Hi, your work is really nice with always best UX for implementation! Sadly this time I have to say that your plugin is laking to many features to look serious. Let’s mention : WPML compatibility first, then analytics, and finally, what I’m looking for is a sticky mobile “bar” (I like to put it on top an display on scroll to top only).
Whit such features i would certainly go for it!

statistics should be used at first to see (most) shared posts rates. Other reasons could be considered probably, like which share option is most used.. see your competition to discover more. An additional appreciated feature related to this topic could be to give a widget & shortcode to display most shared posts.
- Also, something that converts better is offering the ability to display number of shares for all AND/OR single social network … but with a MINIMUM amount before displaying them. I’m more likely to use only total shares.
- Optionally for later, you could implement a popup option to ask to “share the post if you like it” with options like : display after delay, % of page .. max once every X times .. option to “dont show again”. Plus an option to force sharing content or wait X seconds, also displayed after a delay.. but that could be set for all OR only particular pages by ID.
See “Easy Social Share Buttons for WordPress” for more ideas. Their plugin is incredibly flexible, but also as heavy and the interface will make you crazy. But it’s definitely worth the check.

Need share buttons for website to be wrapped in a webviewer. No idea if yours don’t work (I tried the ”+” on others, ... error webpage not available etc.
What’s causing this kind of error? Note: the buttons work in mobile browser, but not in webviewer app. Any idea why? Any solution?

Almost all the share buttons I look at don’t work properly in an app (webviewer).
All I wanted is just a simple blog that looks like Instagram with one image and one row of buttons for Like/Share/Comment + whatever else you may invoke … Download media (possible?)

I see that option now in your demo but there’s a flaw. You can make it always stay on top of everything and requires for you to embed it on the page via Visual composer or shortcode. If you select Floating layout, the widget will move down as you scroll the page, if you select inline – it will be displayed in a fixed position at all times. Does this explain things?

How do you get the widget to display on all page though? That’s where this is confusing? Widgets are usually configured to show on specific pages. And your demo doesn’t let it ti stay fixed on the left while scrolling. it disappears while scrolling. Another thing is if you use the short code embed method, all that will cause is it to be embedded on the left side sure, but even with it floating it doesn’t look like it will stay fixed.Can you show a demo where this is on it’s own page or show up across multiple pages while scrolling

If you need the widget to display on every page of your website, you need to add the shortcode to your website’s template with the help of the following function – <?php echo do_shortcode(‘[elfsight_social_share_buttons id=”1”]’); ?>
If you need your website’s visitor to see the buttons at all times, you need to select Floating layout, and they’ll scroll along down the page.
If you need the buttons to stay in one fixed position at all times, you need to select Inline layout. However, with this layout, the buttons stay where you’ve placed them at all times. So if you add them to the header of your website, for instance, your user won’t see them when they scroll down to the footer.

The plugin is activated with the purchase code that is only available for items purchased at CodeCanyon, it is not available for items that are downloaded from Envato Elements.To get a purchase code, you need to buy a regular license.
However, activation is only required for automatic updates and support requests, and it doesn’t affect the plugin’s functionality in any way, so you’re welcome to use it without activation.

Trying out your demo site, I have noticed that there is a “Printer Friendly” social network that points to https://www.printfriendly.com/p/g/nYqbVz . I would like to use that icon but with a standard functionality without any online service, just javascript (window.print()
.
Is there a way to override that icon functionality with a custom one? or maybe create a custom icon from scratch?
BTW the “Printer friendly” button in your demo does not work, it opens a window with a time out notice.

We can implement the support of print functionality for you with a Custom JS code. We see that you’ve asked this about two plugins – Social Media Icons and Social Share Buttons. Do you need to use this functionality with both of these plugins, or with just one of them? If you only need one, you need to choose between Social Media Icons that allows you to add links to your social media accounts on your website and Social Share Buttons that allows your website’s visitors to share your website content in social media.

Couple Problems,
1. When you add this as a shortcode to your website and there are more than 1 line of social boxes, the last box is always 2 or 3 pixels lower than all the rest. This for me makes it unusable. I tried to CSS this out, but cannot locate a way to only affect the final box on all instances. Basically this one issue alone made this a waste of money.
2. There is no way to customize what they see when you hit share, so the information it pulls is often not what you want to feature on the page itself. There are better free plugins for just “share images”, ones that actually work without errors. Im not sure what justifies the pricetag.
