Sorry to bother you again, but there is one thing that still not working! It’s deleting a file. Why when I try to delet a file it always shows when I refresh ?
Actually the plugin doesn’t work at all. When I upload a file (no matter the size, the extentions tried everything) I can’t save the file. The button doesn’t work at all. Tried pretty much everything. Whats the solution please ?
I need some more clues to figure out why are you experiencing this issue in you installation.
However first thing that comes in to my head is to ask you if you have the right privileg on upload folder. Could you check (and in case create) a subfolder called wcam? do you have 775 privileges?
Would be possible to have a backend access? and an ftp acces? (in case send me a private message. To do that, click on my name then use the low right box).
The folder didn’t exist so I have just created it but still the button is not working. How to check 775 privileges ? Having back end access is very critical as I am using some very sensitive files.
I have changed the folder to the default uploads folder and still not working. I can give you access through team viewer!
And changed back to wcam, changed it to 775 and still nothing!

Most likely that folder has not write permissions. If you are using ftp client, like filezilla, click with the right mouse button on the folder, then choose “File permissions” (or something like that) and set 775.
To do some further analysis and test I need beckend and ftp acces. unfortunatelly via teamviewer cannot be done.

The plugin, during he uploads, is doing a normal file upload using the standard PHP procedure.
If your website crashes most likely is because you have not properly configured PHP for that kind of upload.
Remember that usually php script after 30 seconds of exectuion time are killed by server by default. If you upload takes more than that you have to extend that time modifying the max_execution_time parameter in the php.in .
Furthermore you have to set some paramenters like upload_max_filesize, post_max_size, etc. Follow this guide to know which one has to be configured: http://www.sitepoint.com/upload-large-files-in-php/

I purchased the plugin a couple of minute ago, downloaded it and installed it – but I do not see the 3rd admin submenü entry for “automatic emails attachments configurator”! But that’s the thing I mostly need.
If I add manually ”?page=acf-options-automatic-emails-attachments-configurator” to the WP admin URL, I get a WP error that tells me that I do not have the proper rights …? But I am logged in as admin.
In addition I always get the following error in the backend AND in the frontend of my wordpress from that moment when I activate the plugin: ” Warning: call_user_func_array() expects parameter 1 to be a valid callback, function ‘acf_order_status_selector’ not found or invalid function name in /myhost/myserver/wp-includes/plugin.php on line 503 “

This kind of issue is related to a lack of capabilities. it requires the ‘edit_posts’ capability (that actually the admin role should have). Have you modified the admin role removing that kind of capability? Are you using any 3rd party plugin that manages custom user roles?
For what concerns the “call_user_fun_array()”, are you using the ACF plugin? which version?
And which php version are you running? Go to WooCommerce -> system status to know which one. Please remember that Wordpress requires min 5.5 version

Can I disable downloads to the client account? and only enable email attachments?
If I delete attachments, these generate a 404 error, this error will be able worse my SEO?

for what concerns emails attachments only, for now is not possible. But is a nice suggestion. I’ll add to my todo list and I’ll try to include in the next release.
For what concerns the 404 error what do you mean exactly? When you are deleting an attachment from the order details page it generate a 404 error or are you manually deleting the file from the folder? In both case it won’t worse your seo because attachments are not included in the site.xml and they are not managed by Wordpress Media component so they are not indexed by anyone.

Your plugin is great, but a few improvements would be perfect for our project, and I bet would be useful for others too.
- When the customer sends his approval for the file, we would like to force him to leave a feedback only if he says “no”, and if he says “yes”, no feedback is needed.
- When we send an e-mail through the plugin, backslashes are displayed before the single quotes, how can we avoid that ?

Great news ! I have tested the feature and it’s great. Now what about the backslashes? Maybe it’s an issue only on my setup?
For what concerns the back slashes I’ve done some tests sending messages using the Embed download/view links to WooCommerce emails? feature. I’ve sent some message containing the ” and ’ characters but no backslash appeared.
It coudl be an issue related only to your setup. Could write me down exactly the procedure you are following when the issue raises? In this way I can try to repeat in my test env and fix it

I get the backslashes when sending an e-mail through your plugin but also when modifying texts of the plugin (I am using a french copy of Wordpress and I’m wondering if it causes the issue).
I also forgot about one thing that would be very nice in your plugin : currently, when sending an e-mail, we have to copy/paste the same text each time. It would be great if it could use preset texts. We would type the texts once, save it to database, and then just one click in a select box to choose the text wanted.

Hi, I am looking for something like this and I wonder if you could attach files directly to physical products when creating a new product.
It would make more sense so that people who purchase a given product will have access automatically to its files let´s say for example a Product manual in PDF format, etc.

unfortunatelly the current version doesn’t offer a feature like that. But your suggestion could be very usefull.
A few questions:
- The idea is to have these products attachments accessible only after an order is placed? (thus download them from the order details page)
- the shop admin should have also an option to make them accessible only if the order has a particular status (like completed)?
- Attachments have also to be accessible directly from the product frontend page?
Hi Vanquish. That is exactly the idea. What I want is to make these files or attachements accessible through client private account only after the order is confirmed.
It would also be important if the customer could recieve a download link after order confirmation. This is just an idea but I think It would make it even perfect.

Ok, I’ve just released an update including the “automatic product downloads” feature. It will be avaiable to download on codecanyon in half a day (approval system takes awhile).
In this new version the shop admin can now attach files to product (from thei edit page) that are avaiable only after having purchased them and only if the order has reached the selected status for that file. The live demo site is already updated to the latest version! give a try!
My question is I am on version 3.5 how ever I have never received a notice of the updates you have released. Is there a way I can ensure I get alerts so I can install updates? I can redownload the files how ever that does not work well since i have to delete the old files and lose the settings etc.
What is the easiest way to ensure I get updates for this plug in?

For what concerns the update notices is my fault. Is because every time an update is submitted to CodeCanyon I forgot to thick the option to notify the users.
For what concerns the update is very simple. You can just delete the old one and install the new one. All the settings are kept you will not loose anything.

Hi, I have a problem with your plugin. My general options: “Secure download” and “Attach file to the Complete order email”. My order attachment options: “Embed download/view links to WooCommerce emails” Issue: When I add an attachment to the order and set any order status (procesing, completed, canceled etc.), message from “The following text will be included in the WooCommerce emails” is sending with all status emails to customers but not only with completed order email. How to fix it?

this two option are not related. Only for attachments you can choose to which kind of woocommerce email they can be attached.
For what concerns the “Embed download/view links to WooCommerce emails” option, it will inject the text field you insert in every email.
Unfortunatelly this is due to a WooCommerce limitation. To inject that text on email I’m using the woocommerce_email_before_order_table hook that, unlike the woocommerce_email_attachments hook to attach filet to emails, doesn’t pass as parameter the status of the email. So is not possible to attach that text only to a certain woocommerce emails type.
I’ve used this plugin successfully with my own translations since day 1. Now plugin won’t upload or save attachments after translating a few more phrases with Loco Translate. If I delete .po & .mo, everything is working again. Can I send the lang-files to you to investigate?

You mean you would automatically attach the same pdf file to every Processing and Completed Order email?
In this case is not possible. You have to manually attach one o more file to order by opening the order details page.

To let customers to attach files to an order, there is this other plugin of mine: WooCommerce Upload Files.
For both of them there is a full live demo site where you can do tests.
Just bought your plugin and this is exactly what I need. Now, wondering about a couple things after playing with it shortly.
1. When I delete an attachment from WP orders, a broken “download/view” button remains in the customer’s view-order screen. I would assume if the attachment is deleted, this button would disappear.
2. The “approval already sent message” doesn’t populate with yes/no after approval has been selected and saved. This leaves a blank spot on the page without indication as to the previous approval status.
Any tips on the above would be much appreciate.

for what concerns the 1. I’ve not clearly understand. Let me recap:
You delete an attachment (clicking on the red “delete” button and than on “Save” button) , but in the order detail front page still appear a broken “download/view” button? Clicking on it will show nothing because the file doesn’t exist anymore (this means that has been deleted). Right?
For what concerns issue 2. I’ll release a fix. Thank you very much for the reporting! 
Sorry, I think I may have made a user error for #1. I’m following your process and all seems to be well. Regarding #2, please let me know when an update is made. I can just rewrite the text to ignore the null space (status) for now. Thank you for the quick reply and assistance.

Pre-purchase question: if I understand correctly, your plugin allows me to attach a unique downloadable file to each order manually, which the customer can then download from the Order Overview under My Account? Two questions about that…
1. How is file security handled? Can other people access the file uploaded for a specific customer if they are not logged in, but they know the file link? 2. Can customers delete the file(s) from my servers?

Hi vanquish? I purchased just before the update. Using 3.4 the client could open the file, but now after updating to 3.5 and enabling secure download, the file becomes inaccessible. What is going wrong?
I need some more details to investigate the issue. Please remember that the client must log into the system before try opening a file, otherwise he cannot open it (for this case, a notice appears warning the user to login before opening a “secure download”) let me recap what is happening in your installation:
- You have created a new secure attachment for a client order
- The owner of the order logs into the system, goes to order page and clicking to download/view button…what happens exactly?
- which is the file extension?
- how big is the file?
- on demo site, are you experiencing the same issue?

The owner logs in and clicks the download/view button; then is given a ERR_INVALID_RESPONSE error page with the info “The webpage at https://jupos.nl/?wcam_id=626-0 might be temporarily down or it may have moved permanently to a new web address.” 3. PDF 4. 128 kb 5. No it seems to work fine on the demo site. What configuration could be to blame? Thanks in advance!

It’s hard to say why you are experiencing this issue in your installation.
This maybe depend on an old PHP verions issue that you are running. Which version currently are you running? the minimum required is the 5.5 (to see which version you are using, go to “WooCommerce” -> “System Status” menu).
This error could be also caused by the fact that PHP fails to compute the right file size to download and in this way the web server fails the “page opening” operation and downloading (jn this case the page is rapresented by the file). Could you send me a private message? Maybe I’ve a fixed version of the plugin that you can be tested.
Beyond PHP related issue I don’t know what other server related configuration could be cause this behavior.

Hi I have checked your plugin backend and frontend demo. I am really interested in your plugin, but I have a question.
If admin add a file for download to an order, it is visible for download in order page in front end, but the url of the file is a public url, which can be used or downloaded by anyone. Is there a way the only logged in user ( related to that order) can download that attachement showing in the order view page ?

WordPress by default, for security reasons, doesn’t allow certain file extension to be uploaded, like .php or .xml
Infact if you go to Media-> add new and try uploading a .xml file you will get and error: “file cannot be upload due to security reasons”.

hey friend, since you added feature to allow backend to change Attachment section title. Might as well make every other title text customisable, just allow more flexibility and less messing up with the template for customers.
All I see left is these text string: “Do you approve?” “Approvation already sent. Selected value was”
Then Select Box options title and Radio box options title. Just let the backend customise these text strings!
Should be a simply echo call in php. cheers

Great job friend! For websites that don’t want clients to see the actual directory/urls of the files. You may consider utilising the prettyphoto js already in woocommerce for media files (photos,videos,etc.) An optional feature. I think that’s the only reason left for me to rename my wp-content folder in my flow at the moment. As any client open up the Attach Me file, it goes straight to the directory.
