First off love the ProPanel! I have one question, is there is away I can use the color picker to edit the background?
Hey There,
Yes you can indeed modify the background color with the color picker.
The most basic implementation will involve editing your header.php file. You will then retrieve the value you’ve stored within your the picker and output it as inline CSS on the default body tag.
Here’s an example of the code:
$bgcolor = get_option('yourtheme_picker_value');
<body style="background-color:<?php echo $bgcolor;?>">
Hi,
Got a small question.
I develop free WordPress themes and plugins. Am I allowed to use your Options Panel, if I pay for an extended license?
/ Kenneth
Hey There,
Thanks so much for your interest in Pro-Panel.
The answer to your question is Yes. You can use Pro-Panel in a theme if you purchase the Extended License.
Please note that the Extended License only covers 1 application (1 theme/1 plugin) so if you plan to use it on a 2nd, 3rd, 4th theme you will need to purchase an additional Extended License for each application.
Please feel free to give us a shout if you have any further questions.

i’m trying to use this in a sub-directory in my theme. what would i need to change to accurately reflect this? the directory needed is…
“xxx/xxxx/public_html/wp-content/themes/mytheme/themes/child-theme/admin”
the child-theme dir can be called by using defined variable “CHILD_THEME_DIR”

Hi,
1. Is it possible to choose multiple categories? (I mean, there are 10 categories, and I want to choose 5 of them to display on the front page. )
2. Can I use this in my premium wordpress themes?
Thanks.
Hey There,
Thanks so much for your interest in ProPanel.
As per your questions…
1) The category selector can only select one category. This can likely be modified with proper PHP knowledge to allow for multiple category selection.
2) Yes this can indeed be used in your Premium Wordpress Themes however it requires that you purchase the Extended License.
I hope this is helpful for you. Please let us know if there’s anything else we can help with.

Hopefully it’s soon. Your competitor Wordpress AdminPage Class has had it for a long while and honestly I was quite saddened to see that your does not. I switched over because of the much better UI design.
Are you able to be hired to customized ProPanel? For this and 1 other task.
Hi There,
Our apologies, but we are not currently available for customization work. You might want to check out www.wpquestions.com – you can hire a wordpress developer for very fair price.
I hope this is helpful for you.

Any hope of getting the visual editor in there for a textarea?
Hey There,
We don’t have any immediate plans for a visual editor in textarea but we will definitely consider it for a future release.

Does anyone know if this code utilizes the Wordpress Settings API in its implementation?
Hi There,
Thanks a lot for your interest in ProPanel.
The ProPanel has it’s own proprietary code and does not use the Wordpress Settings API .
Please feel free to give us a shout if you have any further questions.

Heya,
As edyoung had already asked a month ago (see above) ...
... can this be used with a child theme?
Hi There,
Thanks so much for your interest in ProPanel.
Unfortunately this script is not currently optimized to work within a Child Theme. Very sorry my friend.
Please feel free to give us a shout if you have any further questions.

Hai there,
Can i check with you, instead of the setting falls under ‘Appearance’, can we a new tab like ‘YourTheme Setting’ tab? Does it need a lot of rework?
Hey There,
Thanks a lot for your interest in ProPanel.
This modification is indeed possible and you’ll be happy to know that it’s extremely easy to implement. It requires only changing a single line of code.
We’ve outlined complete instructions on the FAQ Page: http://bit.ly/zShGrp

Hi,
Is there any way to make it automatically reduce the size of the image upload instead of it already being to size?
Thanks, Terry
Hi There,
There is unfortunately not an image resizing script built into the ProPanel.
You might be interested in checking out this functionality. It utilizes Wordpress’ native image resizing capabilities and is very easy-to-use: https://gist.github.com/930234
I hope this is helpful for you.

I’ve just tried adding this, in my theme-settings.php I have
$options[] = array( “name” => __(‘Welcome Text’,’framework_localize’), “desc” => “Enter a short piece of text to display below your logo.”, “id” => $shortname.”textfield”, “std” => ””, “type” => “text”);
And in my index.php file I have
<?php $test = get_option(‘meme_textfield’); echo $test; ?>
But for some reason it is not displaying? I looked at the HTML in Firebug and it is in a grey color, see pic; http://i.imgur.com/3kwrc.png – the one
Also to make sure you’re not confused, I did define a short code name

Is there a license available so that I can implement this script into a premium WordPress plugin I’m selling?
Hey There,
Thanks so much for your interest in ProPanel.
ThemeForest creates the licensing so we’re unable to say with 100% certainty, but we believe that the Extended License should cover you.
If you would like to find out for sure, please kindly reach out to Envato/ThemeForest for verification. They can be reached via their support center: http://themeforest.net/support
Thanks again my friend. Please let us know if there’s anything else we can do to help.

Any chance of getting a reply from the email system? Rather disappointing support

Well it seems I can’t do that because I need an ID code, I haven’t purchased yet. I asked, if I buy the Extended License, can I use it in themes I intend to sell on ThemeForest but multiple times?
Hey There,
Very sorry. Yes please feel free to post all pre-purchase questions right here on ThemeForest.
As per your question, you can indeed use the ProPanel in a Wordpress Theme for re-sale, however this will require purchasing the Extended License. Also please note that the Extended License is only valid for a single theme, so you will need to purchase an additional Extended License for each new theme that uses the ProPanel.
I hope this information is helpful for you. Please give us a shout if there’s anything else we can do to help.

Hi guys, i’ve got almost everything working as i hoped for! However i’m confused as to how to display page title/content when select a page from select box in ppanel, how would i go about this?
Can i just say, not only is this one of the best files available on Code Canyon because it functions so well, but the documentation and video tutorials are fast to the point and extremely easy to follow. Thank you so much guys!!!!!!!!
Hi, Can I use this in a child theme?
I tried and the stylesheets and scripts are not loading correctly.
Please advise what to change in order to integrate the options panel in a child theme.
Thanks!
Thanks!
Hi
Just to make sure, if I create a theme and add in your options panel and then sell it on a market place such as this one, that’s ok?
But if I create another theme then I would need to buy another extended license?
Cheers Neil
Hi Neil,
Yes that’s correct. You will need to buy an Extended License for each theme you release using the Options Panel.
Hope this helps.
Cheers my friend
actuallya i wrote the codes I need… but those couldn’t show here well, I need some html tags like: “script” <<== this is the most important for me… “style” “align” “acronym”
Hey There,
If some of the codes do not render properly you may need to hard-code those into your template, and then place the text entered in ProPanel between those tags.
For Example, something like this would be coded into your theme’s header.php file:
<style type="text/css">
<?php $sample_css = get_option('yourtheme_sample_css_field');
echo $sample_css;
?>
</style>
I hope this is helpful for you.
Cheers my friend
