1. Is the plugin WP user aware, i.e. can a logged-in user send an email without having to input their details?

1. No! But it’s a very great idea omg, let me add it immediately on my roadmap (https://trello.com/b/3RQZmvLP/wp-chatbot). I’ll try to add this feature next week!
2. You are wrong! Check Bob : https://wpchatbot.io/demo/official/chatbot/messenger-with-sidebar-and-input/ he asks for your email, but you can ask for everything you want. A work, or 1000 words, an email, a phone number… But you are right if you thought about AI. The bot won’t analyse the content of the text to reply. He just asks, and goes on. I’ll work on AI in a second time, it’s not a hi priority feature for now.
3. Yeessss! A lot of users ask me for file upload. I didn’t think about it first, but it’s a great idea. I’ll add this feature in 2 or 3 weeks I guess (see the roadmap)
4. No! But it’s a very good idea too. I’ll think about it, and I’ll work on it if I think it’s very relevant for most users.

Thanks for the response. Will certainly consider this once 1) and 3) and chat box are implemented.
Concerning 2) Yes, I realise that the bot can record text but I did in fact mean AI. I know this is not a trivial thing to implement, but maybe expanding the current features to include the possibility for a dropdown field with options instead of just buttons, as sometimes you might have quite a few possible choices. That would be a good start. A free text field could initially also be limited to identifying specific key words.

Feature Request: Is it possible to make the answer-buttons responsive, too? I have 4 buttons and on small screen I have just 3 or 2 (with a scroll-bar). Would be better, if the button are sorted responsive, I think.

I used the same UX than Facebook Messenger Bot. I guessed it will be the way people will use chatbot button on mobile (right-left scroll). I’m not sure I’ll change that for now, but it’s something I keep in mind!
Yes, that would be great. If my button is a bit longer oder I use 3 answers, the customer does not see, that there are 2 options to answer. Maybe it is optioinal for a theme? Finally it is one code “float:left” and “width: 100%”. Would be great not to change it with every update OR you add a field custom CSS, that I can add the needed css codes

Hi Stephane, think there is a small bug with last update. The preview does not start (bot is opening, but stops with “waiting on message”.
BTW: The idea with the shortcode is great!
Suggestion 1: Is it possible to make the list of questions a little bit bigger than 0.7? I think the tab nav could be 30%, because the messages aren´t so long inside a chat. What do you think?
Suggestion 2: It is very easy to change the color of the background. Would be perfect to get one “main-color”, too, to change the color of the speech-bubbles.

Oh, and I have another idea (excuse me). The program sends an e-mail with the transcribed after completion of the conversation. That’s great. But I need the e-mail only, if the customer poses a question. The other “conversation” I know, yes 
Question: Is it possible to get an e-mail only when the customer has registered his e-mail? That would be great. Only then does the customer need individual support.

OK, now I understand 
1. You already can do that. You can ask first name, last name, email, or whatever you want, then send the transcript of the conversation by email. So you’ll receive each new conversation by email, and you would be able to reply.

Hummmm it’s not very clear in my mind for now. I’m not sure this is a good idea for the user. It’s kinda frustrating to type a sentence to a bot, because you leave the “confortable and scripted conversation”-funnel to a “omg, do my sentence will be clear for this stupid bot”-situation.
So, I’m yet thinking about it

Hi, I am testing it right now. I am not sure so far. As you said, it can be frustating, if the database of answers is not good. Right now I am using a fallback: if the bot has no answer it said: “Hey, I have to submit this question to our support. They get in touch via email. To which email they can send the feedback to?” (sorry, my english is not so good, in german it sounds better, I think).
So it is another way to engage people and to collect email. But I thik a connection to api.ai should to the same?! Maybe another workaround?
(Don’t worry, your english is nice! I’m not fluent too :p)
Yep, your fallback is great. It’s one of the most important “best practises” when building a boot : ALWAYS let people talk to a human in the worst case scenario.
But yep, I will definitively use api.ai if I decide to add the “real conversation” feature. I don’t want to code this by my own, it’s too much work for nothing.
But for now, your idea is the best thing to do :
1- Ask for the user’s mail.
2- Ask for the user’s message.
3- Send a transcript of the conversation to your ticket system (using your support email).
I don’t have anything better in my hat for now!

When building the bot, just click on “visual customization”, then select the skin you want => http://d.pr/i/ubnVCD then save. It will automatically use the good skin.
Then if you want to integrate the chatbot directly onto a page, just use the shortcode given in the right column of the page builder.

- About emails : yes, you can totally collect them. You can see them on your wordpress backoffice : http://d.pr/i/Bm9Ffd
or you can even send every transcript by email if you prefer : http://d.pr/i/x9OHWW
in the next weeks, I’ll add a Zapier support, Mailchimp support, etc… if you need to plug the chatbot with a third party service :))

Great to have found such a good looking, and well working plugin for Wordpress. I also want to use this as a form. Will you include different ways to respond, as Typeform does?

You are totally right! For now, you have to make a link to the chatbot. When people will click on the link, it will open a new page with the chatbot. You can also integrate the chatbot directly on your page, like here : https://wpchatbot.io/demo/official/demo2/
And yes, it’s PERFECTLY responsive on mobile. I worked a lot on responsive, to make the chatbot very nice to use on mobile, tablet and desktop. It’s a big deal!
