I wonder if I can use Mailwizz to send personalized email notifications – let’s say I have a MySQL table outside the Mailwizz system with content to be sent and individual interests of my subscribers. I would like to be able to send a weekly newsletter with personalized content based on these data. I was thinking about using JSON as described here: https://kb.mailwizz.com/articles/embed-json-feeds-into-your-campaign/ .
My idea is to use a tag as a PHP parameter and this way the JSON would return personalized data as I need. Is it possible to do it this way? [JSON_FEED_BEGIN url=’http://www.mailwizz.com/json-feed.php?subscriber=[email]' count=’5’]

The JSON or XML/RSS feed feature allows you to fetch new content from a location, so that’s one part.
The other part is that you still have to have those subscribers in mailwizz in order for mailwizz to create campaigns for them, record stats and so on.
Good news is that you can set mailwizz to import these subscribers recurring, from a url, that is, each day mailwizz can connect to a url of your choice and get a csv file with your subscribers and import them so you can send them newsletters.
So, part 1 is to import subscribers, part 2 to use xml/rss/json to send them new content.

Thanks, but let’s say that subscriber A (based on information in my database) is interested in cats and subscriber B in dogs. Can I call the JSON like this – [JSON_FEED_BEGIN url=’http://www.mailwizz.com/json-feed.php?subscriber=[email]' count=’5’] – so that my script knows the subscriber’s email and based on this information could send content about cats to subscriber A and about dogs to subscriber B?
Sure you can, assuming INTEREST is a custom field in your list, with cats/dogs value, something like this can be done:
https://www.yourdomain.com/json-feed.php?interest=[INTEREST]Which will load cats for cats loving people and dogs for dogs loving people

Hi, I just upgraded my mailwizz to version 1.5.7, when i try to update customer account or create new customer I get the error “Error 500! Property “Customer.birth_date” is not defined.” Even if Birth Date filed is populated correctly, there error still comes. I dont think Birth Date should be a mandatory field also.

Seems to be an issue related to a ssl certificate, maybe of the smtp server, i can’t tell, but you can try to renew that and if your server from where you serve images uses https, check that certificate too.

If you have difficulties understanding how to install it, hire someone to do it for you, but it really is pretty simple.
Related to the link you have posted, please don’t post links anymore, it’s not allowed. I can only tell you there is absolutely no standalone application better than MailWizz at this moment, we’re ages ahead of everything you can find on this marketplace but on others too.
This also comes with a price, complexity. Which means you have to spend some time to understand MailWizz.

When you import in mailwizz, we import the contacts as “confirmed”, but then you can send a campaign to these people and ask them to confirm, and if they do, you simply move them to another list automatically (mailwizz has these options).

Let me explain you in details how you can ask for consent from people who didn’t provide it so far, because i am assuming this is what you are after.
In mailwizz, for your list, you create a checkbox field for consent, and add proper consent text. Then you import people in your list and send them a campaign, in which you ask them to update their profile and check the consent box and once they do this, they have given you the consent and you can continue mailing them. If they didn’t give you the consent, you can, after a while, wither remove the subscribers without consent, or you can simply create a segment and email only to people who gave you consent.
At all these steps, your company info and all the legal info can be added in forms.
