Hello,
Notice this on iOS 9.3.2 on iPhone 6 and iPhone 6S. Is there a fix for this ? https://s32.postimg.org/88je396et/sharky.png
Where do you compile your game at?? At Cocoon or Intel XDK? I never had a problem with graphics with Cocoon Compile. Try to reimport shark footage or try to create a new sprite import your graphics into that sprite sheet and then change that sprite with the shar sprite.
“Jumpy Shark – Underwater Action Game” by Volkan Kutlubay is the game with that graphic issue tested on iPhone 6 and iPhone 6S. Did you try it on these devices ?
Hi yes I did after your email and it was working fine. Btw I actually always test all my games on different devices to make sure. In email I said I didn’t test on iphone 6 because it was an old published game and iphone6 wasn’t around then but I remember I have tested it on my friends’ iphone 6 and 6s later on and it had no problems.but still tested it again recently after your email it was ok. Which compiler are y using?

Hi, thanks for your answer. I use Cocoon as a compiler. Eventually, I made a ‘trick’ and replaced the shark PNG with the octopus PNG (I was hoping that the shark PNG was broken). Unfortunately, the problem is the same on iOS 9.3.2 on iPhone 6 and iPhone 6S. Seems a transparency problem, the octopus is displayed on the same black square (as listed above). Do you have any idea what can I do to solve this problem? Some Construct 2 settings? Cocoon compiler problems? Thank you
I found a solution at cocoon website. Seems like gotta do with cocoon. Also try to update Construct2 to latest that might help. They say at ” This sometimes happens if you set “Lazyload” to false. That was the actual thought why scirra added this to the c2runtime file. So please try to rebuild the game without changing the Lazyload in your js file.”
Please check the link. https://shatter-box.com/knowledgebase/troubleshooting-fixes/#slow-loading
Try and see if it builds ok. I am at vacation right now but when I return home will solve this problem. During this time try the technique above and see if it works.
Hello, thank you for your answer, but I found a solution: to delete the brightness filter from Construct 2 which was on that picture. Also, now I have a problem with the sound on iOS. It was working fine until last week, when it was some maintenance on Cocoon.io. What I tried to compile from then it has no sounds on iOS. I compiled the original Jumpy Shark game and the same result, the game is working fine but without sound; and on Android everything is ok. I even made a new project with one sprite and a theme song, but I had the same result. On the Cocoon.io forum the responds were that it wasn’t made an changes on their iOS compiler, so I don’t know what else could be the problem. Maybe you have an idea what could it be? Thank you!
Wow thank you for the solution good to know that. Always learning something new. Yes in ios I always lived issues. Try preloading sounds in construct2 project settings. Also inside project layout do this. On start of layout preload music and see if it works. Mostly on ios music doesn’t turn on unless you touch the screen. Try to add a button or something like start or go to go to title screen so it can trigger the music to start.
you can help me. i build construck2 html5. This prohlem Exported game won’t work until you upload them. (when running on the file://) protocol, browsers block many features from working for security resons.
Hmm yes that does it in some browsers but it shold work ok when you upload the game to a website. You can still test the game by clicking the “Run Layout” button in Construct2. If it runs then it should work without a problem in a browser. Also try to test it in Internet Explorer rather than Firefox or other browsers it should work without a problem. Thank you.
