Overall I’ll give it a pass mark but I cant wait to get the new version.
I understand your view. Anyway if you want to test the new version (still beta), send me your email address at : support(at)rapidformfiller(dot)com

It crashes. And that’s really bad. Pls fix that and let us have a better version.
I’m working on a new version with stability improvements. What is your operating system ?

Hi, Cool script. It crashes after about 10 sites it scans. I started with a list of 100, crash. 50, crash, 25 crash, 10 ran. Any ideas? J
I don’t have crashes with 100 sites. Strange problem you have… I’ll make some tests.

It’s clear that this product only has one purpose, and that’s to collect and spam emails. Fortunately, email companies are getting better at blocking unwanted spam.
Why else would anyone collect a large amount of emails? The same thing could be said for collecting phone numbers.
Surprised this got approved, but whatever.
Maybe it teaches us all to use obfuscation better and hide the emails using whatever means.
<script type="text/javascript">
function noSpam(a,b,c){str="mailto:"+a+"@"+b+"."+c;window.location=str}
</script>
And must be called like that :
href="javascript:noSpam('contact','domain','com');"

I agree with others who think this is not bound to be used in a positive manner. Perhaps you should describe/market it differently. For example, you could emphasize the fact it will extract email addreses from regular web pages, text documents, etc. Will come across as less spammer-friendly
Just a suggestion, but good job, nevertheless.
I understand your fears, but as said above, the first goal of this tool was to extract emails from a personal document. I thought it might be interesting for others, not just for internet marketing…
I will add a feature to extract emails from a local file (TXT, RTF , DOC, ...).

Hmm. How about fuzzy strings? like contact [at] mycompany.com
This would be detected too?
In this version, no. But I plan to add this feature.
Beny
Feature just added, file in review.
These fuzzy strings will be converted : [at], (at), at, {at}, ...

Hello Rockstin316, Revaxarts & Phpexe,
I understand your view. Paradoxically, this tool has been developed to perform a totally basic operation. I had to extract email addresses from a PDF . So I exported the PDF in HTML pages and placed files in Localhost. Finally, I used the software to extract emails from files. A PHP script could have done that, but I’m bad in PHP …

The world doesn’t need any more spammers – not cool
I must a agree with rockstin316 – this script doesn’t make the world a better place
scripts like this help aid spamming .. “I know the world will come to an end one day” doesn’t mean we start distributing weapons to every one
nothing personal but hate getting spammed .. and cant help but notice that scripts like these just make it so much more easier for people..
but good job none the less
Does this script attract email addresses from a youtube and facebook account?
Hello, This software harvest email addresses from the page, not the database. So if addresses are in video description or comments (in YouTube example), yes the software will can harvest emails. It’s not a hacking software.
Beny
Can you filter what emails you don’t wan’t? And can you run this thru a proxy? Some websites like facebook will detect that you are crawling their site and will ban your IP address.
Currently no proxy and filter, only simple harvester. I’ll plan to add these features in future.
Thank you for ideas
Beny
I hope this small tool will help many people !
Best
