What does this slider have that onebyone doesn’t? Looks like OneByOne slider is better and cheaper?!

Hi this slider support the youtube/vimeo video. The main section is a basic slider(move vertically or horizontally), the onebyone can’t display the video properly when have animation with it.

Update:

Upon further examination. Still need #2 answered because the whole image isn’t clickable.

Couple of things…

1) Is it possible to have the slides set to auto forward to the next slide after a certain amount of time. If so, what’s the code?

2) can you make the entire main slide image a clickable link? I’ve made each image a link, but only the left half is clickable.

  • Update: I figured out #2. Simply remove the “subSlider” div and the “sliderItem” divs it contains and the whole background image becomes clickable.

Nevermind, figured it out.

It doesn’t work in IE I can see the loader and then it shows the first image but that’s it. Do you have any fixes for that?

Can I have 2 sliders on the same page? I can’t make it to work…

I posted the above comment and forgot to add I wanted to remove the green button at bottom. I put over 60 photos on it and that was too many buttons at the bottom/overflowed my container. When I tried to code it out in JavaScript show button false it still appeared so I eventually made that sprite image 0px in height and width in css to make it disappear. Is there another way to remove the green button at bottom besides the I did it? I do not have it active on the site for the public just on the web server at

Hi do you try set the showButton to false when embed the slider?
    $(document).ready(function(){
        $('#banner').simpleSlider({
            width: 960,
            height: 400,
            showButton: false
        });
    });

And please don’t post the preview here, please send it via my profile page instead. I’ll remove it late. :)

Is there a way to keep the left and right buttons/arrows static?- I would like to keep the left and right arrows displayed at all times instead of displaying on a hover. Thanks

Hi, just comment line 216 in the js, and minify it to the compressed file.
// if(arrowButton)arrowButton.fadeOut();
Or you can drop me a line via my profile page, I can send it the update file.

Nice work sike!

Looks pretty slick.

The YouTube video isn’t working in my preview. I’m using the current version of Chrome on a Mac.

Hi what’s the error do you get? I see it in Chrome 7 on Lion, and it works properly.

I just see a black box. No video is loading.

NEVERMIND – It only messes up in the ThemeForest iFrame. Previewing it outside the iFrame works fine.

Sorry about that!

Any plans for a WP Plugin?
