Looks great! Is it easy/possible to use with Wordpress? I have no php but have decent html/css.

There is a Wordpress version of this script, just look at my portfolio. Cheers

Can this slider do an autoflip as well as a flip by clicking the arrows or the bottom circle navigation?

It can flip only by clicking the arrows, the pager at the bottom or by dragging with your mouse/finger.

Hi nickys:

First of all, what an awesome plugin! Great Job!

I’ve got a question: It’s possible to flip the first page when the page is loaded. I mean, i’d like to flip the first page, cause is just a single image, and the main text is on the second, third, ...

I tried adding this line ‘root.showNextPage();’ before head close tag, in a single script, but it doesn`t work.

¿It’s possible to do that anyway? Thanks!

Yes, it’s possible. Comment out line 216 and right after it paste this:

currentPageSide = $(’#flipper-page-0’).find(’.flipper-page-right’); currentPageSideOverlay = currentPageSide.find(’.flipper-overlay’); root.showNextPage();

Cheers

Can I use a pdf file?

Nope, just HTML .

Your book on your demo site mentions video but there is no video within the ebook. Does it support embedded video such as YouTube content etc?

That’s a bit tricky/buggy, so I decided not to include support for videos until I figure out a good way to implement it.

Great package. Is there a way to go directly to a specific page(s) outside of using the pager, such as with an “href=”? Can such a link be done from one page within the Flipper to another page within the same Flipper? (could be used to set up a small table of contents).

Thanks.

Hey, There isn’t such a functionality out of the box. If you know some JS maybe you can do it. There is a private function that you need to call in order to go to page X.

Great work!

Just downloaded the plugin. I’m trying to make a free interactive childrens book for the iPad.

Can you help me changing the settings so that I only see one page of the book in portrait mode (not the background) and 2 pages (no background) in landscape mode?

Sorry, I normally charge for customizations (just like any other author here) but even in that case I can’t help because I don’t have any time right now.

Cheers

Exactly. I’m worrying if your script does has any serverside coding that required online or apache to run. Just to confirm again, a browser with all the files in CD can make it run smoothly from the CD. I’m sure there is some changes required on the setting, would you be able to assist/advise on that without custom work charges? Thanks.

Yes, if you have any questions on how to implement this plugin, you can use the support forum.

Cheers

Hi nickys, It’s not really an ebook. It’s brochure for a customer who wants to distribute his products. So I think a bookflip on a CD could be a great idea. So can your flipbook works on CD offline? Thanks.

It will work anywhere, as long as it’s in a website. The script doesn’t require any server-side code if that’s what you are asking.

Cheers

Hi nickys,

Can I use this script to prepare an ebook that able to browse from CD without going online. I want to make it something like offline CD brochure. Thanks.

Probably it’s not a good idea to be honest. If you are going to make an ebook just make it PDF .

Hello,

I am interested to purchase this.

I noticed though that on a smartphone, when viewing the demo page, that I can not use the smartphone native sliding to move the page up and down vertically if my finger is over your slider. Finger needs to be outside the slider, but this is not always possible when the page is magnified for viewing.

Is there a way to fix this. Or maybe your slider already can, but the demo page doesn’t have the correct settings for it?

I haven’t found a fix for that yet. I know it’s kind of annoying when you are zoomed in, but I’m working on it.

Would be great if you come up with a solution. I have looked at a number of sliders and they all seem to have the same issue. Or maybe it is really an issue with the smartphones rather than the coding.

Is there some way of staying informed of any updates?

Indeed, it’s an issue with many sliders have. The thing is – in order for the flipping with a finger to work, I need to override the default touch events. Once I do that, it won’t scroll.

I’m not sure I will be updating this issue, I still don’t know a fix for it.

Can it be set as an automatic slide show…?

Nope, there isn’t such functionality. If you know JavaScript it’s easy to do though.

Can I use FLIPPER as a portfolio presentation in a CD?

If your portfolio is in a website, sure you can put whatever content in the flipper.

Hi! I’m interesting by your plugin , does it support html5 video in its content?

Video and any moving/interactive content is a bit tricky right now, I will be working on it for sure in a future version.

Hi Nickys,

Thanks for your response.

Hello….it’s possible add pictures as pagination?...thanks.

No, not in the current version. You could do it, but not without some JS.

It’s a good idea, I will try to include it in the next version.

thanks—i will check it out.

Hi Nickys – LOVE this! My links inside the flipper work perfectly on a laptop or desktop – but they don’t work on my tablet or I-Phone. Perhaps you might suggest what I did incorrectly? http://www.beeskneesshop.com/calendar.html Thanks! m633

Hi,

Please use the support forum for questions regarding support. The link is in the item description and in my profile. Thanks!

Hi,

I have a book I would like to be converted using the flipper, but it does not have the conventional left to right flip, it is actually up and down. Would the flipper support this?

Hey,

The plugin doesn’t support vertical mode by default. I can do it as custom work, if you need a quote please send me an email.

Cheers

Nice one, glad you got it approved.

You’ve got a nice little portfolio coming along.

Really excited about it, thanks! :)
