Currently, there is no option to choose default layout. You would need to modify /modules/portfolio/main.php in order to change default layout from 4 to 3 columns

on line 59 remove class”current” and add to mode_3. Replace “container-4-col” with “container-3-col” and replace thumb_h4 and thumb_w4 with thumb_h3 and thumb_w3

I am having the same problem as a couple of others. Namely that the portfolio thumb images, and also the Digishop thumb images are not showing up.
What was the fix for getting that to work ?

Is this only for single-picture? Or can you upload say 10 pictures and they work as a slider? “Click” for next picture, or previous picture.
Can you add custom fields when creating a new portfolio item in the back-end so that it shows up in the front-end? Or is the script encrypted?

In order to use Portfolio module you need CMS pro! You need one single image as leading image, and you can also upload additional images as well via editor. There is no slider, or custom fields

I have the same problem as @Designspire:
I changed the htaccess, the linking works fine. But i have a problem with thumbs. They don’t show it self at the front of the portfolio. The pop-up image works. All maps got CHMOD 0775

When you say featured, do you mean to have the banner with the word “Featured”?

I’m having trouble and can’t seem to get the Portfolio Module to show up. It installed correctly but under Menus, I see no option in which to select the Portfolio Module.

I am wanting to set the portfolio up like the gallery can be.
The Gallery (Menu) is linked to Demo Gallery (Page) which inturn has the Gallery Module assigned to it. This set up is great since I can add posts to it. Like your default setup has done.
Now the Portfolio (Menu) is linked to Portfolio (Page) but the page does not pick up the Portfolio Module in the “Edit Page” section.
Is this how you have set the module up?
If so what is the best way to get some text above the portfolio entries?

You can not. Gallery is a single page module, that gets assigned under pages menu, while portfolio is multi page module and needs to be assigned under Menus
