How can this be compatible with recent WP versions?
The custom post type have categories and tags?
Here under that plugin we are only providing custom post type creations option which dont have categories and tags for now.

How can we disable indexing of a specific custom post?
indexing is not related with this plugin. you can do no follow in robot.txt file or you can do it using SEO yoast plugin. feel free to ask me if you have any more questions.
