very outdated, it was released more than 6 years ago. It contains many problems and vulnerabilities. The first thing to do is update curl.

So that was just the first of the possible reasons.
Well, so as not to waste your time solving problems on the hosting, I just added a “no request” license check if the site could not make a normal request. Please install the latest version and just try to check the license again, activation will simply work (as if everything was successful) if the request is not completed again normally.

Hello, thanks for your work on this and the very helpful thread. For me, it’s working ok, but only a person is coming into Pipedrive, nothing else. I saw comment above about enabling logging, but I can’t go back to the set up page I had when I first installed it – i tried deleting and reactivating, but the old settings just carry through. I also tried the above after emptying cache. What should I do? Thanks

Generally if the lead is created by the webform, it also created a note beginning with “Created by Web forms using following information: .... ” and the details of the fields.

When setting up a form, you can choose what you want to create in CRM – deal, person & organization, activity or deal & activity.
Creating a note works for types – deal, person & organization and deal & activity. You also need to specify the data you want to get in a note, using text and field shortcodes. The plugin does not form any basic note – you form independently what should be sent.
The plugin provides you with the fields and you decide what data and in which field will be sent.

Organization (Owner) – this is the user ID from your Pipedrive, if not specified, the value will be automatically set based on the owner of the API key. If you want to specify a value, then you need to use the user ID, and not his name.
Organization (People) – You can send through this field the number of employees in the organization if you request this information in your forms.
Deal (Creator) – works by analogy with `Organization (Owner)`, as a rule most do not use it.
[gaClientID] – You can use it if you have Google Analytics installed on the site and you use this data in analytics. This value is obtained from cookie `_ga`, which is recorded by Google Analytics script. Hey, your COntact Form 7 / Pipedrive plugin worked great, but I think it’s not working anymore with the latest WP update. I disabled the plugin and my Contact Form 7 submissions work now. Will there be any update? I LOVE your product. I’m the one who left you a kick ass review.

Looks like it’s working now. I don’t know what the problem was. I enabled it, then tested it out and now it works. Maybe there was a plugin conflict that required me to deactivate then active your plugin.

If I understand correctly, you get in PD text [your-message] instead of the field contents. This can only be due to the fact that you use the shortcode – but there is no field with that name.
You will see a list of shortcode fields at the top of the tab `Pipedrive CRM` when editing a form – they are located below the text “In the following fields, you can use…”.

Thanks for the great plugin. I am looking at purchasing another license for a new project.
Could you please confirm what the outcome would be if a deal, organization, activity etc is submitted for a specific person that already exists in Pipedrive. Would a duplicate entry occur or would it update the existing Pipedrive record for that person?

So, the plugin always tries to find the existing `person` (by name / mail) and existing `organization` (by name) if there is data. If the `person` exists, then a new one is not created. That is, for example, 2 forms were sent to create a `deal` and at the same time the `person` mail was the same – as a result, there will be 2 deals related to one `person`.
Also, the plug-in previously did not know how to update `persons`, it simply searched for the existing one and missed creating a new one, using the existing `persons` to connect with the `deal`, `activity`, etc.
I have already added the ability to update `person` data (you will see the checkbox on the tab `Person fields`).

Unfortunately, there is no way to make requests even less secure. You have too old version of library `openssl` installed. This is now very, very rare. Also using the old library is a security violation.
You can also consider the option of changing the version of PHP to a higher one, since most likely it will use a newer version of the library and the problem will be solved by itself.

Hi! We have noticed that some deals do not make it into pipedrive. In one case, an organisation was created but no deal. Is there any way to fix this or at least get a warning when deals are not pushed successfully to pipedrive?
