1. The Initial Zoom and Final Zoom values needs to be less (or equal) than 1. Never greater than 1.

2. The images size should be greater that slider size. In you case you have for slider 1440×636. The optimal values should be

initialZoom:0.85,

finalZoom:1

Setting image height and width in the stylesheet seems to have solved the issue. Not sure if there’s anything else I need to do?

I think we’re at cross purposes here. I nee to create a menu and that menu will send the user to a specific slide when a link is selected within it. The menu will be sitting outside of the slider.

When you touch the slider, the touch screen navigation feature for the slider is activated. To scroll the page you need to ‘touch’ outside the slider.

Another option is to deactivate the touch screen navigation feature for the slider by setting enableTouchScreen:false when you initialize the slider:
