why i can not find hotel in near by places?? and please add search for sightseeing its too difficult to find !!!
Hi,
The problem why you can’t find ”Hotels” in the list of places is that Google Maps doesn’t provide such type of places. To find nearby hotels, you need to search using the type “Lodging” (a type is a category of places).
The list of places you see in the settings contains all the types allowed by GMaps, each type is a category of places. For example, you can find a hotel in the categories/types “Lodging”, “Night club” etc… You can even find a hotel in the category “Restaurant”. It actually depends on the categories selected by a user when adding a hotel to GMaps.
This is the list of all types/categories provided by GMaps https://developers.google.com/places/supported_types?hl=fr#table1
please add search for sightseeing its too difficult to find
- Can you please provide more details about this option.
Thank you
Good afternoon—quick question re “updates”
Should we download the entire bundle and reinstall? Thanks in advance.
BTW – the maps are working beautifully.
Hi,
Here’s what you need to do:
1. Remove the plugins you use in your website (“Progress Map”, “List & Filter”, “Nearby Places” and “Submit locations”).
2. Open the folder “progress-map-bundle-v1.1”.
3. Open the folder “codespacing-progress-map-v4.0” and upload the ZIP file “codespacing-progress-map”.
4. Open the folder “progress-map-list-and-filter-v3.0” and upload the ZIP file “progress-map-list-and-filter”.
5. Open the folder “Nearby-map-v2.5” and upload the ZIP file “nearby-map”.
6. Open the folder “progress-map-submit-locations-v1.3” and upload the ZIP file “progress-map-submit-locations”.
You won’t lose any of your old settings.
Thank you

My site:

Hi,
You need to convert your post coordinates from (56.1304°N, 106.3468°W) to (56.130400, -106.346800). Please use the form provided by the plguin to add the coordinates to your posts. The plugin wasn’t desgined to read coordinates such (56.1304°N, 106.3468°W).
Thank you
Hi,
I have made the changes but I can’t update my map like your demo map Single Post Map & Nearby Places can I have some support over it to configure that type of map in my site.
Hi,
Which demo map? Please be more specific and provide more info about your issue and what you need to do. I’ll be happy to help.
Thank you
Hi, I’m using this bundle to create a map with translations of selected locations with their pronunciations. Each location will have a few translations and a few audio files. The website itself has English as a primary language.
I have the following questions after today’s set up 1. I can’t edit the post to update the coordinates etc. I thought there’s a progress map form to show up, but I don’t see it when I’m editing the post.
2. I used the submission to test audio file, it was submitted but not shown on the map or the post. I do see the audio was successfully uploaded in the media tho.
4. If I use visual composer to make the post, the map will show the code from the visual composer under the map. Is there a way to edit the excerpt not to be plain text? I just want to show the formatted translation and possibly the audio (optional), like a dictionary
5. I can’t edit on the KML directly to update the database? I was planning to do most of the work on ArcGIS then export KML to import into the website, then attach more information… So far the KML can only show some pins, but I’m not able to make it display like a post
thanks for your help
Finn
Hi,
1. I can’t edit the post to update the coordinates etc. I thought there’s a progress map form to show up, but I don’t see it when I’m editing the post.
- Please make sure to select the post type “Post” in the field “Progress Map => Plugin settings => Post types”. Check this video for more info: https://codespacing.com/wordpress-plugins/progress-map/documentation/user-guide/#getting-started
2. I used the submission to test audio file, it was submitted but not shown on the map or the post. I do see the audio was successfully uploaded in the media tho.
- Please send me the link of your map to make a test. I may need your website login to see what happens in the admin. Please send me the login to plugin.progressmap@gmail.com and mention your username (finnw) in your message.
4. If I use visual composer to make the post, the map will show the code from the visual composer under the map. Is there a way to edit the excerpt not to be plain text? I just want to show the formatted translation and possibly the audio (optional), like a dictionary
- I’m not sure if you’ll be able to display the audio in the carousel items, but if you want to display a plain text, simply add an excerpt to your posts. The plugin was designed to display the excerpt before the content. You can read more at https://codespacing.com/wordpress-plugins/progress-map/documentation/user-guide/#add-new-location-to-the-map
5. I can’t edit on the KML directly to update the database? I was planning to do most of the work on ArcGIS then export KML to import into the website, then attach more information… So far the KML can only show some pins, but I’m not able to make it display like a post
- Please note that the content of a KML file cannot be translated to posts. The plugin will display the content of the KML file as it is. I’m not sure what you want to do but if you have more info, please provide them.
Thank you
Great work! I wish you big sales!
Thank you
Hi, I’ve sent you personal message with all the required credentials, but I haven’t heard back from you yet. The nearby plugin isn’t displaying any results and we would much appreciate it if we can get support on this matter. Thanks.
Hi,
The problem is a conflict with another map plugin you use in your site. That plugin loads an incomplete GMaps API that overrides our API. You need to deactivate any other GMaps API and use the one provided by “Progress Map”. It is complete and other map plugins can use it also to render maps on your site.
You need to check if the other map plugin provides an option in the settings that allows to deactivate the GMaps API. If they don’t provide it, you need to contact their support about that issue. They’ll be able to show you what to do.
Note: Our plugin provides an option for that. You can find it under “Progress Map => Troubleshooting & configs => Google Maps API (JS File)”.
Thank you

Nice Work,
Congratulations! Good Luck With Sale
Thank you
It appears I am purchaser #1 for the bundle. I’ve got the four components installed .. See it in the plugins Created a map .. the map displayed .. but when I went to add locations, it kept rejecting the address, or the lat/lon.
I’ve clicked through everything (I think everything) looking for a bit of guidance on how to get the map to appear on a page or within a post … the short codes
The API’s I have enabled from Google are Java Map and Places. Should I be enabling others?
Thanks, Christopher
Hi,
Yes you’re the first. Thank you for your trust.
About your issue, please send me the link of your map to check this.
Thank you
Here you go as map is displaying (and it might be I am not comprehending how to associate “posts” to the map in the map creation —https://securelytravel.com/test-map-page/
When you visit—I have the site’s Chat window open (see upper right) if you want to give me some real time suggestions.
Continued—Through trial and error I have a map rendering.
I have two issues that I can not resolve and would appreciate your assistance.
On the in-post map capability – I put in an address and it gives me errors, i put in a geo-coordinate (lon/lat) and it takes. Is there a box I am missing completely that will make the ADDRESS box function.
When the map is presented (IE or Chrome) it requires an “off map” click or action to render, when the map is moved same. When goes to full-screen, there is no map, as there is no “off map” area.
Once I have these to items resolved I can begin using the mapping function, as the presentation on screen is EXACTLY what I was seeking.
Thanks! Christopher

- Please go to your “Google Cloud Platform Console” https://console.developers.google.com/ and make sure to activate the libraries “Directions API”, “Geocoding API”, “Distance Matrix API” and “Places API”.
When the map is presented (IE or Chrome) it requires an “off map” click or action to render, when the map is moved same. When goes to full-screen, there is no map, as there is no “off map” area.
- The problem is that you’re displaying the shortcode between the HTML tag “pre”. Please edit your map and make sure the shortcode looks like:
[cspm_main_map]not like
<pre>[cspm_main_map]</pre>.
Thank you
Thank you … adding the additional APIs worked great … I’ll advise re the pre /pre we launched our first posting using the map feature.
https://securelytravel.com/country_briefs/securely-travel-synopsis-belgium-country-brief/Good afternoon – I implemented your recommendations and the lack of map refresh remains. I have verified that there is NO pre in place
[cspm_main_map id=”15932”] This is the belgium country brief page. https://securelytravel.com/country_briefs/securely-travel-synopsis-belgium-country-brief/Thoughts? Christopher
Hi,
Your theme hides all images and doesn’t show them unless you scroll the page. This beahvior affects the map tiles. To fix that issue, please add the following CSS code in the field “Progress map => Troubleshooting & configs => Custom CSS” or edit your map and add the same code in the field “Customize => Custom CSS code”, then, try again.
.lazy-enabled #main-content .codespacing_progress_map_area img {
opacity: 1 !important;
}
Thank you
Thank you!!!!!!! I will give it a try and report back. Enjoy your evening.
The CSS patch did not seem to work. So I noted your were adjusting the Lazy Load so I went into the theme and “TURNED OFF” Lazyload. Thank you for your assistance!!! As you will see, it works like a champion.
Awesome
