Hi.
Any chance in the next update you can add a filter to allow front-end editing for Templatera templates? This way if a theme has a single-templatera.php template (you can use locate template to make sure one exists) templates can be edited via front-end?
At this time it’s possible to enable front-end editing via some more advanced code but it would be nice to allow front-end editing of templates in a more simple way. Thanks!

Templatera is a great addition! But there are problems: 1. after updating Wpbakery Page Builder 6.0 – the distance between rows set by me is not taken into account 2. Do not receive updates via WP-admin 3. I have expired support and I can not contact support. Why should I pay money when a plugin fails?
Hello, The templatera does not have an auto-update feature. You can deactivate and delete the plugin to install the latest version which can be downloaded from the downloads section of your account. Please make sure that you are running the latest version as it is compatible with WPBakery Page Builder 6.0 or more.

I did just that: downloaded the latest version of templatera, updated Wpbakery Page Builder 6.0. 1. My distance setting between rows disappeared. 2. I can not save a block from the page to the templates. Maybe you can check Wpbakery compatibility with Page Builder 6.0 again?

Hi. When I edit the master template the changes are not visible on the pages where i used the template. so i have to go to all those pages and reinsert manually.

Pre-purchase question. Using WPBakery in a theme I purchased here. WPB allows me to save and re-use templates. What does Templatera do that I can’t do now?
Hello, The templatera plugin has a feature which allows centralised editing of templates. You can edit a template and any change made will be reflected onto the pages where the template is added.

Is it possible to define a template in templatera and then echo it out in the theme, like somewhere in single.php ?
Hello, Yes, you can do so by using do_shortcode WordPress function and then adding template shortcode in it. However, some elements can only render when added via editor and hence will fail to render in such case.

Hello, To identify the template shortcode, you can add a template using templatera element and then switch onto a classic editor mode to locate it’s shortcode.

With the templatera addon, are the templatera based elements added as top level containers (or can they be)? That’s all I really want is to be able to add the custom shortcodes/designs I’ve already created without your VC wrapping them in rows & columns as it COMPLETELY throws off much of the CSS targeted at those items.
I’ve got numerous shortcodes that output the exact VC shortcode needed and work perfectly, but if I add those elements to the Backend editor, it immediately wraps them…I can include them via a theme template file to avoid that, but that limits where within the content I can add them.
Does your system avoid this since it is built by the same people?
Hello, The templatera element is added within a row element. Unfortunately, the elements cannot be rendered without a row element around them.

Well that is unfortunate. I realize they can’t be rendered without a row (and column) element, but when my shortcode already outputs ALL the required shortcode elements… row, column, etc, it makes no sense to wrap them yet again in another row.
As a self taught programmer with far less skills than yourndevs have I’m sure, I can’t understand why you all haven’t built the logic into your plugin to check if the necessary row and column shortcodes are already included in the output of another shortcode. I’ve seen countless people over the years request the same feature. If the custom shortcode’s output doesn’t include row/column shortcodes, wrap it, if they do leave it alone. I’m sure it would require a bit of output buffering in order to get the custom shortcode’s output, but seems as if it would be well worth it in some instances.
I need to create new post template and to set this new template to all posts is that possible using your plugin ?
Hello, You can set the template to all new posts under WPBakery Page Builder -> General settings -> Default template for a post type.

Hello, I purchased this recently and it works well and easy to use once you get the hang of it. One thing i noticed ever since I started adding global templates is that my site’s loading speed is affected. Can you advise?
Secondly, if I were to use a simple button and it is quick enough for me to just add in on WPBakery builder versus the option to build it on Templatera and insert this global template wherever I needed the button to appear..which option is faster for my website to load?

Hello, 1) The global template uses the same mechanism of rendering the content i.e. using shortcodes and it does not affect the site loading speed.
2) The global template can be used if you want to reflect the changes made to the template onto the page where it is added. If you are looking for such functionality, then you can directly add it as an element or a template without using templatera element.

I just acquired templatera, he immediately created a problem.

is it possible to defer loading template images until after a page is laded/rendered. Loading images in templates early (before render) is blocking and slows the load speed of my site.
Hello, Unfortunately, the add-on does not support deferring the images. However, you can check using any lazy loading plugin to load the images underneath only when the area is scrolled.

Whilst Templatera is awesome, anyone considering it should just buy it – it’s amazing. I have a feature request…
One thing missing (critical in my opinion) is Revision control, on posts/pages in WPBakery the revision control is handy as a backup. That seems missing for Templatera. There is a XML backup/export option, but it would have been nice if that run automatically so we can fetch an older version etc. Just wonder why revisions are turned off for this though.

Using the Ultimate Addons package with Page Builder. Specifically the “Advanced Carousel” module. We see that the JS isn’t executing in the templates for the carousel. What can we do to make this work?
Hello, The advance carousel is added by an add-on at your end and is not a standard page builder element. Please make sure that it can render via another shortcode, in this case the template shortcode used by the templatera.

I was expecting to be able to create and save a content block from within the actual pagebuilder and then recall it from the pagebuilder – does your plugin not allow this?
Your documentation doesn’t make it clear how to do this. I’m using the WP Bakery page builder via the Troma wordpress theme – does that mean Templatera is not compatible with it?
I’ve eventually worked how to use your plugin. The documentation is very poor in how it describes how to actually use the plugin.

My templates migrated automatically, but when I make changes, they don’t update across my website. Documentation says that any content edited within those templates should be effected globally, am I missing something?
