Hi, im just trying to install it to iis 8.5 but after installation gives 404 error. Can you help about it?
Ps. I fixed this problem by editing web.config file. But i have different problem now. I’ll use this script as turkish. So anytime i used turkish chars like ” ı, ş, ç etc.” there is database error. I changed the database to utf8 but still getting the error.
Lol, i fixed it too the problem is default charset of your install.sql configured as “latin1” change it before installing the script.

Thank you for contacting support. I’m glad that you were able to solve the issue. I did not test this Purchasing system in IIS before but I believe it will work on most common web servers. Just a matter of configuration changes.

It only support English at this time but I will add the support of multiple language in the next version.
The only way to translate it into your language is by overriding the files and functions located from the third_party/xwb folder to the modules folder.

Thanks for your query. Apart from the disclosure note about shipping or taxes, you can display them on the purchase order itself, however it may require a bit of programming.
You should customize the code in order to add a shipping tax field. The template on cavasser update items are located in application\third_party\xwb\views\canvasser\update_items.php.
But do not edit that file directly. The proper way to override that template is to copy that file and paste it to application\modules\canvasser\views\. You can now touch the application\modules\canvasser\views\update_items.php to add your fields and functionality.
The controller of that canvassing process is located in application\third_party\xwb\controllers\canvasser\Xwb_canvasser.php. If you will modify one or more function on that file, please copy the function block and pase it into application\modules\canvasser\controllers\Canvasser.php then modify it.
Same process if you modify the model. It is located here application\third_party\xwb\models\Xwb_canvasser_model.php
And the javascript on that page is located in assets\pagescript\update_items.js
You might want to have someone knowledgeable to do it for you if you aren’t able to.

is it possible to restrict canvassers to certain product categories? For example say i have Company A (me), Company B (client 1), Company C (client 2), can i have different product categories and lists for each company B/C so they can only order items from the list of products assigned to them yet i as company A who is the Admin / Canvasser can update the prices, do the ordering and dispatch them to both companies? I am unsure if this is possible from the demo?

Thank you for considering this system as your ultimate support to execute your business process. And delivering the good news to you firsthand, Language is the first priority on my list as for the added features on the next version. I have been gathering more feedback on users so I can still collate all the enhancements needed for feature requests. You may constantly check back in as that will not be too far from today. Am working on some already.
As per your other inquiry, the current system has no restriction yet as to role and function of each user. They will fulfill what is assigned to their task and have the ability to function as who they are in the system. Let me know if I was able to capture what you wanted to happen as you are talking about separate companies who may have different admins too. The flow is focused on simple requesition to purchasing them eventually. Canvassed materials or product prices may serve as reference and purchase order generation basis, and not as something to be entered separately even without a request in place.
Let me know your thoughts.

Hi Jack just to give you a bit of background about myself i have a small IT company with a couple of customers and i work as a contractor for a main client, so i use the below application as an IT management tool:

basically the above IT system allows me to have many different companies, so i can assign tickets to Company A or B or C etc. Take a look at the online demo for ontrack and your see what i mean, you can use that for just your own companise internal IT support or for multiple clients, that is why i purchased it as it is very flexible and has project management and asset management, it is just missing a password manager and invoice / expense system but some of that the developer is working on 
Your application is perfect for a single company where all the staff from member to admin to purchaser etc is part of the same organisation.
What i am looking for is
1. To be able to have multiple companies using your application where each company has their own list of products for approval and their own members/heads where everything is separate so heads/purchasers/canvassers etc will only see products and users from their company.
2. Be able to have one user with multiple roles, this is so that if you have a very small company using your application say 4-5 people then you can have one person being the head of department and canvasser, where naturally in larger companies this would be split out to multiple people, this would make your application more flexible and scalable.
3. The main reason for having the different companies where everything is separate for each company is for privacy so everything is separate and it makes reporting easier as i could create reports based on what you have and filter them down by client. But also for my clients the service catalogs are different, so i supply laptops to one but not the other, different training material to different members, so by having separate companies and product lists i can have many customers (say 1 or 100) all using your system and just have one version of your application setup.
I know i could install your script for each client but i really do not want to manage multiple installs, i can handle this for the moment as i do not have a lot of customers.
Also you have a typo of “ot” which should be “to” on:

When i login as an admin i find the menu a little confusing regarding request/head approval / board approval etc.
Really great app, i guess for my user case the main thing would be the languages and multiple clients. With regards to the languages when you add this if you set it a way where if someone says i am from Iceland and what that language you can send a template where English can be translated into that language so you can then easier and quicker to get language translations in the future.
Oh one last reason for separating out the roles into privileges so you can assign one or many roles to a single user is mainly due to the admin function, if i have someone who will do the purchases and give them out this is needed so i do not give them admin access.
Also i don’t see an option to mark an order as delivered to the end client, the only way i can see to do this is to archive the request unless i have missed the option ?

Great input and feedback. Thanks for sharing. Well, as of the moment, my system may not really be clinging towards the direction of restriction as I may need a bit of revamp of the flow. Although all-in one systems framework are really highly ideal but still companies would have different goals and processes so it may not fit one way or another unless fully customized. There are already some few settings adjustment in terms of user creation/profile roles on my list of priority so hopefully to finish them for the succeeding versions.

What you have now is very powerful but with the additional permissions and ability to assign multiple roles to one person and multiple clients then your application becomes perfect for very small companies with multiple clients up to big ones using it internally 
If you ever want a beta tester let me know 
Also don’t forget to separate out the admin from all other roles as if i gave access to my staff and clients i would keep the admin function away from them, just to avoid people screwing around trying to “improve” the settings

I agree that access credentials are meant to be handled by the trusted and authorized individuals in any organization which is why admin has the ability to set up them accordingly in the first place.
