Hi Krishaweb,
We have a query and hope that this plugin can do what we need it to do. So basically we have a number of users who will be assigned passwords for our website. After 6 months we want to reset the password for all these users and send them an email but we also want to export the passwords to a list so we can keep track of who has which password can this be done with this plugin?
Hi,
Thanks for showing interest in Mass user password reset pro, it can reset password and send email notification but I’m afraid that it won’t export password list or track passwords of users.
You can use plugin like https://wordpress.org/plugins/export-users-to-csv/ to get the user details.
let’s say we do a mass reset password for 2000 users. do the email servers put us on blacklist or spam once we are sending email blasts to everyone?
Hello,
Mass User Password Reset Pro is sending mails using simple wp_mail function. So, you can use any SMTP plugin for avoiding the mails getting into spam.
Hello I’ve paid for and installed the Pro plugin however only a couple (two) of the 10 users are showing under “All”. How do I ensure all users are displayed to force reset the passwords?
Hi paulreid,
Can you please share your website details/credentials with us at support@krishaweb.com?
Hello, We installed the free version on our website. Our website has a public and private side. We only needed to create user accounts for the private side. The plug-in is not visible on the Network admin side. Only on the public and private side. When we tested with one user, the user doesn’t get an email. We want the user to get an email with a link to change their password. Will the free version do this? Thanks
Hi there,
To get an email with a link to change their password, you’ve to use our pro version.
Thanks
Hello i tested the plugin with a 15 users, but i got an message : 2 users password have been reset successfully.
why only 2?
Hi,
Can you please share screenshot or if possible send us website credentials at support@krishaweb.com ?
Hello krishaweb, I installed the free version of this plugin from wordpress.org repository. It worked great when I tested on a WP install that only had a few users. Then I went to deploy it to my live site which has 19,000 users and the reset password admin page would not show up, it displayed a 500 error. I believe this is because loading all these users exceeded the memory size of my site. So I’m asking a pre-sale question. Would this ‘Pro’ version solve my memory size issues? Does the admin page have pagination or something that would be prevent it from failing to send emails to 19,000 users. Thanks.
we will implement the feature in our next release and notify you once it is published. Thanks
Pro version has the pagination in the admin side. You can move ahead with it. Let us know if you face any difficulties. Thanks
This is awesome! Thank you
Hi Krishaweb – a good add on to this plugin would be a way to throttle the number of emails being sent. Most web hosting companies keep an eye on the number of emails being sent out and have a maximum number of emails per hour at which point they red flag you and block these emails being sent out. Having a way to send these out slowly would be a huge asset to this plugin.
Sure, we will look into your suggestion and will try to implement this feature in our plugin. Thank you for the feedback
Hi Krishaweb, Once my customers reset their password they are redirected to the Wordpress login page, instead of the customer account page. How can I direct Woocommerce customers that have customers accounts to that login, instead of wordpress login?
This plugin doesn’t compatible with woocommerce reset password link functionality for now. But we’ll include that feature soon and will inform you.
We have added WooCommerce reset password link functionality.
+1 for the feature as aitanamanagement suggested. I dont want to send all my users plain text passwords. Any updates on this krishaweb?
we are in process of implementing it
Thanks!
New update is available now
Hi there,
We like your plugin but we don’t want to send the passwords by email and instead would like to send a link so that the user can set the password by himself. This link should not lead to the {PROFILE_URL} of the user, but allow him to introduce directly (and without logging in) the new password.
We want the same behaviour when you setup a new account on WordPress and select that the user should receive the password via email. When creating the new account WordPress sends a link like this one: domain.com/wp-login.php?action=rp&key=YYY&login=YYYYY that once clicked by the user leads to a form where you can introduce a new password the first time you access the link.
We would like to reproduce this behaviour with your plugin: Not sending a clear text password, but sending a WordPress link that allows the user to reset his password.
We hope you can help us with this and update your plugin to add this functionality. It would be great to have a shortcode for this link so that in the email you can choose whether to send the new password or to send this link (or even both).
Best regards from Spain.
Yes, Thanks for your suggestion. we will implement this feature and upload it.
Hi there, We have added this new functionality, you can update it.
